thanks...but no one solved ther problem!!
news??
There are various registry settings which I've tried changing:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SOFTWARE
HTC
Camera
Image
SaveFolder
This looked promising, but if you enter a folder name in the "SaveFolder" setting (I tried one called "photos") it simply changes the settings so the camera now saves in \My Documents\[date]\photos!
There are also further possibilities in:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Software
IA Style
IA CameraWizard(Pocket PC)
2.70
Strings
Image Folder
The folder is set to \My Documents as a deault. It is possible to change this folder to a different one, but it appears that when you start the camera application, it resets this back to \My Documents.
Anyone have any further ideas?
Did anyone get any further with this?

Hi there, i had found out a way to change the camera save folder. here are the registry hacks. try it out.
1. First, set the camera settings to save the images to the Storage Card
2. Using a Registry Editor, go to HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\AppDefSettings\Image and change the SaveFolder string to your desired folder name. Ive change mine to - photos
3. Now when I take a snapshot, my images will be saved in \Storage Card\My Documents - photos folder
hope this will help those guys who really tired of having a lot of folders in the storage card directory.
first time attach 4 snopshot, sorry if the arrangement of the snapshot that i had taken is not in the sequence
"2. Using a Registry Editor, go to HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\AppDefSettings\Image and change the SaveFolder string to your desired folder name. Ive change mine to - photos "
sorry Don't really understand how to do the second part.
please help
Get a registry editor, such as PHM RegEdit, which allows you to modify your XDA's registry hive - this way, you can go and change configuration settings to how you like them (one of these configuration settings being the path to the folder which the camera app saves photos and videos in).
I discovered this hack myself about six months ago, but thought it was a pretty minor one so I didn't share it on here (couldn't be arsed to write out how I did it, for one thing! lazy student, hehe)... It's really not that hard, so long as you follow the instructions and don't edit the wrong thing (I bricked my XDA once by ****ing about with the registry, but it was time for a hard reset anyway).
Have you found a way of stopping the camera application from saving the photos in a subfolder, named after today's date? The camera software on the Blue Angel device allows you to do this - i.e. to specify the "save" folder exactly. I'd be very interested if anyone has managed to do this.
remove the directory "My Document" ?

Hi,
In wm5 , I try to change the default saving camera photo directory into \Storage Card\ , but it still provide me a directory \My Document\, like this-> \Storage Card\My Document\
The value of this registry will change back to \My Document\ whatever the value I modify after the exit of all program and reboot. So strange??
Which value of registry should I change? My aim is to change the directory of saving camera photo taken into like this \Storage Card\Pictures
because when I sync with pc, the windows media player will copy the files to \Storage Card\Pictures not a default \Storage Card\My Pictures\ (If I can set the sync directory, then it's great.)
Thanks a lot.
Jim
If you want photos NOT to go into the \Storage Card\My Documents\<whatever>, then you change the SaveFolder registry key to be "..\My Pictures". This will cause them to go into "Storage Card\My Pictures" instead of "Storage Card\My Documents\My Pictures".
Hi all,
I was trying to find a solution to the problem which I would like to solve but couldn't therefore decided to ask you guys.
First, I would like to automatically save camera photos in my extern memory which is done in Camera settings. However, if I want to save into a specific location within the extern memory, how do I do that? It saves photos in My Documents by default?
Second, how do I set HTC Album to automatically look in that folder rather than selecting the folder each time I start the album?
Hope there is a solution for that

I have same problem, new pictures was saved to my documents folder, not my documents\my pictures. Solution found by mistake was to open camera from start->programs->camera and take photo, after that camera saved pictures in correct location (My Pictures, can be edited with register HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\p...) even when camera was strated via touchflo3d

I tried your solution but didn't work!
However, after a research on the net, I found the followings:
In registry; change
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\Camera\AppDefSettings\Image\SaveFolder\My Pictures
to e.g.
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\Camera\AppDefSettings\Image\SaveFolder\Camera Photos
and soft reset! but still, it save images to My Documents!!!

You must change the registry for each camera function, P1 to P10
and change the following registery key:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Camera\P9]
"SaveFolder"="\\Intern geheugen\\My Documents\\Mijn video's"
The SaveFolder is a String Value and you have to type it like: \External memory\My Documents\My pictures
So without the 2 backslashes !!!!

Hello for all
I´m a newbie with Diamond and have one small question. Is it possible to change the default folder for storing camera pictures? In options are only two posibilities (to phone memory or Internal Storage). I want save photos to a custom folder (for example like a "\Internal Storage\My Documents\Photoshots") but if I manualy edit the registry values (change "\DCIM\" to custom path) and make a photo, they still save to Internal Storage\My Document.
So can anybody help me with this?
Give Advanced Config v3.3 a spin.
Like most people, I store pics and vids to my storage card, yet when I open "pictures and videos" the first folder the program opens is in the main memory. I have to take out my stylus and make several presses before I can access the storage folder on the card where I actually keep my pics and vids. Why doesn't "Pictures and Videos" remember the last folder I visited? Why is the default set to the phone instead of the card? Why doesn't it give you an option to change the default settings? I've searched and searched for a thread on this topic with no results.
Have you tried S2V? I think it's a much better application for viewing pictures. It remembers your last location. Here is the link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=358187
Change this key in the registry: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Pictures\LocalPath
to: \Storage Card
dwizzy130
I used Total Commander to change the key but it changes back
Each time I run "Pictures and Videos", it changes back to the default.
I like S2V. Is there a similair app for vids?
Thanks.

I like TCPMP

I use Schap's Advanced Config and Change the Default Picture Location to my Storage Card. Works wonders.
Well that was before I started using Manilla and Camera Album.
Hello, I have got a question. When I receive photos via BT I can, without any problems find them in file explorer. But how can I move them in such a way, to be able to see them in photo gallery in Touchflow?
Regards, fck.
move to Internal Storage/My Documents/My Pictures
Obvious really isn't it?!?!
Obvious as hell. The point is, in my case it's not working.
Regards, fck.
May I ask which ROM do you use? as this can be ROM dependent
May I suggest a couple of programs that may help
1) HTC4_Inbox A program that saves BT transferred files to storage card Start -> Settings -> Connections -> OBEX Inbox to choose where u want to recieve files.
2) Advance Config 3.3 a useful tool that allows you to specify the mapping of folders like;
My Documents
My Videos
Etc
I am using the Aztor x2 Ultimate. I am familiar to Advanced config application, I am using it for battery saving features. The problem is, why no photos are beeing displayed in the photo album although they are in correct location.
Hi,
All i'm doing is copying images to my \\internal storage\my documents\my pictures and they always appear right away in Tf3d.
What is the path you have for your images?
