Hi all,
I use my alpine through A2DP to listen MP3. But, windows media player will hang easily when GSM network searching.
Anybody help~~~~~
thank you so much.............
XDAIIi Media Player hang if phone isn't disconnected first
It sounds like I've got a very similar problem to the one above. If I don't disabled the phone (by going to flight mode), the Windows Media Player crashes after a fairly short timescale. I'm quite happy with Windows Media Player on the device otherwise, but get very annoyed by all the crashes! Does anyone know of a patch which resolves this problem?
Thanks!

I just noticed that when I am using XM radio that I can sleep the device and the radio keeps playing. Anyone know what controls this? I want to be able to do the same with Resco radio.
same goes with windows media player when it is on standby when streaming music- it continues playing..
i think if we could control that for regular music on the memory card, it would be a really good alternative to locking the device.. also saves power.
I get the "Device Not Ready" popup in Media Player when a call comes in and switches over to my BT headset. It is frustrating to constantly have to clear the popup and try to yet again seek to where the hell I was on a podcast when the call came in! Is there a fix for this or is it just a "feature" of WMP and/or WinMo 6.1? I am hoping someone has a magic reg setting to make WMP behave on audio transfers to and from BT.
I have MSVC working fine via my Plantronics Voyager 510 and just want my music or podcast to pause when a call comes in then switch to my BT for the call duration then resume playing via speaker after the call is done.. is this asking too much?
This happens with every ROM I've flashed.. (although I only have flashed Dutty's last 4 releases). So, I am thinking others have it happen and live with it or I am just not tweaking my tilt properly. And, yes, I do a hard reset after every flash.. and everything else works fine.
I've searched but can't find if there is a solution to this. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks..
Hmm.. since no takers.. can u tell me if it happens to u?
With no replies on my post.. can anyone just confirm that this happens to them as well? I would think at least some of the xda peeps would have the phone playing a tune or podcast between calls. Does your phone switch audio without the "Device is not ready" error?
Just trying to see if it's only me...
Thanks.
I listen to MP3s (not WMP but Pocket Player or S2P) all the time while my phone is connected to my car's bluetooth handsfree system. I have never once observed a "device not ready" error pop-up when a phone call arrives. The music pauses and the handsfree takes over and starts ringing.
Might want to look at this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2083364 as it seems that some people are seeing the same problem as you.
Rumball,
Thanks for your post. I guess it might be my bluetooth giving me the problem then. I've been needing a reason to buy a new z9.. so hopefully it will behave better since it's BT 2.0.
Thanks again for letting me know it works the way I imagined it should!
Hi all,
I have a Problem with the HTC Music player... everytime i want to hear music over my bluetooth headset, there is absolutely no sound. If I switch to WMP, its works fine.
I found nothing to configure in HTC Audiomanager - Thought it uses the System-Volume? I turned it to max, but also no sound... Switch to WMP it works fine
I'm using the latest 1.93-Rom, so I can't update to anything
Has anyone the same problem or any solution?
Many thanks
Same problem here. Same ROM. Worked nice for about a month, now I can't get the sound from speaker nor BT. WMP/Core player work and stream ok. Any info on this?
Weird thing, after deleting almost all of my music, the HTC player seems to play unexisting songs, I mean it scrolls the dot displaying remaining time etc. With no sound whatsoever.
Is there a way to restart the player so it clears the library? Or to reinstall it. Don't wanna go through hard resetting the device.
Tried soft reset and pull the battery out thing all right.
Hi,
I've just got my new HTC Diamond and I've got a problem. Whenever I play anything that's in mp3 there's only noise. The noise can't be stopped. Only soft reset works. This happens in every audio application even when I play a video with mp3 compressed audio. When I tried to play video with mpeg2 audio compression everything worked fine.
ROM is original one. Hardreset doesn't help.
I recorded the noise with mic:

Pls pls help
Thanks
what program are you using?
well I tried play it in the touch flo interface player after hardreset and in core player... then I tried conduits pocket player
but now I'm trying to play it in some other player (pocket music) and it seems working now !!!
how is that possible? WM6.1 does't have mp3 codecs ?
it does have MP3 codecs, fresh out the box it should play MP3s and WMAs either thru Media Player (which sucks) or thru the TouchFlo interface...
strange one that.
The only thing i can think of is that you have installed a program which has corrupted the codec?
no no I tried it in touchflo interface on freshly hardreseted system with no installed application...weird
very strange, might be a hardware problem then. is it intermittent?
after installing pocketmusic everything still works fine
funny... the problem's back.. grrr
i think i'll just return the phone to the shop (for the second time ! in the first case phone had display defect)
yeh, i got two dodgy ones, got my money back the second time and went elsewhere!
Hi, I recently bought a Mercedes Benz A-Class 2013 with the Audio 20 CD package. The in-car hands free works great, and I'm able to play music over Bluetooth from my phone using the standard music app on my phone (I've tried both a Sony Xperia S and my HTC One). The title, album and artist of the current song is displayed fine as well.
The problem is, I only use Spotify or Audible to listen to music or audiobooks. Never the default music app.
When I try to play music over Bluetooth using Spotify, it plays the selected track for exactly 5 seconds, before it stops, and the built-in computer tells me that the Bluetooth playback is paused. No title/album/artist information is displayed either.
Does anybody know how I can fix this? I'm up for rooting my phone if that is necessary, as long as I'm able to play music from my phone using Spotify.
In the online manual to the MB car computer, the HTC One isn't one if the supported units, but my Xperia S is. Still, neither work with Spotify over Bluetooth.
I have tried to put Spotify in both online and offline mode. Neither work.
Alternatively, does anybody know of a way I could tunnel the audio output (and song information) from Spotify and "mask" it as the default music player app? (I know this is pretty far out there and if even possible, is probably very hard to do, but I'm open to any and all suggestions.)
Any help is appreciated!

Thank you so much for your reply! I did this, and suddenly, for no reason apparent to me, it works no matter how I connect my phone to it.
To sum it up. I disconnected my phone from both the music and the telephone screen. Then I connected it to the music screen, played a song, and while playing, connected it to the phone screen. Again, somehow everything works no matter which order I connect them in now. Weird, but I'm not complaining!
