pda2k No Radio Upgrade No answer in WIKI

My wife has a pda2k that the phone quit working on, the pda functions are fine. I was able to upgrade the rom and ext rom but when I try to upgrade the radio it always fails. I have been all over this site and the web nothing has worked to flash the radio. When the flash progarm runs I can see the rom and ext rom versions but nothing is displayed for the radio. I have tried all versions of the roms I have found. Always the same the radio fails, I had to remove the radio rom from the dir. to get the others to update, I then tried the radio alone several times, several different waysand it always fails with various errors.

put ruu.dll, radio_.nbf and MaUpgradeUt_noID in a folder, and run the maupgradeut.exe file...this should upgrade the radio rom only, that is the gsm part.

Did you follow the wiki radio upgrade only instructions ? if so what is the error?

I have tried both options listed above, the upgrade starts sits at 0% for several minutes then fails. I do not remember the exact error, this is what happens every time.

put ruu.dll, ruu.conf, radio_.nbf and MaUpgradeUt_noID in a folder, then put your device into bootloader mode by pressing power, reset, and record buttons at the same time, this combination of buttons will show "Serial" and bootloader version on your screen, then place it on the cradle, the "Serial" should change to "USB" then kill activesync (open task manager and kill rapimgr.exe and wcescomm.exe) then start MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe and all should be fine
if an error pops up please let us know

This not working. I Has the same problem. It seems like HW problem. Can't update radio. Then BT address 00:00:00... And now it freez at startup always.
IMHO. This is bad Flash which died.
I am waiting for answer about a month an still haven't one.

SoftService is right, if this type of upgrade fails it may be a hardware issue

I created a directory with the files listed and this is the error message I recieved:
error 114: radio rom update error

I think fullflash will help us from that problem. But it will the question how to unlock device after this procedure.

Mine is labeled PDA2K. It has quit syncing now. It just seems to be dying a slow agonizing death, and it's taking me with it! I need my electronic brain back.
I have tried all the suggested steps repeatedly. I am getting nowhere. It seems to want to work, it just keeps erroring out.

I had yesterday some problems regarding radio upgrades, which can not be solved by WIKI, so :
my radio rom was TYPEII and the files for upgrade are TYPEI => It can not upgrade
Tryed radio 1.13 TYPEI with TYPEI files and NOID => error
then tryed radio 1.13.1 TYPEII with its TYPEII files and just copied into that dyrectory the NOID APP and it worked (i have just learned that MAUpgradeUT_NOID.exe works with TYPEII RUU.dll and RUU.conf)
I was surprised because i use NOID for upgrading my roms and the files are TYPEI

problems ugrading to wm5

hi all, i have been looking and asking questions all mornin on how to upgrade to wm5, so i downloaded needed files, hard reset my xdaIIs and run rom, with the baupgrade rom i get error 103 and with the maupgrade it runs for 20 secounds or so, says its comlete and to do another hard reset, and when i have done this nothin is different, please tell me where i am going wrong,
My device info is
rom version 1.40.00 WWE
protocol version 1337.42
Extrom 1.40.237 WWE
I take it my xda is still standard?

regarding the the maupgradeutnoid.exe, when your using it for the vry first time, you have to disable activesync first, put your device into bottloader mode, and put it ine the cradle... you could here a sound, wait till the device would be recognize and wait till a popup message telling you that the new device installed is ready to use and that's the time where you run the maupgradeutnoid.exe otherwise you'll keep on just getting that message that the upgarde is finished, well actually nothing has happened.
since, its your first time attempt of upgrading to wm5, you can use baupgrade.exe but be sure you have set the corect operator for your device. to know what is your operator info, just transfer the getdeviceinfo.exe to your device and run it, this .exe will generate devicedata.txt found in the windows directory of your device. tranfer it to your pc and read it from there, in my case I have an imate, my operator is CDL_01, remember this coz you will neede this when your upgrading to wm5.
in any rom that you can download in this site, there is an included bat file, setoperator.bat, and enter you operator info, after that your ready to run baupgradeut.exe with no problem... read the wiki for better understanding.. alwaysssssssssss read..............

