flash German MDIII with Dutch MDAIII rom possible?

hello,
Is it possible to flash the german rom with the dutch one of t-mobile MDAIII?
Will it become locked again? since the dutch ones are locked...
If it's possible, will someone please dump the dutch rom?

UI Schell Language switch

I have Dutch MDA Vario, so to my mind it would be nice to switch the OS language to WWE. One of the possibe ways to do so is to update firmware with WWE Rom.
But I think there is another one:

there you can download "Add-On language packs for WM2005" (*dll.0409.mui files).
Simply copy these files to \Windows directory and change the language related setting in registry and soft-restart the device.
At least it works on my phone.
P.S.: But I think some files are missing cause several subjects in menus are still in Dutch

French OS to English OS
Hi Alex,
I have an Orange French OS and would love to change it to English. Unfortunately on that link they dont seem to have the French files yet.
Regarding Flashing, could you point me to a thread which explains how to do it? I've looked at a few and someone mentioned that the default English OS is actually in my ROM already?

Guys you can install a QTek or IMate rom.
Those are WWE (world wide English)
So did I!

This method does not require flashing!!!

How can I install it without flashing? Also, as I use Orange and their GPRS network for net access, do you think I will still be able to connect with a differen version of WME?

TMobile MDA Language Change

Hi All...
Plz I just got a Tmobile MDA... With German Language
I would like 2 change it 2 English.. Anyhelp will be appreciated...
Here's Some Info on it...
Model Nr: WIZA200
Plattform: PocketPC
ROM Ver: 1.6.2.1 GER
ROM Datum: 11/14/05

Search the forum for CID unlocking with lokiwiz02b.
You must:
1) CID Unlock the device.
2) Download an English ROM.
3) Flash it.
This will wipe all user data on the Wizard so be sure to back it up first!

I have downloaded a rom from
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Wizard/Roms/Tmobile/RUU_Prodigy_1081002_108_10910_TMO_US.exe
for my Tmobile MDA... I just hope itz the right one... But do i have to back up the rom on my fone first.. Do i have to get an miniSD for the operation??
Any advice will be appreciated...

I have a DUTCH MDA VARIO and I need it in english.

I had Dutch MDA myself. You have to flash English ROM if you want English user interface.

I have a german version and want to change to english, but didn't let me do that on my VPA compact II

rom upgrading - what rom to choose?

I bought on ebay a T-Mobile MDA Vario from Germany.
But the rom installed is 1.3.9.2 ITA i think from i-mate.
I am thinking to upgrade that rom but i don't know what rom to install.
I would like to install an italian version but i don't know if german or english version are better.
Any suggestions?

Hi guys anybody knows how to change language on this device?
I can't win anyhow.
I have downloaded the HTC_P4350_WWE_4.17.405.2_4.1.13.44_02.94.90_Ship, and it's say INVALID VENDOR ID.
As i ain't got a clue about pda's so i am kind a stucked with this phone because i don't know any german.
Please help me to solve my nightmare.

than you'll need to upgrade your herald with an other rom. in the subforum "rom development" you will find a lot of beautifull roms and a tutuorial, how to flash it
the new roms are much better than the original roms. they are faster than the old roms. look here.

SUre I did, there is a german rom, but it is not from Vodafone, I need one for vodafone germany, version 4 or greater.
