I used to use skype to make international calls but unfortunately after I upgraded my PDA2K to TuMa 1.3 ROM, whenever I speak via skype I can hear the other party but he can hear my voice as if I whisper to him .
did any body face this problem, and how to resolve it ??
Thank you in advance.
Even I faced a similar problem, hence downgraded.

Is anybody else experiencing this issue?
Strangely, I don't seem to have this problem ... Skype is working fine for me at last test (haven't used it for a while now though).
Which ROM did you downgrade to? If I have that ROM, then I can compare settings and see what the cause of the problem could be.
Same problem here.

Hey all.
I'm currently running IOLite on the the HyperDragon IV Lite ROM.
The minor problem is that the camera doesn't work. The camera app will start up just fine, but all I get is a black frame.
The serious problem I'm having is that I have no sound in calls. Calls will connect just fine, but I can't hear the person I'm calling, nor can they hear me. But I have service and I can send and receive text messages, so my radio is working okay.
Any help would be very much appreciated!

First it is your radio lol radios can cause sound issues as for the camera i would reccomend Nadavi's camera found here

A certificate error? The only problem I had was it wouldnt show a preview of a picture but i installed the 8/3/08(Aug. 3rd 2008) update
I had this issue (black frame with no visibility on the camera) as well. The trick is to install HTC Album prior to installing Navi's camera cab. Then Navi's camera app should work just fine.
Greetings!
This is my first post in this forums. They've been very useful to flash, check updates, etc and I've never had the necessity of posting anything since I've cleared mostly any doubt I've ever had about my Android devices. This time, after searching all over the forums and in several other sites over the net I haven't been able to find any solution to my problem. Let me expose it:
Few months ago after having flashed my device to different ROM's, my friends started to tell me that they couldn't hear me well during phonecalls. The sound was not clear enough. They could hear, the volume was ok, but the phonecall the sound call they would recieve was not well.
I thought that this would be related to the hardware, maybe the mic was broken, because once I was thrown into a swimmingpool and I saved my phone by putting it into a jar with rice and letting it rest for few days. However, I have used other programs such as Skype and done the test phonecall so I could hear myself and it went verywell compared to call recorder app tests or regular call, the sound was much better. So I guess that the microphone is still okay and the problem is related to a setting issue that haven't been changed with flashing to different ROMS.
I've been running several ROMS, most of them based in CM7 and I'm now back to the latest stock ROM for America (2.3.5) and the problem is the same.
Any advice will be very apprecciated!

I just cant figure how the mic works well with skype and not with phonecall and how changing de mic would fix it
Hey there,
I know it has been discussed partly, but with I think different aspects and details than I have. To cut it short: in about 50% of my phone calls, be it with good or bad reception, people cannot hear me speak on the phone.
The fun thing is, this cannot be connected to the internal microphone since I have it both on the normal mic as well as my bluetooth headset. No matter whether I call them or they call me. Sometimes (!) it helps to mute and re-enable the microphone on-screen, but this is not always effective. I thought this may be related to a bad combination of firmware and radio, but I recently switched to InsertCoin GE und updated both FW and radio, to no avail as regards to that matter. Furthermore, sometimes phonecalls just drop in the middle of a conversation, with no change in signal quality as far as I recognize.
Does this sound like some software thingy (and one might have a solution) or would you believe this is hardware related?
All the best in advance

Hey there,
of course, I picked InsertCoin GoogleEdition with the corresponding 3.06.1700.10 firmware that's offered as a complementary download for the ROM. No hands on the kernel, left the one coming with the ROM. Does that help ?

can you do a nandroid backup and try with another ROM? You could also ask in the thread of the ROM if someone got a similar problem.
I would also downgrade the firmware to the latest for HTC One (non GE). this should not be the problem but just to be sure

Yeah, I think I can. But I came from a 4.2.2 ROM with the latest radio, TrickDroid 8.0 and I had the very same problems. Does it more sound like a hardware than a software issue?

VERY LATE REPLY.. But for future events for same users of this phone, try downloading the App, Soundabout.. That have so far fixed the problem..
You change the call audio towards earpiece and voila!
I'm still looking for other workarounds... maybe some type of issue with the hardware or what not?
i think is a hardware problem related with usb flexor
I don't know if it is the app or another problem but when I make voice calls, people on the other end of the phone can here their own voice just after speaking. So when I talk back/reply they hear their own voice along with what I am saying. It has become almost impossible to talk to anyone because people just hear their own voice on top of what I am saying.
I clean installed the official stock firmware and the problem still exists.
Can you please suggest me how I can solve this problem? :crying:
@pleomaxell
To be frank , I've searched for the explanation of the settings all over the web, but couldnt find any.
Moreover, I got no such problems. All my audios and calls seem to be louder then before. I pretty much use the 'quality settings', and sometimes use the 'custom' one.
Coming to your query, have you tried uninstalling then making a call.?
Just to see if no such issue arises

I tried uninstalling Fauxsound and the problem still existed. Do you have any suggestion on how I can solve this problem?
@pleomaxell
I have absolutely no clue about this
Never.ever encountered this issue in my whole life.
Sorry buddy
If all fails, maybe you could try a factory reset. Provided you backed everything up using the titanium backup app