HTC Wizard100 not responding after 2_47_11_radio installation

I am using HTC wizard 100 with following setup
IPL 1.01
SPL 1.08
GSM 01.12.10
ROM 1.5.4.2 WWE
Radio 01.12.10
Today I tried to install 'radio only' - 2_47_11_radio.
After this my pocket PC is not responding at all.
When I start my cell - it's getting stuck on windows mobile screen, with passowrd on top left corner of task bar and network, speaker and clock displayed in the task bar.
I have goodlink installed in my phone which prompts for the password when I start the phone.However as because it's stuck on the windows mobile screen I am not able to enter the goodlink password also.
And when I reboot GSM information is missing from the initial screen. I am not able to connect my phone using USB cable also.
Can anyone please let me know what I did wrong because of that my phone stopped working. And is there anything that can be done to get it working again.

I would say go back to 02.19.11, its so much better then the ones after!!!!

Does anyone know why the sound is gone after increasing the volume up to its maximum?

Ok hold the voice button and re-set your phone. Still holding the voice button press the power button till the phone comes back on! Now you should get the boot screen now you just have to connect your usb and there you go run the update prgramm on your computer with the new rom and let it do its stuff!
I had the same problem, and i thought to my self crap. But i was able to down grade my radio rom!!! So dont worry you are able to save your phone!

It's known that 2.xx radios won't work with 1.xx IPL/SPL. Make sure you have unlocked your phone properly, then upgrade to a AKU 2.xx ROm before you upgrade your radio to 2.47.11

you can get the newest version of youre carriers ROM from www.HTC.com you just have too lok around to find it... should be something like "support by carrier" or something and then in the "downloads" section. good luck
P.S. i dont believe that the phone has to be unlocked to do the carriers shipped roms... my cingular 8125 was NOT CID or SIM unlocked and it worked just fine.

Charmer Help please!!!!!!!

Hi All, tried to updrade charmer to touch flo ver2.1 but had error that host disconnected, now will only boot to tmobile splash screen with this info (noticed os has changed but cant remember original) also tried soft and hard resets to no avail

I can also boot to the three colour screen and it recognises when the usb is plugged in but i cant seem to flash anything, i have tried a number of RUU but get different error messages, mostly that i need a newer upgrade tool or invalid vendor etc.

UPDATE: managed to flash this rom, (charmer_wm6_vlono_004.4) says all was ok but still stuck in tmobile boot screen??? info still the same

UPDATE: Managed to load latest tmobile charmer rom RUU_Charmer_38221_382116_026921_TMO_UK_WWE_Ship.exe

i got the same problem and i fixed it^^
1. i started charmer in bootloader mode (press and hold power button while you reset with stylus)
2. i installed T-Mobile AKU 3.3 from handy-faq.de
3. i installed [vlodeck TouchFLO WM6 ver. 2.1]
works perfect^^

oh yeah.. i forgot

I used a crude method of fully charging the battery. I downgraded to the default T-mobile ROM that came with the unit. After the flashing process, was complete, the unit rebooted (as it was supposed to), then switched itself off after showing the SPL/IPL data for about 3 seconds.
The battery, was fully charged in a universal charger. To get it to turn on again, I have to remove the battery for a few seconds. A hard reset, doesn't fix the problem. I can still enter the boot-loader though
I've tried all the various ROM files on this site, with no success. Any suggestions?

I've PMed you saying that you can try flashing WM5 prophet rom. It should work.

when I try to install AKU 3.3 always at 80 % i get a 302 connection error

I cant get wm6 on my wizard

I have an O2 XDA Mini S - G4 model
i have sat and read how to flash this model. I have installed HardSPL, shown on boot screen as shown by the olip in the version number, i then proceeded to use MUN RUU utility and my chosen rom which was the AMP rom.
I dropped the file into my updater folder and ran the flash tool
It runs through, goes from 1 to 100%, hangs for a short time at 100% then closes and reboots the wizard. All good so far, yes?
No, the ppc reboots and starts up WM5 again and then adds all the o2 customisation.
I have tried using the TNT rom too, same problem. I have also removed HardSPL and tried using SoftSPL. Same damn thing there too, once the flash is complete it reboots and starts wm5 again.
Anyone know whats wrong?
I seem to now have the TNT boot screen, but still have WM5. lol
