Hi, got xda IIi last week and seem to be having a problem with my Motorola BT car kit. Previously with my phone (Motorola V600) I paired once when I first got the car kit and that was it. With the xda I seem to have to pair (which means I have to switch on) each time I get in the car? Should the xda be able to pair with the car kit when it is in 'off' mode, even though the blue led is still flashing? Thanks Jez.

Sorry about that, if you look under O2 in the same page you will see it. Ever so sorry about that.
damn links!!
This is the O2 xda car kit
I ordered the kit from directmobileaccesories.com and it arrived yesterday, it is an O2 boxed xda car kit.
Everything works fine - except - I removed my old Nokia 9110 car kit which had a radio mute kit that feeds the phone through the car speakers, and tried to connect the radio mute from the O2 kit to the radio mute lead used by the Nokia car kit. When I place the xda in the cradle it immediately cuts over from the radio to the phone, even before the phone part of the xda is activated.
I have a radio mute on the steering console so I have temporarily disconnected the mute lead and fitted the speaker that came with the xda car kit.
Any suggestions why the radio mute cuts over straight away ?
Try making a call
Hi,
I have seen the same behaviour, it looks like the mute works reversed. If you make a call the radio will swotch on.
If this is your problem it should be easy to fix by using a small relay or something similiar.

the problem has resolved itself
the problem I had with the radio muting all the time has resolved itself, it now works perfectly.
Hi,
Just got a MDA Vario III and paired it with my built in bluetooth car kit in a Citroen. Pairs with no problems. My problem is when I receive/make phone calls. As soon as I answer, the built in car bluetooth system says "Silence". I can only hear the call once I click on the phone "turn hands free off" then click "turn hands free on". So for whatever reason it doesn't appear to pick up the hands free as a default. I have tried other bluetooth phones in the car with no problems. Rang t-mobile, then HTC, neither could help. HTC told me they only recommend certain bluetooth car kits which wasn't helpful.
Anybody else experienced similar probs. If so how did you fix it. Or is there a way to make one of the buttons on the phone toggle hands free on/off as this would be easier than trying to tap the touchscreen whilst driving.
For your info have hard reset the phone, also tried some hotfix found on the web for bluetooth probs on this model. No joy either time.
Thanks for any help.

I'm new at this, but i've scanned over and read everywhere looking for a solution, but to get to the point, is there anyone that has found a stereo bluetooth headset that works on the A7?
I bought a GoGroove Airband headset in hopes that it would be compatible, it says it's A2DP, and the Elocity website says that devices with that profile should work. I'm currently using Dexter's 1.2, and i've tried the official firmware release from elocity as well with no success. Most all of the bluetooth devices with the exception of my Samsung cellphone have been in the "Paired but not connected" loop. It essentially just keeps trying to reconnect.
Am i doing something wrong or is this maybe something that can be fixed in a later mod from dexter
Sorry to make this drag out but I would just like to know if anyone has been able to get their bluetooth headsets/devices to work and what devices/brands they used or tried.
Thanks in advance

I have been using the Motorola S305. It connects briefly the first few times but eventually on the third or fourth try the connection sticks.
Ive been wondering about those, but from what I have read, only the headphone (stereo) part would be a2dp compatible. The mic parts probably use HFP, HSP or AVRCP.
I picked up this headset because of you. I love it! Big ups brother!
motorola knockoff S9 doesn't work.
I have 3 s9/hd from dealextreme.com. $22ea. They pair but do not connect. Insignia headset works great, as does motorola dc800 and sony car stereo.
The Firmware Update from 2/24/11 has resolved the issue with the GoGroove Airband headphones. They now Pair and connect without problems.
I have been using Insignia NS-BTHDP Bluetooth from best buy (I think you still can get them on ebay) and they work fine, I am using dexter mod 1.1
I have s9 HD from moto they work just fne and I'm using dex 1.3

i have been trying to pair my bluetooth, it will pair but it will not connect, i have stereo earhugger headset, (hfblu-sth3), my tablet is updated but i keep getting the run around from elocity about the problem, the bluetooth is every thing they required so what is going on? please help
Hey guys,
My tmobile one wont auto connect to my cars stereo. It will pair but then it wont automatically connect when I turn the car on. Even when I force connection in the menu it sometimes wont connect and if it does it takes forever.
I have tried blue tooth auto connect from the play store and that doesn't really help.
This has been happening since I got the phone and have tried a variety of roms. My nexus 4 never had this issue.
Any way to fix it? Anyone have the same problem?
If anyone is curious I drive a Subaru WRX.
I have similar issue connecting to eclipse avn. I didn't have any issues before with defy and nexus s. Sometimes it connects fine though not sure where the problem is. Thanks

Try to update your bluetooth car stereo software if applicable. I had same problem with my Alpine Headset. Most likely, problem is your headset, not your phone.
I had this issue at one point. I had to factory reset the handset. After I did that, I repaired and it connected automatically from then on out.
I had this issue with my Blue&Me system in my car, and to fix it, I have to reset and delete my user profile on the car.
After, I re-pair my phone and everything is good to go. Strangely, I need to do that every time I reset my Bluetooth preferences in my phone. (from Rom updates, etc.)
Give it a try.
I use the HTC Car mode extensively with my phone automatically connecting to 2 bluetooth devices - Parrot Carkit for voice, and an XCarlink module to stream music etc via A2DP over my car radio.
To initiate the Car mode I use either an official HTC Car dock, or else because I want to use a case I also use another Car mount dock which registers properly with the phone as being a car dock.
Ever since the 4.2.2 update, 4 times out of 5 Car mode will stop and revert back to the normal desktop within a matter of seconds, dropping one or both bluetooth connections. This didn't happen previously!
If I manually restart the Car mode, and manually reconnect the bluetooth device(s) I have no problems for the rest of my journey.
Any suggestions?
Bump - anybody?
