I've search hard for a solution, and know its been discussed, is there a way to remove the battery icon in the top right hand corner.
I prefer the smaller version in the bottom left hand corner which I've now added to my startup folder.
umm search bro.. there is a clock application that will cover it up
if you did'nt find it here it is http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=45084
Fine work levenum :lol:
The app mentioned above and a few others is the only option. It's hard-coded into the OS in AKU 2.0, with no way to change it.
MS said that in AKU 2.2 and beyond a registry key will allow for changing the location.
....or use Wisbar Advanced 2, you get the clock back
Cheers
hrb
you don't get the clock back with Wisbar Advance - it just completely replaces the taskbar. It's like having birdpoop on your blue car, and instead of washing it off, you just paint your entire car red. Voila - birdpoop 'gone'.
Not dissing Wisbar Advance, btw.. it's a great tool, and cheap - but get it for its own merits, not just to get rid of the battery icon / get a clock.
Hi guys
Is there any way to disable the tray bar in WM 6.
Im using Helmi ROM.
I was just wondering, because i see in some WM5 versions its not there.
Thanks!
Try this
;=======================================
;remove all Icons from Traybar
;=======================================
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\Power]
"ShowIcon"=dword:00000000
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\ScreenRotate]
"ShowIcon"=dword:00000000
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\WirelessMgr]
"Flags"=dword:00000004
there is an application for that..io cant seem to remember its name now..but it was in one of Helmis rom or c_shekhars

Thanks mate!
But this just removes certain icons. Some programs like Palringo have their own tray icon.. any idea on how to remove that one? It just takes up too much space on the screen and I can't get rid of it without a Soft Reset.
I don't know palringo but it's likely that it has its own options menu in which you can check/uncheck traybar icon. If not, search the registry for palringo to see if there is a setting that looks like the ones mentioned above. Or perhaps an ini file in the palringo folder?

I noticed this comment a little late ;-)
I agree that VJToggleToday is a very nice utility, but it toggles top- and bottom-bars, not the tray bar. I wish I knew a simple way to disable/enable the tray bar in a single click
Seeking same answers... VJ's toggle can be used to remove tray... look:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=360456&highlight=icon+tray
But VJ's prog seems to be an alpha... and not listed in hes site. I'll give it a try but if it's in the memory all the time... I won't use it. Don't like those tweakers messing my memory and causing all the troubles you can not then solve...
Seems TodayToggle is not resident in the memory - that's good. But it does not remove the _tray_ only the "softkeylabels" -bar.
Hey mens!!
I think that my problem is general:
I use s2u2, without HTCphoneskin. Well, how do you know, we lost the icons for Bluetooth, Headset and Handsfree.
I solved the problem for the BT with the cab Bluetooth Icon Notifier (nice colors icons, blue and red), but I donĀ“t found for to can see anothers ones on the taskbar..
Somebody know any cabs for to do it???
Thanks in advance, best regards
Somebody with any solution??? Please, I am crazy with this issue...

for location?
It's a circle with a peak under the circle, and a "!" at the right.
And i think you're right, it may be the location because it look likes to : http://www.wired.com/images_blogs/epicenter/2009/05/mapsdata-icon.png

I'll post if I see, it haven't seen it on any hero rom so i'm not 100% on what it looks like.
I'm trying to re-do the bug, but nothing :/
I've seen it on Modaco ROM on the first boot of my brother's Hero i believe.
EDIT = I have it ! It's on HtcLocationService.apk (res/drawable*resolution*/stat_notify_new_location_found.png), thank you for your indications about Location.
