Do you see a difference?? Is it worth updating the ROM?
I think I saw in another site where someone said it was faster, but that was right after flashing and before installing all of his software back on.
I have it and i am not satisfied.
I got the phone monday evening. Immediately upgraded rom from T-mobile dutch to I-mate one.
In my opinion phone is slow and freezing many times.
I think am going to use my Nokia 9300 again, although it hasnt vibra and wifi.
Phone flashed to Qtek 9100, finally phone behaves normal at normal speed, not waiting 8 seconds to open start menu!

I got a Wizard with the problem freezing at the startup screen.
I downloaded and flashed it with MrClean_RUU_WIZARD_224a_AKU23_WWE.
The Wizard boots now but it became extremly slow for example it reacts
one minute only after pressing a key. The original firmware was a german one.
What to do now?!

Try hard resetting it?
I've been having the same sort of problems after I went to the 2.24, though I used xelecin's build.
It gets very laggy. Also when people call in while I'm already on a call, it won't let me answer the other one. Few other problems that are escaping me right now. I've hard reset with no luck. I may just go back to 2.17 but I'm tempted to wait for the official TMobile, though who know how long that will take.
I have followed all instructions for unlocking my Wizard by O2 and have no problems upgrading. The big problem is when the phone goes to sleep it will not come back on or the screen will be locked up. Only a soft reset will make it function again until it goes to standby. I have tried every WM6 rom and I have the same problem. I downgraded back to a Cingular rom because I use them as my carrier. No problems running any WM5 roms. I have also used the Cingular patch after upgrading and there was no difference. Still will not wake up after going into standby. If i place a test call to phone while in standby w WM6 the phone will not ring but the backlight will come on. At this point no buttuns will answer call. Must reboot. Has anyone any answers or simular issues?

You have to use either the 2.19 or the Faria 2.69 radio ROM to fix the problems you're having. Almost everyone who's used a different radion version other than those has experienced the same problems you're having.
Still Locks up
I started from the beginning downgrade/CID unlock/T-Mobile rom/radio update one at a time to 2.19 and 2.69. Still hangs on wake up or when receiving a call after 3-5 min. Works OK w/WM 5 but not with any of the WM6 upgades.
Are you using a G3 Wizard? If so, try to upgrade your IPL and SPL to newer versions (The most current is 3.08)

Well as long as I never let my phone sleep I will not have any problems. There must be somthing that WM6 is doing that WM5 does not do. Might be a registry setting. Anyone with more ideas besides going back to WM5. IPL and SPLs loaded fine when I updated them.
Do you have your phone passworded? Seems to me that I remember that people were also having problems like that when they set a password and set a sleep timeout.
As I remember, that is causing Wizard to power on itself...
Well my problem is weird. I tried installing WM6, WM5 and even the original BA_TMUK_14200_112_11300_Ship ROM in my BA and everything is fine, but when it reaches the today page, it gets hanged and i then i have to soft rest it which brings it back to the same problem. Its the same with all the 3 versions, and also with 2003SE.
I started of with WM6, then the original and then 2003SE. My mobile was working before i tried undating it but it used to hang when i used to switch on the WiFi. Its a T-Mobile MDAIII. Does anyone have any solutions or suggestions or have i burnt it up bad??!
Well my bad, it finally worked somehow but now it gets stuck when u try to switch on the Wifi. The same problem that was before i updated the rom. I guess its a hardware problem now.
Hello, i got my MDA Compact IV in the beginning of July. (germany)
I had the problem that it crashes sometimes a day. The indicator of loading the battery is still working, but no reaction. Only soft-reset solve this problem. Same problem without loading battery.
The support of t-mobile can't solve this problem and said that i will get a new one. So, very fast, two days later i got my second one and send the first one back to t-mobile. Curiously the same problem as the first one.
On both phones I had only the emailpro-software (like blackberry) installed, nothing else.
Hangs sometimes a day. A complete Hard-reset gave the same problem.
So, i began to try install cooked roms.
Now i have tried about 10 roms, but always the same problem.
Very rare, that the phone is after 4 or 5 hours still alive.
Then i installed the original HTC Rom. This is the only rom that runs now 3 days without crashing.
I googled a lot and searched in the forum, but it seems that i am the only one with this kind of problem.
Is there anyone who have same problems as me or know something about it?

Coupls of weeks back i I HardSPL my device with 3.28 and installed the RUU_Kaiser_HTC_HK_WWE_3.34.721.2_radio_sign_25.83.40.02_1.70.19.09 and since then it was working fine but today i downloaded the SKYFIRE thru WiFi and installed it though it installed correctly and after one hour my my Phone turned off automatically and when i realised that i tried to turn it on but nothing happend initially i thought that may be the battery runs out. So when i reached home and the moment i attached my phone with charger ; the orange light turned on automatically, phone vibrates and smart mobility screen appears BUT after that it start reapeating that again and again.
So after several attempts; i start reading the forum and as advised by seniors - I enter into boot loader ( successfully ) attached my phone with a PC and reflashed my phone again with RUU 3.34 and the whole flashing process completed successfully and when " Finish " button appears on my Laptop and the moment i clicked on it the Phone Vibrates ( like restarting ) smart mobility appears and thats it.... same problem....
And the moment i unplug my device from charger it even refuse to turn it on even. Presently i am using an extended battery of 2800 mah which i purchased it from UK last december but Currently i am in Canada and using Fido connection.
So now would any body tells me that its a
Battery Problem or
Hardware problem or
Software problem
Please help me out since i am out of home with a limited budget and don't want to spend on a new phone in foreign land ( canada ) and BY-GOD Canada is way too expensive - in Canada they even charge it for incoming calls and messages as well :-((( .... i was always under the impression that UK is expensive but now i realised that i was wrong...

Try flashing with a different ROM, probably a stock/shipped one..

In a word Yes. but if you have trouble connecting to the pc (as I did) flash a ROM using the SD card
Thanks to all the replies and i think its a battery problem.... now i have to buy a battery in Canada at double the amount which is easily available in UK at only 8 pounds... and in Canada its available not less than 30 CAD $...
Does anybody from Canada know a place from where i can buy a tytn-ii battery at reasonable price... specially in toronto since i am a tourist i prefer a shop a address...

I have the same sort of problem as you...
I unlocked my phone via one of the methods on here, which was performed successfully, even managed to update my HardSPL, however since unlocking, my phone reboots, or shuts off.
It started happening when a text message was received on the ROM i was using, however since then I've flashed the same Rom as you, the HTC standard from from Zel's FAQ, along with now reflashing the Orange UK Stock rom (as per Sig) onto my phone.
The phone got as far as formatting the storage, then went to allow me to setup, and rebooted, allowed me to start the setup for the phone, then rebooted.
However, something has happened which I've never seen before.
Once it rebooted, the phone booted into Flight Only Mode, then has told me that my battery needs replacing (so am bidding on one from the illustrious Ebay).
Any ideas what could've happened? Would the original unlocking cause the phone to F*** up? Even though the whole process worked with no flaws / switching off etc at all?
Max, I'm in the UK, and if need be, i'll happily find one on ebay also and ship to you from here?
