Getting to your Extended ROM
Hello Rise,
Here are instructions on how to gain access to your Extended ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=33638&highlight=extrom
However, the instructions are fairly simple:
* Download the Unlocking CAB file from here: http://buzzdev.net/index.php?option=com_simpleboard&Itemid=59&func=view&catid=40&id=7869#7869
* Copy the Unlocking CAB file to your device.
* Run the CAB file on your device.
* Soft Reset your device.
* Use GS Finder+ to see the \Extended_ROM\ directory. You can download GS Finder+ from: http://page.freett.com/todamitsu/GSFinderE.htm
OR
* Use Total Commander and enter the directory \Extended_ROM\ into the directory edit box at the top of the application, immediately below the title bar. You can download Total Commander from: http://www.ghisler.com/ce.htm
I hope this information helps. By the way, you could find out all this information by simply searching through the forum postings.
Good luck!

Once the extended ROM is unlocked, you can use any old file viewer to see it. In this case, I'm using the file explorer supplied with WM5:

This is the new Provision.zip file.
Copy it to \windows folder.
Soft Reset the device.
Then you can go to
Start->Settings->Connections->connection setup.
And use the new settings.

Enjoy,
Nadavi.
Will give it a try. Hopefully they changed Belgique into Belgium now
Hey it has rogers in canada now! but no fido (sorry to those that have)
Hey! Who's got Fido?
I know I haven't.. What you see on my posts is a default (ad?) icon cause in my profile it says Etisalat UAE but they don't have that icon!!!
what's the password to the file?
It doesn't let me replace the already existing provision.zip file in the \windows folder. It says "Cannot move provision. Access is denied."
The "Delete" and "Rename" menus for the existing files are also disabled.
use a program like resco explorer i think it also worked via activesync
I'm using firmware 1.81.707.0 that has a different program called Network Settings. This has no effect here :-(
It only know Asain and Australian operators, nothing in the UK
anyone know the zip password?
Hi, the zip file seems to be passworded unless you don't have to uncompress it, and just move it to the windows folder? Anyone can clarify this?
Sorry ....
don't need to even open the zip, just drop it in the windows folder overwrite the one there (or backup the original zip first)
Hot on the heels of my installAPK utility to let you install APKs from your Windows desktop, I now have another neat trick... which allows developers to distribute APKs as Windows EXE files instead.
What do I need?
NSIS install system - http://nsis.sourceforge.net
APK2EXE (my suite) - http://shortun.com/3q
Your APK
What does the end user need?
The end user needs their device attached to their PC, with the appropriate drivers installed (which they can grab from http://android.modaco.com/usbdrivers).
How do I use it?
Follow these steps to create your executable!
Extract APK2EXE to a new directory
Add your APK to the directory
Doubleclick APK2EXE.NSI and edit the 3 lines containing information about your application.

Right click the NSI file, and select 'Compile NSIS Script' - this will create your install EXE
Test your installer!
Done!

for those of you who is looking for a solution to change the default bluetooth path to internal storage:
1, install HC4_OBEX_INBOX which is easy to find here (not sure if this is really necessary, but i installed it anyway, and it works for me)
2, change the registry's data found under StorePath (\HKLM\Software\ObexInboxEx\) to wherever you wanted...
and there you go...sorry if i posted in the wrong forum, but i figure most guys will be looking for this when they flash the new rom
This application is in a few ROMS already
This is a great tool.
Though there is no need to change the registry path, one can just navigate to settings\connections, OBEX inbox, then change the path there as it normally defaults to the "storage card"

not in my case...do you have a screenshot?
I should not really need to prove it to you?
Which version of HC4_inbox do you use?
Get the latest one I know of here
never mind anyway, it doesn't hurt for knowing the alternative with the registry
Thanks Man...it works on 6.5.x...
After many times of Flashing new Roms I tired every time use the " Advanced Configure " tool to change the icons of some Apps .
I found all names of folders that Apps use . One step you need to do
1) Install " Windows Phone Device Manager " .
2) Past The Folders (Applications and Windows) via Explorer .
I added some programs to zip:
1) Accent Changer - to change the color of regular Apps as you wont ...
2) Advanced Configure 1.2.1.1 beta
3) Battery Percent No Do
4) Restart
ICONS-1.0.rar

Install apps over ADB
Install apks on any Android device running any Android version over ADB!
Hi all,
From a long time i was fiddling around with a problem of installing/downloading apps after installing a new ROM.
Thus i came up with an idea of a Batch File to install all of your apks from your system
to your phone in a few tips and taps. Hah! Found my solution .
How does it look?
To see some screenshots, please click below.
Tested on
The script had been tested on a couple of androinds but should work on any android device.
Downloads
Google Drive - Here is the link to Drive.
Link Below - You can also find the file below.
Installation instructions
Prerequisites
1. Platform Tools for Windows (ADB),
2. APK files,
3. Target phone connected to PC and
4. A cup of COFFEE or TEA as you like it.
Process
1. Download it from the attachments below or from the drive link above or here.
2. Copy the file to the ADB folder.
3. Execute the file.
4. You can either place your apps in "D:\Apps" folder. (Sllloooowwwww.....)
ORChange the folder location in batch file itself. (Requires some Coding Skills)
ORBatch file will ask you to change the location, if required. (Easy Installation, Pick Me!)
Troubleshooting
I don't think it's needed. But even then if you get any problem do write. I'll be happy to resolve it.
Enjoy, and also don't forget to write anything (Good, Bad or Thanks etc.)!
