Upgrade Killed bluethooth stability

I installed the Qtek update 126
when I turn on bluethooth everything works fine.
when I put my phone in standby, the bluethooth light will remain on, but when turned on again. You will see the bluethooth indicator switch to off and then on again.
I need it to stay always on, How can I do this ? is this a registry setting.
(side effect, because of this, my headset will not function currectly)

First I would think that you mean Qtec Ext Rom 1.22.126
I have not seen the EXtrom 1.22.126 (might like to upload it).
I would think that its about the same as the 1.22.121 which has no BT patches.
I would sugest that you visit the kitchen on wiki and download the other patches based which you will find in the new base.

but for the record this is what i currently got
rom version: 1.22.00 WWE
radio version: 1.06.02
extrom version: 1.22.126 WWE
after the rom update
I installed the 2 BT patches
I even installed the new patch 1.500 (or was it 1.600)
anyway still same problem.
so what do you suggest ?

well u could start by telling us what the patches are as in the name of them

Did you check the kitchen? as in did u look at the new base to see if u r mising something.

The way I understand the situation is before you moved to Qtec Ext Rom 1.22.126 you had no problems.

Looking at that rom I find:
Run_BTTrayCE_10.exe and Run_BTTrayCE_10.CAB.
Now as I cant take the Run_BTTrayCE_10.exe apart I have not added this to the kitchen.

Add the rest of the cabs out of the kitchen as per above.
Hardreset your device.
Check if it solves the probelm.
Report your conclusions and we will take it form there.

Would it be unfair to say that Exteneded Roms are like your privat parts.
You get to play with them and only a few get to see them,
My self I use the I-mate and the stuff I need out of the kitchen.
This is your call, the things you might like to keep were your customizing files.
Best thing is read wiki, work out what you think you need, flush your rom, and install the rest of the cabs by hand, this way you dont need to do a hard reset. Copy a config.txt over if you feel happy with what you have done.
I will cook that rom now and post the info in about an hour.

New rom CHT rom found on ftp o2 asia (USE AT OWN RISK)

I found this new rom on the ftp and I don't like it.
1) Its not an orginal ship.exe
2) the nbfs have been modified and now read T-MOB101
3) The ext rom has splash screens from qtek and kpn
4) the header info of the CE rom reads 1.22.00 and not 1.31.00
5) Its a type I rom which I find hard to believe as its ment to be a 1.31.00
The file can be found in uploads I will not move it or add it to wiki untill I see an original ship.exe. I also have not added a link. Use at own risk

It can't be as the rar is an ship.exe extraction with a change,bat and the xda3nbtool in it. The files have been modified with T-MOB101, and the rest of what I said in post 1 is still true
I downloaded it again 10 mins ago (XDA_IIs_Chinese_CHT_1.31.00_ ExtRom_1.31.900_Radio_1.08.00)
If I upload this as an original and somebody that has o2 asia CHT will try to flash it with the wrong operator code,
-> then he will post "I get opcode error on upgrade"
-> we will say "try an original ship.exe"
-> he will say "I am"
and... Well we will say "Sorry about that wiki is not what it once was".
What we neeed is the Untouched ship.exe the one with the 02_ASIA code in it, else I a call it a baked rom.

I got this ROM from Wiki see " Can't reboot after upgrade to XDA IIs Chinese" , work fine for me , I reload Dopod 13106_118_10600 ship Rom and extended ROM that's original.

Well thats the end of that story, i will post it as baked, thanks mwang, you are our cht man. (was there not a song about that?)

doing the downgrade now.

on the surface this looks like a rom that i could use on my uk t-mobile mda3 as it appears to ship an updated version of bb connect along with an updated radio, and an english version of bb connect aswell!
i may flash this weekend and test with BB connect..
or maybe (hoping a bit much here i think) t-mobile uk are soon to release an upgrade!

I need to follow this thread..
the extended rom has many things that are modified and updated from my last version of 2003se.
and would you beleive it I have just by opening the above extended rom rar at last understood how to create ones extended rom....

There is radio 1.13 onboard "radio_.nbf" around 5mb's extract the whole rom and you see 3 nbf files. take the radio_.nbf and put it in the install directory of your pc, Run the MaUpgradeUt__NoId.exe. with only the radio in the folder than only your radio will be updated. same for the extended rom.
was not able yet to continu with this rom, just finished my work and can test with this rom.
Butt so ugly those se editions i already was used to wm5, and going back in a couple of day's.
So if anybody needs something of this rom, ill extract it and post it here.
I start later on with the registry of this rom and a romdump, maybe we can use some of it on wm5.

Correct, it is not on the extrom, butt in the exe.
i think there are no updates on the radio, coz its still on v1.13
But some cabs of the extended rom are new (for t-mobile-nl)

How to make a cab with Phone settings?

Hi,
the thing holding me back from updating the ROM is i want to wait until it is close to perfect so i only have to do it once and only have to put in all the damn phone settings (3 Australia) once..... otherwise i have to go thru all that stuff over and over again each time i update the ROM.
Is it easy to make a cab file with the three settings so we can continually update roms etc and easily get our settings back?
Is anyone able to point me in the right direction of how to do this? Or give me instructions of how to do it? Or can some kind heart can do it for me ;-)

Hey there, I have just upgraded to WM6.5 and can't find the cabs for 3 anywhere.
I've tried manually setting, even tried the config utility, but unfortunately no little icon etc to connect to 3....
I came across your post and was wondering if you have the files or even better just the install cab as one file...

Help! Wizard EXT. ROM question?

Hi, I am newbie in hacking into preinstalled content of my wizard. I have installed T-Mobile Rom that has some kind of protection which does not let me to change MMS settings (it has installed settings that I can not edit nor can I delete it). I've tried downloading network configuration wizard but there is no configuration for my country... Everything other regarding this rom works fantastic and smooth...
So I menaged to make EXTENDED ROM visible, and downloaded new Arcsoft MMS composer (hoping that this will make a difference) but now I can not find cab file in ext.rom that represent mms composer, which I would like to replace with new mms composer.
Can you help me, and tell me what to delete from my extended rom? Should I delete mms composer from ext.rom or some other cab with t-mobile settings.

If you are using a G4 (or locked G3), you have no way to remove any files in ExtROM.

Thank You... I've just realized that I guess I will have to use it without mms or gprs... Anyway, it's a great phone...

Can't you do a HARD reset, then after the phone boots, Soft reset before the extended rom loads, then manually setup your MMS/GPRS?
