QTEK 9090 - Help plz

Hello. First of all thanks for this great forum.
Second, i got a QTEK 9090 (not the best but welll...) and I was trying to unlock the SIM. I went to:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=240784 and download the two versions of the unlocker:
xdadev_all_unlock-v1.5.exe
xdadev_all_unlock-v1.6_138.exe
I did this, just like it says in the thread:
copy it to your phone, and run it.
some diagnostic output will be in the file \xdadev_all_unlock.log
After a few minutes it says Phone successfully unlocked and then I restart the QTek. I have done this with both, the sim inside and without the sim.
The log is the following:
dadev_all_unlock started
device=PH20B
key found
ril ioctl 0xc2: 00000000

After I restart it SOMETIMES it says its looking for the network and others it just says out of service. When it tries to look for the network it just stays there... I mean its like an infinitive loop. It never finds out a network.
The info about the QTEK is:
PH20B 0 B ESN N TELCE301 1.40.03 0 3 1.40.178 1.12.00 12.00
So I thought that maybe the ROm version or radio may affect and looked up for xda2unlock but it says its only for 1.05.12 soo I'd better to ask here.
I know that maybe all of you have just got this working, so I'd like to ask for help.
Thanks if you can help me. Any info that you guys need, just ask it and I will try to get it.
Thanks a lot.
Oh and my last question is that as I see this Pocket uses 802.11b as wireless protocol, is there any way(a hack or something) to use it with a 802.11g wireless router?
Thanks.
Any ideas...?

Definitely sounds like hardware. Where did you get your G1?
Someone did respond to you in a very constructive manner ???? please read the rules ..Q&A is there so therads like these don't get started here !!!!
in normal Polish operator "Era" , the phone was brand new.
if it be necessary i have a guarantee
Q&A are watching 30 people
Development over 300 it's beter chance to get answer
I recently had the same issue an posted my problem here on XDA and got the same answer. "Its probably the hardware" After flashing every rom I could think of even rc29 I decided to take my chances with returning it for a warranty exchange through my provider (T-mobile). I just called them up and acted completely dumb about it. Told them my problem and followed whatever they said they wanted me to do. After 3 calls back to them, they sent me a replacement free of charge. Just don't mention anything about flashing or root etc. Each G1 in under a 1 year warranty from the time of purchase. You should be fine
I had this problem with my phone having wiped it and pushed wpa_supplicant.conf to my phone.
Turns out the permissions of the file were incorrect which stopped the wifi from working.
chmod 777 /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf
fixed it temporarily, but needed to be done again after a reboot. I then tried chown system.wifi /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf
but by the time I rebooted I also had upgraded to the newest
CyanogenMod (4.1.11.1)
So maybe that fixed it instead...
I don't have wpa_suplicant.conf in /data/misc/wifi but i moved it from /system/etc/wifi/
Change permission to but wifi still don't work...on mondey i go to network provider about warianty.,but it's strange...how wifi broken?is fault of software or normal electronic bad manufacter part...
Network error,answer posted 2 times...sry

So you knowingly BROKE THE RULES OF THE FORUM?
You know that will get you banned, then you will get ZERO answers, right?
both threads have been merged
next time stick to the rules
problem solved
To bring wifi to work service use somthing like this:
"Rigid-Flex Board ASSY,Daughterboard,Dream" 51H10069-00M
There was no other way...using software...i was hardware problem, but I don't know why that happend...phone newer fall,or nothing similiar.
Mod can close topic, there will not be any more update.
I 've got the same problem with my G1.....
"Error" or "Unable to start Wifi".
It's hardware issue...
I tried to put my G1 at the freeze for about 2-3 hours.
After this, wifi worked for about 20 minutes...
I think Wifi chip on daughter board is burned and it's working only if it's cold...
(...when I mean cold, I mean an icy G1 )
The only solution is daughter's board replacement......
(...or apply some thermal grease on the chip ???????)
What do you think.....???????

So...someone can explain me what processes are safe to be killed and how to force kill and block reloading of default android processes? For example, i don't neeed Google Chat, but using Advanced Task Manager i can see it reloads after a couple of seconds when i force kill.
THANKS ALL!
I'm still on a hunt to find how to successfully do this .. I'm using Complete Eclair 1.2 and I see that "voice search" keeps coming back every 30-45 secs ... my memory goes from 59 to 41 over a couple of minutes.
Wtf happened to my post?
Those aren't whats slowing your phone down. I promise. I know I posted somewhere about task killers and all that... bah... to sum it up quickly:
stopping those apps won't speed your phone up. nor will task killers. they seem like they do. i used to be die-hard with them, but i took about 4 days not using one and my phone is just the same. however, one is good to always have around. browser never likes to close, and seems to slow the phone down a tad bit. or if i want the music to stop right meow and don't feel like opening music app and pressing pause or opening up pandora and stopping it i just use a task killer. but i can assure you that it's not going to make that much of a difference with speed.
however, in the case i'm wrong, please feel free to let me know so i can do this myself. i'm a speed demon when it comes to roms.

Output from the mount command.

I need the output from the mount command. This can be done via adb, SSHDroid, or Android Terminal Emulator.

