Sorry You will need to wait till the new version of xda3tools coz the rom image had been changed....
All we can do now is wait

I went to dopod.com but I can read anything so I cant find the download link. Maybe you can do better.

There is an button to change to english
But i can't see the dopod 700 there so i guess there are also no files for it to download there.

Now that is a thought download a CHT rom form a translated to English web page.
Would think the rom would be in the non translateded section. (which I can't read)

That could be the case, Check wiki (in my sig) for roms, but never read about Optus so you might be out of luck.

Optus in Australia ship O2 branded World Wide English devices, I don't know (and would be surprised) if there is any Optus specific customisation or branding.

Rom for XDAII i

This is my first posting here. Really its a great site with useful informations.

I have an O2 XDAII i. Im living in Lebanon. I downloaded the newest rom from SeeO2.com. Rom version is "Xda_IIi_Upgrade_v111169".
As noticed, this Rom contains BlackBerry support.. I wont use this feature coz I dont need it here in Lebanon. So my question,after browsing the Alpine section, is the following:
Where can I get a suitable Rom update, Stable and fix many bugs,
and can update the whole things together ?
My current Rom contains the following info:
ROM Version: 1.10.00 WWE
ROM date: 12/24/04
Radio Version: 1.00.00
Protocol Version: 1337.39
ExtROM version:1.10.124 WWE

PS : If there is a www site instead of FTP, this would be great , as I dont have access to FTP files [ restriction by cable ]

Tell me about this Rom. Is it official for O2, or is it modifiyed, or combined like the 2nd link u provided ( The FTP one ). Which one do u advise? The 1st (Sonofon) or the 2nd combined by u (FTP )?

The one I compiled is ready to go, just follow the instructions. The original needs decompressing and the upgrade program I have in mine to install.
They both have a different extended Rom. Personally, I cooked mine so I'm not bothered about exr rom numbers.
Whatever you choose you get the new radio.

That could be a problem with your SD card.

After read many and many of the articles, I decided to go ahead with the upgrading. I downloaded the Modified_XDA_IIi_Upgrade_v1.11.162_Radio_1.04.rar and extract it into a folder, as follow the instructions by clicking the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe. Doesn't matter how many time I clicked it just keep saying "The application has failed to start because RUU.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.". I have searched and searched just can not find anything about this. PLEASE Help!!

how this could happen to you? if you extract the zip file... all files are came together. RUU.dll too.....

That's odd. Most people have no problems with it at all.
All I can suggest is download it again.

working STK for WM6 pls

can someone pls post a WORKING STK that works under WM6. badly need it, this is the one feature that WM2003 has that WM5 or WM6 seems to lack. so if anyone managed to find an STK program that works. pls upload.

use search>STK and find that there are already several threads discussing it. There is no working WM6 STK (yet?)

yup, did search already, but all are under WM5 thread headings and etc. im just making this an easy to use and search thread under WM6, so if there will be one, it will be easy to find.

We try our best to get the STK working but no luck! Sorry man!

Sorry man, I've been busy with my hobby, riding bmx (flatland). Sometimes I'm playing WarCraft III (DotA). Don't worry man, I visit our site but very often. I am also searching other sites that have a pocket pc forum. Maybe they have solution to our problem, and share to others.

it is not working....

i tested an O2 ZINC
and found that STK was working on that device. it was running WM5 and as per my deduced reasoning, there is no engneering design difference between XDA 2 and ZINC with regards to simcard holder and software for the simcard.
i also found some file differences between my XDA 2 running WM6 and the ZINC running WM5, i tried to download some files like stkui, sim...something, and other dll and such files from the ZINC unit (it was not mine) but activesync could not copy the files.
i know that those files can help me make the STK run in XDA 2 WM 6. if someone can post files from ZINC, thats probably will start with stk or sim please do upload all files, and i will test running them on XDA 2. please, thanks.

for those who have other devices running WM6 or WM5, please post some files from your WINDOWS folder, some of those or a combination of those will make the STK work for WM6 on O2 XDA.
by the way, the posted STK.ZIP will run the STK menu but only on the first menu level, it will not activate the next level menus.

yup i agree with you bro! but until nw i dont knw y does simtoolkit doesnt work on xda2 wm6. guys out there pls post your stk running on wm6 here, attach file here.. this wud be a great help.. thanks. happy new year to all!

me and nesty tried alot..but only got the first menu to work...lets try even harder..Happy new year to all

successfully managed to ZIP files from O2 ZINC to try to copy the STK files from the ZINC and copy to the XDA 2.
with VERY FUNNY RESULTS, look at the attached JPEG file of my screen copy of the ZIP file that i got from the ZINC.
look at the encircled RED, the SIMSEC.DLL, SIMTKIT.DLL, SIMTKUI*.MUI, are all ZERO BYTES because ROM based files CANNOT be copied or overwritten in any device.
I think, and this is per deductive reasoning, these exact same files which we should change, however, these files cannot be copied from another device to another device....because it is ROM based. so if someone can copy these files, pls do and upload.

Which Roms you are asking for,if you want any official stock roms look for them on the carrier's website or search this forum,there are many post with links for official roms,but if you are looking for latest custom build wm6 or wm6.1 roms,look in 'Wizard Mobile 6' Forum.

if your adm blocks rapidshare.. let us to know where did you can get download succes... to TRY! reupload at your choice... BUT! remember to mention it on the ROM forum.

isint it possible to attach the roms directly to the post like when ppl attach small phone apps,,im looking for a touchflow wm6.1 rom for g4 wiza200 plz guys

FTP xda? see the wizard sub thread on wizard main forum there is the ftp link just navigate to find the roms....
if you dont have attached anything... the size for upload are too light so try ftp. if not
agin.... tell us where to upload a mirror... even sky storage by MSN allows 30mb to down!

The roms aren't there. xda-dev were told to take them down by microsoft. There is an old text file in the root of the ftp stating why, but since WM5 has now been replaced by WM6/6.1 I don't see why they don't put them back. It's very annoying since I'm looking for a 02 UK original rom.
