I have an original T-Mobile ROM but want to have the original DialerSkin from a Qtek ROM. Therefor I need the following files from a Qtek ROM. Can someone put these files here or send me these files? You will find these files in the windows folder. If it is too complicated to get those files one by one you can also take all bmp files from the windows directory instead.
Thanks

Hi, I have two problem with upgrade. I try to change rom to qtek 9100 1.6.7. Firstly, when I launch aWizard, use command "e", next "u" and then "w" and there are no available roms, despite I moved the rom into ROM folder:
Next problem I got with External ROM. When I try copy unziped files to /External_ROM/ there is a pop up that they can not be overwritten. I removed all previous files from that folder. Please help me how to upgrade....
I think I remember from other threads that awizard doesn't like spaces in directory names. (Use the search function in the forum to find out or) try putting it in c:\awizard or something.
In some roms (i think 1.6.x and up) the extended rom is protected. This has also been discussed a lot in the forums.
Thank You bredita! It works when I moved it to C:\ I'm trying to find how to unlock extended_rom but I can't. I would apreciate if sb helped me...
I am trying to unzip files from Qtek_9100_1_6_7_ENG_Extended_ROM2.zip to /Extended_ROM/ or /Extended_ROM/ and I can not. Before that I had deleted all files from those folders (I hope) but I can not overwrite new files. When I install extended ROM unlocker, then some strange files are copying to /Extended_ROM2/ and I still can not copy new ROM there. Now I got empty both Extended_ROM folders and I do not know what to do....
I've extracted the nk.nbf file from O2's upgrade Rom, and have then extracted the following files:
80040000-OS_0.nb
9b000000-Extension.nb
96000000-GSM_0.nb
91000000-SPL_1.nb
etc...
Now i know that the cab files i want exist within the 9b000000-Extension.nb file (as i am guessing that this is the Extended Rom). But i can't figure out how to extract the cab files (or all the files) from within in it.
I've searched around, and it's helped me get this far, but i can't seem to figure out how to get past this point. Can anyone tell me how to do this on my PC.
Many thanks.
I know someone in here can give me a quick answer to this one. All i want to do is get some cab files out of an O2 extended rom file on my computer (i can't use the extended rom unlocker on my pocket pc because i am currently using the crossbow OS, which doesn't include the O2 extended rom).
Thanks for any help.
If you are using orwell's wm6 your extended rom is probably still on your phone unless you wiped it off.
look for a software called winimage & load the extrom.nb file then u will see the contents.
I have a question when it comes to using the "htc rom tool" to put together the .nb files into the .nbh file for flashing.
When I extract the official WM6 ATT ROM it get more .nb files than the tool asks for when you select the Treo 750 to build a ROM for. Files such as Ext_ROM.nb, etc. How do I add thoes files in as well?
Also am I correct that the GSM.nb file is the "Radio" ROM? If so, then I should be able to select the updated Radio ROM I got from these forums and have it add that one in as well?
If there are any good guides anyone knows of thoes would be helpful as well.
Thanks.
hi all
it's already few days (and nights) that I'm looking for how to dump my french rom and I managed to dump the raw parts O 1 2 3 following all the tutorials with the tricky memory adresses but I cannot manage to rebuild it then
I extract it throught the kitchen after havin put the parts and the ruu signed in the baseRom folder but when i try to cook it with the builOS program
I indicate the ROM folder but there is always the file OS.nb missing
I have only a folder XIP with a file called boot.rgu inside the ROM folder
I had a look in the whole kovskykitchen folder, there is no OS.nb, just one called OO_SPL.nb created after extraction in the base ROM folder.
did I miss a trick ? sorry if so but I didn't find any help in the threads...
thanks guys

Have you tried copying 00_spl.nb to OS_SPL.nb and then re-building ?
sorry the file needed is called OS.nb and not OS_SPL.nb
yes I did it, rename the file 00_SPL.nb by OS.nb and put it the ROM folder,
then I indicated it into the buildOS soft package tool, it looks like it is workin fine and finish sayin work successful then I close it,
the dos window takes the relay but displays an error 'input file OS.nb.payload has no valid boot sector aborting...'
that's rude right ;°) ?

It's all in here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=446691
no, this still doesnt fix the Could not find the file 'C:\KovskyKitchen\ROM\ON.NB'
issue??
I recently upgraded my XPERIA X1 to Windows Mobile 6.5 using the W4X ROM however I'm disappointed the a majority of the ringtones have been removed.
I'm curious whether they can be extracted from a NBH image.
Now, firstly, I have no idea how to cook a ROM but I imagine the files and folders are contained within the image file somewhere.
I have a backup of the previous official R2AA rom that came pre-installed with the device however I have no idea on how to extract the NBH file.
I found an application that splits the NBH into several NB files however I have no idea how to progress further.
I imagine the 'Windows.nb' image contains the contents of the Windows folder on the device where the ringtones would be.
So, could someone point me in the right direction to find an application that will allow me to extract the folders contained within the NB file so I can access the missing ringtones and reinstall them?
Cheers,
Hyped

if you download jerpelea's kitchen (it's in one of the stickies) and put the rom in the source folder then run the command it extracts everything from it, and i suppose you could probably browse through the files that way, but i'm nt sure, just a suggestion!
or you could probably search for the ringtones on XDA, i know there are some from the rhodium somewhere!
Search this forum and you will find plenty of ringtone packages to download (removed from ROM but as addon shared by the cooks)
Thought gtrab shared it also in his cooking tutorial....