Awesome, there are some good hints toward root in there.
Can you give the output commands below?
ls -a -l /data
ls -a -l /data/tmp
ls -a -l /dev/pts
For ls -a -l /data, it gives 'opendir failed, Permission denied'. ls -a -l /data/tmp gives the following:

Here's output from busybox ps there's a bit more info about some processes.
On a side note dosu won't work for us, it looks for /lib/ld-linux.so.3 which is why it receives not found when running. Must be there in the Atrix
If you need any other confirmations I would like to help

Just noticed this in data/tmp
-r-xr-Srwx 1 1000 1000 14 Aug 8 17:01 webtop_overlay
It contains:
1,0,0,0,0,0,0
Its odd because there is no webtop. I thought it was created on reset, but the last was 20 min after.

This is from MIUICamera I found it somewhere here on xda, it only writes the first time it esecutes after a reboot and the permissions are different every time . HOW DOES IT HAVE SYSTEM ACCESS?
I'm going to see if I can find the source.
I've seen that too, and plugged it into the atrix dock (using extension cables) and it DOES work...surprisingly.
What works? Does it just mirror or are you actually running webtop?
It's actually webtop, that pseudo-gnome interface.
LOL.. how well does it run on the 512MB? The webtop devices were supposed to have 1GB for the added webtop functionality.
Is the pulse audio race exploit possible then?
Sent from my DROID3 using XDA App
Runs and usable are DIFFERENT things entirely. If webtop lags as bad as it does on 1GB, just imagine. :/
AFAIK, the D3 only has ALSA mods loaded, not positive about pulse. Something to look into though. Going through DMESG, I didn't see any references.

Though I did see it before.

Plug in HDMI and it comes back.
Well MIUI does not give out their source there's actually a thread dedicated to the legality of it. The apk is signed with Android SignAPK from what I can see that's what Google uses. So either they hacked the signature or it is an open signature? I don't know how the apk signing works.
What does anyone think is this worth looking into.Is this a possible exploit? It's kind of odd that a 3rd party app can have system access.
pplude you gotta start poking around in there theirs probably something worthwhile especially since it's not a full webtop.
edgan sorry about hijacking this thread, it's for a good cause
This is where I got the apk forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15307536&postcount=167 it's the fixed2, and it's a pretty good camera app.
[edit] So maybe it's not this app. The graphics drivers maybe, if hdmi also produces it.

Random reboot

Every day I get at least one or two random reboots... Anyone know the issue or have it too?

Experienced the same issue 2 weeks ago twice:
first time after clearing RAM with NQ Android Booster (all my apps collected in folders got "unfoldered" and some icons were suddenly missing (phone-icon, TXT-msg-Icon etc.)
After uninstalling NQ Android booster I got it a second time while adjusting camera settings during a photo-session.
Uninstalled "junk cleaner" too, since then no reboot any more.
Seems that SOME functions of Z1 get killed by optimizing apps and might cause a reboot. Check if You have apps like junk cleaner, RAM-cleaner or whatsoever installed ........
I had similar problems. Phone rebooted without me having even touched it. Noticed it when sitting in a passive car holder since it´s in my field of view.
I reflashed the phone with the latest firmware using the pc companion software from the sony mobile web page. Have not had any reboots since.
I got one random reboot per day after the new firmware update. I don't know if it was the same with the old firmware cause I used it just few hours. I don't have any app that optimize the system.
Sorry to bring this up again. But I somehow managed to collect the log from the kernel panic causing my Z1 random reboot (same every time).
I have a C6903. I have been suffering from random reboots since upgraded to firmware 14.1.G.2.257. Software ID: 1276-7842 R9A. Did the usual such as factory reset, PCC repair etc. but still happened.

So it was a software failure?

Think it is. When I was using 1.534, I didn't even see a single random reboot. I have now just reverted back to that older firmware to see if it will last a week without reboot.
I recall seeing Google claimed to have fixed Nexus 10 random reboot issue with the release of 4.3 (btw, N10 was having similar kernel panic with GPU code a while back) - not sure if that's really fixed. Hopefully Sony is aware of this rather than denying it and give us a fix some time in the future.
I have mentioned in another thread that you can actually accelerate the occurrence of random reboot by turning on 'Force GPU Rendering' in 'Developer Options'. That will force all 2D apps to render with GPU -> which will make it crashes a lot sooner. Not ticking that option won't make the problem go away, just delaying it from happening unless you don't use your GPU at all.

I see, me phone reboot after 3 days. Sometimes one day it reboot twice.
It does not reboot while I'm using the phone. It happen when I leave the phone alone in my desk or in my pocket.
I hope 4.3 will fix this problem, with 4.2.2 build 534 I've heard that It may cause Sleep of Death so I don't reverse back.
Same problem, I need solution

I am having the same problem with my Xperia Z1, I have tried too many things and read a lot of threads to solve this issue but no one solution or trick works on this issue.......... Help me..
I have the same problem - the phone restarts. But I can stop the restarts by:
1) Turn of Bluetooth. When Bluetooth is on, it restarts 1-2 times a day. When using bluetooth for external devices it restarts more often.
2) Turn off wi-fi. And just using 3G/4G/LTE. When entering a 'known' wi-fi (home or Work) it surely restarts every time.
It's not a solution, but hopefully it's solved in 4.3 and 4.4. I have tried to reset phone, new simcard etc.
