removed o2 active in corprate mode and now the battery icon is missing.
Can some one please help me needa cab file for battery .
I had this problem when i removed o2. Theres a disk that comes with the phone normally which has a program call gprs or something like that. If ya install that it gives you a type of icon but its not as good as the old one. Iv now installed wisbar advanced now so i got all new icons now anyway so its not a problem. but that should get ya by.
run powertray.exe from the Windows folder..

I've been searching on every possible site I can find to no avail. help. So I wonder if anyones done this?
I run my Qtek 2020i with O2's firmware in Corp. mode now. But I miss the Today screen's Battery bar.
Does anyone know how to pull this though into the corp. mode? or install it from ripping file from the O2-Active side?
Any help or guides etc would be ever so useful.

I wanted just that bit too.
I spent a bit of time messing around with a Blue Angel Extended Rom and managed to find the o2Active installer CAB, Hacked it added the right DLL for the XDA2i and got it working, Unfortunately it does have the original setup DLL in there so asks for corporate or personal but it only adds the batteryinfo.dll and the today screen.
Well enough of that here it is enjoy

Thanks riptos, your a star.
Thanks from me too.
Guys have you considered this little battery meter (single bar running across the top of the screen like Spb's version)... see attachment below...or one of its many variants (inc back up battery and/ or memory status) discussed under
Not as gucci graphics wise as the O2 one I grant you (see other attachment) but it takes up a lot less real estate for the same job.
The CAB download file is at:

Thanks riptos, I've been looking for this as well even though I have the T-Mobile MDA II. I don't know if it'll work or not, my original MDA II "Today" battery meter disappeared when I updated to ROM 1.72.00 GER.
Thanks here also Riptos,
I installed it in my XDA IIs and it is working just fine.
does this cabfile work for other countries apart yours?
in malta i use vodafone as service provider{ and also gomobile.......}
if i install this cab file will it then make the battery status appear on my today screen ?
or it has nothing to do with the service provider.............
You can install it no problem, it won't effect anything else, it will just put the battery bar on your today screen.
i've installed it and did the soft reset but i cannot see the bar!
i've got the spb pocket plus, would this cause some sort of clash?
UPDATE: i've uninstalled spb pocket plus and still no indicators on screen.
O2 Battery Bar
Try deselecting from today screen items and exit to today screen, then selecting from today screen items and exit. If it isnt in the list it wasn't installed properly.
Riptos
there is no batter bar in the today screen option... first thing i looked at!
got it to work... thanks alot buddy......
Regards
Many thanks for the OS Battery Plugin

I have just recieved my third XDA IIi with the latest rom on. Going into windows\startup to remove the O2 active ui shortcut I see its gone! I have used the slider to move it but cannot remove it!! All thats listed is the following:
Camera_Detect
CheckAutoRun
Connections
elatepushservice
IA_CID_Startup
poutlook
RunBT
STK
Any clues? - I have no strong objections to the o2 ui but like to remove that icon as it clogs up the start bar...
Andy
I blive it to be the connections option to remove the o2 icon.
o2 got clever
try this setup xda 2i using corporate settings o2ui will not be installed then go to this thread http://innocentstuff.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=26463 to obtain o2 uk settings cab
It it most certainly the shortcut labelled "connections" that starts the annoying o2 icon in the toolbar.
New to all this. Just bought a XDA IIi I want to remove the O2 Active UI.
I keep seeing references to "windows/startup" but I cant find "windows/startup".
Can anyone tell me how I find windows/startup?
Is it possible to get rid of O2 Active but still keep the little battery meters?
Just found out where it is I think. I was looking for something on the screen, but realised it was a folder.
I found it using active sync and "exploring"
Do I have to remove it from activesync or from filemanager in the PDA?

1. Yes, look in these forums for the HTC stuff, think its a sticky. Just cabs you install to get the htc today theme and HTC Home etc.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=344544
2. Not going to answer that one
3. Search using google for S2u2. That is the slide to unlock app that is freeware for your device. It works well on my TyTN2.
thank u for ur super fast answer
ill start with number one and work my way down thn
where are u from ?
is urs a orange tytn II as well
Kent in the UK and yes mine is an orange provided one, although the ROM is now the HTC one and unlocked with my O2 sim in it.
right i dl the aplication but where do i put it on the phone
which app are you referring too ?? the HTC Home or the S2U2 ?
I believe both are .cab files, so you would need to setup an activesync connection onto your pc with your phone, then you can explorer your phones disk and copy it from pc onto the phone (somewhere like my documents). Once the .cab files are installed on the actual phone, using the phone goto the file explorer program, navigate to where you put the files and click on the respective one once.. it should trigger off the install of the relevant software. follow instructions on screen and then they should be installed.
HTC Home is a Today plugin which you can access from Settings/Today/Items. S2u2 is accessible to configure from the Settings (can't remember if it was personal or System tab) but you should get a s2u2 folder in one of them. you can go into that and run the app to set it up..
Its worth mentioning I find it useful to do a restart of the phone after installing apps to make sure all these links appear.
p.s if your phone borks because you isntall these I take no responsibility
cool just got the htc home to work
looks so much better than the orange one
right time to work on the next one
i have had a good look on this forum
and wanted to know how i can edit the htc home screen
i wanted to change the icons to the ipone ones
im sure there was a programme i can use for tht
also the s2u2 i have read bits on it not working very well
just wondered if its all fixed now ?
s2u2 was pretty stable on mine when I used it (removed it as it blocked my SPB time alarms I set).
to customise HTC Home you need, HTC Home Customizer. Just google and you will find it.
that is a good programme the htc customizer
any others people would suggest ?
i have been looking for tht background they have on the ipone
the fish in the water one
Hi there,
I managed to get the Aztor 1.99.999.9 AZ NLD ROM on my Vodafone branded HTC diamond, everything works even better then before..
Now I was wondering if I could remove the 2 hotlinks on home screen which are blocking my background..
The options are Calender (Agenda in dutch) and Call History (Oproepen in dutch).
Does anyone have any idea how to remove these? I tried downloading a Manila Editor but for some reason when I copy the Manila files I cannot view them in Windows XP, It does use diskspace but I can't see the Icons (no they are not hidden)
Thanks in advance
Grtz

Hi there, new user here (and i do mean new, i'm its me first PPC ever )
Got me a Diamond II last saturday and absolutely lovin it (old phone was nokia 6131). However i was wondering if there was a way to change the battery icon. A friend of mine sent one over but it didnt work, it kept the battery icon at the one with the plug (charging) even though when it wasnt.
What i'm lookin for in more detail is this.
The battery icon itself in COLOR (if possible)
Battery status in it (or above or whatever) in %
and offcourse the status updates as the battery charge depletes.
i'd rather not do registry tweaks. A simple cab file will do just fine. I know how to install those, as i've allready installed TT navigator 7 on it
Any help is greatly appreciated and if anyone knows any handy, usefull or musthave aps i'd love to see some links.
this is what you need, good luck!

Sweet, thats exactly what i wanted. Used the search before creating this topic but couldnt find anythin. Also looks like what my friend sent over, but probably didnt work cause he hadnt sent over the sdkcerts cab. Thx a lot.
I installed "Ahen 6a" battery icon, and it is beautifull and easy to install (2 CAB files). look for it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=502144
