After 10 hours trying and trying, I still cannot do it.
Can anyone help me change the french ROM of my qtek 9090 into enlgish.
I need simple, step by step instructions.
All what I read in this forum what not clear enough.

I did a couple of times. its still not running the message I get is:
MaupgradeUT_noID.exe-Unable to Locate Component

What do you mean by room?? I think you meant Read Only Memory (ROM) if this is the case, I am sorry I have never heard of ROM 0.99
I always thought the initial Himlaya rom was 1.03.00
FFS! I don't know what makes it more obvious, the title of his post, or the fact he's holding up a photo of an XDA3 - but clearly he's asking if anyone is interested in him uploading the rom from his XDA3.

Sorry, But if I recall correctly in the inituial post there was no picture and (plz correct me if i am wrong!) MDAII was stated.
The post is clear now. PLZ Upload it!! Especially if it is the WWE (english) rom!!!
Please try to upload it so we can try if this ROM is going to work with XDA2, I heard that this ROM is the second edition of win2003.
I have the WWE 2003 ROM but am not going to upload it until someone helps me. I think it is only fair, I am new here but so what I will share something if someone can help me, I have already copied my german ROM off the MDA 3 and posted here on the forum, 17 people downloaded it and noone made a big effort to try and help my situation. I would gladly post the WWE MDA 3 ROM if someone could be of some assistance. Thanks

I'm not sure, but maybe the MDA 3 needs a GER designation in the ROM (even if it is a WWE ROM) - but to change it we need to know the ROM's password.... I renamed the nb1 file to an nbf file so WM2003 ROM Editor could see it, and it opened it and asked for a password...
We need someone on the inside or knowledge about how the passwords are calculated...
The password can be found with a hex-editor, as layed out in post

I have the MDA III, and am trying to get it into English, but have NO IDEA how the process works. I have downloaded the ROM files (NB1 and NBF), but can;t seem to make it work on Bootloader.
If ANYONE has any information, or has successfully changed over their MDA III, please call me as soon as possible. I would return the favor, however possible, including getting you an MDA II at about the sickest price around, or a gift certificate, I have no idea, but I really need this help.

Has anyone had any success using XDAtools to place the ROM image on an SD card , then get it to flash? So far there has been no problem getting the image onto the card....just getting the device to flash from there is the hangup.........

I've just received a Qtek 9090 as a gift from my brother who lives in Paris. The problem is that both the user guide and the unit itself is in French. I've been searching for two days now trying to find a way to convert it to English and this site is about as close as I come to a solution.
I'm a complete newbie to this process and to be honest have had trouble understanding some of the posts; ROMS, Cook, etc.
My question is: "Is there a step by step guide for newbies that would tell me the files I need and the process for converting the unit"?
If not is there someome out there that could give me some help?
I would really appreciate it.

The downgrade pack doesn't work with my i-mate pda2k and I don't Know how to do! I had an italian version and now my pocket pc is in english. Can you help me! Oh, and if your camera doesn't work, you have done something wrong. Because with an upgrade done right the camera works.

I recently bought myself a K-Jam with norweigan language. I would like to have english language on mine, since most of the applications I'm using is in english, bu I'm having a problem installing a WWE ROM.
It doesn¨t matter witch ROM I try..I always get the error message:
ERROR [294] : INVALID VENDER ID
...from the RUU.
Kan anyone help me get around this please, means alot. I'm stuck!

Hi to all,
I just met with my qtek 9100, its a present from a dutch friend of mine. But unfortunately I am not dutch nor speak the language. So I want to change the language to English.
I read few topics here and dowloaded 2 different rom for qtek. When I try to upload the rom with
RUU_Prodigy_2170702_21707102_20710_QTEK_WWE_Ship.exe,
the program says;
"invalid vender id"
I read the rom update utility readme file and the explanation for this error was that the update utility is wrong type. So I downloaded older version rom update utility,
Qtek_9100_RUU_Prodigy_10107105_Qtek_WWE_ship.exe,
and the same problem came up again.
So, if any of you that know how to change the language of qtek 9100, will you please spend few time to help me and prepare a "how to do" for me, step by step?

I read from the user Casablanca's posts that i could use the "lokiwiz" program. Where can i aquire this program and is there step by step directions on how to install it on my QTEK? Any and all assistance is appreciated.

Just search the forum and you be able to find the lokwiz, that's a program used to CID unlock the phone (only G3 models).
How to know if you have a G3 or G4?
G4 ipl/spl ends with .0001
