ais gprs settings thailand

Hello I'm currently in bangkok and I got an AIS sim card on my htc diamond but I'm not able to connect to internet. I used the automatic took for the settings and I get the an error that say the gprs connection fails.
Anyone that could help?
Thanks a lot
Lello
you might have better chance go to AIS and ask them to config it for you. Also try www.pdamobiz.com, at that site, there are a lot of AIS users and many should be able to help you.
Hi again,
i call the customer service and they send me this configuration sms
Settings>Connections>Advanced>Select Networks>News>enter IPS name: AIS PROXY SETTINGS >Modem>New> name for connection: AIS-PROXY then select modem:Cellular Line(GPRS)>APN name:wap >Finish> check at Proxy Settings> Advanced> Http 203.170.229.34:8080 wap 203.170.229.34:9201>ok
but it didnt work.
I would like to go to the AIS shop but i have no idea where i can find one.
Also do you think i can post on www.pdamobiz.com in english? I don't speak thai
Thanks again.
You can check the AIS nearest shop here http://www2.ais.co.th/Default.aspx?control=aisservicecenter
Solved it
Short story is: automatic setting works ok, yesterday i went to the AIS shop and the guy figured out that the problem was with their settings and after 10 minutes i just resetted my diamond and it worked
Thanks a lot for the advices
Lello, glad it worked out for you (I didn't relized you are farang, sorry).
yup, you can ask there in English, just state that you cannot read/write Thai, otherwise you'll get answer in Thai . There are few of us who are "English OK" and will try to answer you. don't expect a lot of reply thought.
Asking here for Thai specific q also work, as some of us also read here, but again, don't expect lots of reply cuz we are not good in English (some might open dictionary while reading posts)... as you can see in # of post and date join for me. LOL

[Q] Hey guys, who can give me a little help? thanks

Hello, my dear talent xda delevelpers,
I bought a T-mobile HD7 online few days ago, and i am using it in China now, the operator is China Mobile. I face some troubles these days, and i am searching the whole world but i can't get the answers, please help out.
1. How to identify HD7 is unlock or not? Then i know if i need to unlock it.
2. I could not get any date service (Wifi is not available for me), i am sure i input the correct APN but no data service in HTC HUB/marketplace/Emails, ect. Data connection of the same SIM card works on my old phone O2 Xdalli perfectly, but not on HD7. Is it because of not unlock or how can i get advance settings?
3. I heard that there is "CONNECTION SETUP" on other HD7s, but i cann't find it in marketplace or HTC webside, can somebody send me this app? maybe i can solve the data connection problem with it. Also, i want an "ATTENTIVE PHONE" app, please send me as well if you have.
4. My last question is, i got a T-mobile SIM card in the box, is it come along with any balance or package? Can I use it in China by roaming?
Waiting anxiously and really appreciate your help. Thank you so much.
1.Try putting your local sim-card ,if there is no network then yours is locked.
2.For data connection , I got HTC Connection Setup.
You can download it from Marketplace.(its under HTC apps)
Since you dont have Wi-fi I recommand you do this setup at your friends,Or at some internet center.
3.Sorry I dont think its currently possible to send over apps. You have to get it from Marketplace yourself.
4.As for the last question , hy dont you try using the T-Mo card and see what happens

1. Yes i am using my local SIM and got good reception, calls and SMS works fine, is that mean i got HD7 unlock? How to identify lock or unlock?
2. Still i could not find connection setup from marketplace app. Under genres, there is "tools", and i rolled so many pages but i cant not find. I searched also, there is only an app named "student connection", do you have an address? or tell me how to find it?
3. I successfully make it prison break, haha
I will try my T mobile SIM later, and see what happens :)

RUU_Schubert_hTC_Asia_SEA_WWE_1.57.728.02_Radio_5.52.09.16_22.33a.50.10_Signed
And there is "connection setup", hahaaaaaaaa, i got the GPRS data connection.

Did you flash the newest ROM and are you a tmo custy or an at&t custy? BTW... if you read through the entire 3.2 post you'd have found the solution to your problems was setting the APN under Wireless and Networks.

Did that get fixed? I heard people were still having apn issues even after manually setting them. Guess I'm off to wade through that thread!
I am with T-Mobile and I did this last night using the 3.2 post nothing more and the phone was already root with the 2.2.2 upate.
I looked over the APN post but doesnt really explain lot or give details. I know T-Mobile has 3 APN's that they use so maybe I should call them and get the information for all 3 ? I am assuming one is for MMS and the other two are phone/Data ?
Can you text with this device? I have never been able to... Not without some kind of program like Gvoice or something.

[Q] Cannot send SMS and use a mobile internet... Can anyone help, please..?

Hello Streak masters,
please, I´ve got a question. I am at Maldives at the moment, for next year and something. I bought DS7 for very good price, everything is working great, it´s exactly what I wanted. But... DS was locked to T-Mobile (probably USA), but I asked Dell for sending me the unlock code, no problem, I´ve unlocked it.
And now is the problem. I cannot use the mobile internet & SMS with local SIM. Have installed 514 ROM, firstly for EU 3G, but there was a problem with modem installation, so then I realized I probably have the US 4G version (didn´t knew which one I have). It was OK, modem was installed, I am sucesfully logged into the local provider´s network, so the "cell unit" is working for sure. But I cannot send or receive SMS and what´s worse for me, cannot use the mobile internet, even if APN and all that stuff is well inputed and saved...
Does, please, anyone has any idea how to fix it? If it is even fixable at all...? Have to say that I am not newb in Android, but this is something I cannot solve by myself.. I would be really glad if anyone helps..
Thanks guys.
My first suggestion would be to flash back to Froyo and get it working and then upgrade from there
Hello,
thanks for your reply. I have tried to flash back to Froyo as recommended, but it´s still the same problem.. I am logged into the local network, GSM is working (to be accurate - only the loging into the network, SMS is still the same..), but mobile data not.. Even if I had everything turned on, the APN and all like this is OK (including screenshots), no... No way, it´s not working... Are there some any other ideas, please....?
Thanks a lot!
Guys....
Kill me, kill me right now, please... For four days I am solving this, reinstalling everything like an idiot and now I realized.... The damn Maldivians pre-paid cards has to be activated by making some call!! The SIM was not active all the time I was flashing, downloading, googling and all these things and it was simply not active... Because now I thought it´s very, very weird so I tried to put the SIM into my phone and it was not working either... Tried to make some call and it told me "this is your first call in our network.. your SIM has to be activated by calling to number bla bla bla..".. I made it... Everything´s working great now!!
The only thing I am really missing is the troll face on the SIM...
Anyway thanks a lot for interest, I am going to flash to the Honeycomb again.. For the last time!!
And apologize to moderators for pointless topic...

[Q][SOLVED] Wifi not working on Z1s?

I've tried contacting sony and someone that I could hardly understand said he couldn't help. I then said I would just like to return the phone and thanks for your help. His response : "Well that's your problem. Goodbye"
After that nice experience, I thought I would ask here.
I can connect to a wifi network, but I can't actually access the internet. This happens on every wifi network I've tried. Data works fine, and wifi will connect to any network, but I can't go anywhere.
Any ideas?
EDIT: Solved. It was a hardware problem according to tmobile.

have u tried repair ur phone by PCC?
or simply restart it.
or check proxy setting if something set wrongly.
when u connect to wifi it means hardware is OK then while u cannot send / receive data it should be software problem.

Thanks for responding. I forgot to mark this question as solved. I just got it replaced at the store...they thought it was a hardware problem and I didn't want to deal with all that.
