what XDA IIs ROM Upgrade? where?
Its the O2-UK ROM upgrade, see http://www.my-xda.com. It has new O2 active, B/T build 3900, Radio build 1.12, Win CE version 1.4, BB Connect V2.0. But everytime i try to run it, it says file corrupt.
New and changed in this version of software, v1.40.237 are:
O2 Active UI v3.6.024
Bluetooth build 3900
Radio build 1.12
Windows mobile CE version 1.40
BlackBerry Connect v2.0
Removal of Photo Contacts

Looks like a f*ck up, but I've let the product manager know.
I've had the same problem- they can't get anything right- we wait months and months and then they upload a corrupt file!

Seems the sound loss on shutdown of wmp10 still exists, not sure about the volume loss bug, when receiving / making calls.
Seems quicker overall though.
can someone get me the cab file for o2 active UI cos i wanna try it with wm5.0, i know it prob aint going to work, but hell, i can try it. 8)
It's on the ftp under /Uploads/BlueAngel, its the install.arm.cab file thats about 2.5 meg.

Well, done, already spitted trough all big topics for wm2005 last weekend, horrible to do so by the way(spended more than 20 hours on this fora, shall not mention all others):evil: for a little effort. (yes, sometimes skipped some reply's)
Also copied the half of the ftp servers to my pc :lol:
Some of the stuff of the extended roms there is useless for BlueAngels, also some things can work, or needs to be patched, but to find out what will work for me under wm2005 takes some time.
Sure normal applications work, but a working midlet manager, still no luck for me. :evil:
But renember that a Himalaya and the BlueAngel are totaly different devices, (also wm2003 and wm2005)common thing like a bootscreen will not work, as for now. caller-id is totaly obsolete, (don't know for Hima).
The fax of my original ext rom did gave errors, during install. :evil:
At the moment the wiki of the BlueAngel is totally outdated, since there is so many fixed.
Also from M. a ba_wm5_fix_v3.rar versie on the wiki still reverts to V1.

I Have the same problem. When I try to install the MMS cab, I get saying it's not signed with a trusted certificate. I followed the link and downloaded the Version 3 Patch Cab. It made no difference. Any other ideas?

does anyone have the Modem application that used to be in the programs on 2003, the one you use to set the BA as a moden on a PC or laptop and connect when craddled that way, know what I mean ???

That's the version I was using, I tried the one you linked to in case mine was corupt or something but still go the error message. Is there a way to stop WM 5.0 checking for a digital signature?

well i managed to got it working on a PH20B by installing the latest signed rom. (still the test one)
Now Version 3 is out: not on my system yet.

starting with:
- ba_wm5_fix_v3.rar
- Buttons_Fix_v2.rar

Maybe this works for u to? 8)
As far as i concern, only the blackberry has been added to the latest rom for the IIi from o2, those monkey didn't even update the radio version (1.03 latest) ...

Hey Pug - how you getting on with the radio on the latest O2 IIi ROM?
Read somewhere on this site that the new ROM wouldn't work with the radio 1.03. Thought I'd persevere for a couple of days but it wouldn't work.
I then thought what "Fu** it" and went back to 1.11.162 as realisticaly I'd never use Blackberry much anyway. It'd be cheaper for me to check my e-mails over GPRS.
Should delete that modified update from the FTP as it doesn't work, unless someone wants to see if they can get it to work.
ta for the update, I'm using O2's new ROM with Blackberry support - and so far (touch wood!) - it seems ok.
ja it does seem ok at pressent ..does anyone find that it connects much faster when say updating traffic on tomtom ..not sure if it is my imagination or not

The new 02 ROM has problems with using Bluetooth headsets I have found and I dont care about the Blackberry bit. I am going to revert back to 162 over the weekend.

After all these applications I still have 18MB of storage left on the device given I deleted all the ATT&T junk stuff out. Im also using Radio Version 1.54.30.10 and it works so good with Tmobile in Southern California.
I have read all the stuff about the WM6.1 Lite and see all kinds of problems that is just not worth going through. Arcsoft MMS is a pain and so does all the other problems. You guys should download the normal version and call it a day. Just my 2 cents.

You can upgrade using KaiserCustomRUU (like I did) - you need to rename cheeimg.nbh to RUU_signed.nbh, put it to one folder with RUU and run

So still no official WM 6.1 ROM for Treo 750, only cooked ones from other devices ............
I upgraded to this version and now my yellow light keeps blinking and cant figure out why, i am running radio 1.54.30.10 on AT&T Cingular. Anyone have any thoughts?
Hmmmm, very strange, i did a few resets with no luck, then i just went ahead to start doing some installs, the first thing i ran was the 1_CHEE_MountExtROM and did a reboot and the yellow blinking light went away, how is that for weird?
I have also been running this ROM downloaded off the ppcwarez site. It is very nice. I have yet to find any issues with it and I have noticed that it is noticeably faster than the Chaimd WM 6.0 AKU 0.7.0 ROM. I also like that the OEM battery icon is back and that the radio performance appears to be much better - retains HSDPA when surfing or tethered consistently versus swapping from HSDPA to 3G as it did in the past - also fewer dropped calls than before. Note - I did not upgrade the radio firmware and I am running on 1.54.27.00.
The only thing this ROM appears to be missing (from what I can tell at least) is MS Voice Command. I do not use this feature and so is a non-issue for me.

Ok, update, so far this ROM is just as fast and much more solid then the Chaimd WM 6.0 AKU 0.7.0 ROM. That ROM crashed and locked up my phone 4 times last week with nothing else installed on the Treo so there was no issue with third party conflicts. This ROM is super stable with 1.54.30.10. I am honestly finally enjoying my treo for some time now....
Damn guys thanks I am at work right now and cant wait to get to the house and get this downloaded. I will be upgrading my tilt to the new dutty's rom and I guess I will be upgrading my treo to this rom. I am gonna be a busy man tonight. These rom updates will give the XDA Flame a much needed rest hopefully I will be able to give it an rom update as well. All is well for tonight will be a fun filled night of rom updating!!!!
Well after several calls to UK Orange business tech support they have send me the ROM update file:

They didn't know when it would be officially released, but if you are needing 6.1 and don't wont to void your warranty with Hard SPL - there is a solution you can ask for.

Has anyone been able to download the 3.57.502.2 WWE firmware update from HTC? I have attempted to download over the past 24 hours however the file linked to the download page is the 1.62 ROM. I ask this for a specific reason. I need a ROM that has been through the Windows Logo Certification to compare some test results against.

HTC Customer Support is aware of the link being for the old or existing ROM and they claim to be working on fixing the link. It may be that problems have surfaced with the new ROM and these are being fixed before we can download it. No estimate was given of how soon the problem will be resolved.
Looks like Monday at the earliest. Sounds about right. Can you imagine releasing a major update on the weekend when the support staff is at a minimum?

Actually, even the descriptor text is back to showing 1.62.xx.xx now.
