Ok, I understand now. I thought I had to get a rom that corresponds to my phone model/version (Dopod CHT9100). I'm trying to get rid of this Chinese language and get a English one on since I can't understand a word of Chinese. So I can use any model rom (HTC p3600, dopod d810) on my CHT9100 without bricking it? Thats the only thing I'm worried about. Please let me know which English rom you would recommend I flash the device(Dopod CHT9100) with to get rid of the Chinese without any bricking. Thanks.

go to the page and look for the HTC WWE wm5 or wm6 with GPS if require.But first you need to cid unlock, otherwise the upgrade will not work. You can find everything you need in this post. I prefer the WM5 with GPS. good luck

Go to http://europe.htc.com and register on HTC e-Club, then just download the ROM but it's the WM5 ROM.

If any one has the shipped 1.14.405.3 WWE ROM can they please post it. I know the orange rom is the same but i dont trust orange to have left it as HTC made it. So if anyone has dumped the original ROM fromt here unlocked phone I would be most grateful

ROM version related to GPS issues?
As an effing noob here... I'm trying to track down why I cant use the aGPS built into my Touch HD... Google Maps and Windows Live Mobile both cannot use the internal GPS, even after hard-setting to COM4, 4800 baud, etc.
My ROM is 1.14.405.3 (22273) WWE... does this matter or would the Radio version be needed?
Just trying to track down why I cant use the GPS... and cant seem to find any advice anywhere. I'm using this phone in the US, bought from the UK unlocked...

Erm I flashed Laurentius26's fantastic V2 ROM then thought oops - supposing I need to return the phone I may have to have the original ROM in it

I had the same problem. Wanted to go back to stock after trying out a few cooked ones, but could not find this version anywhere.
Instead I'm now using the newest Hong Kong WWE version.

If the staff decides to go by the book, then the answer is no. However, some staff members in HTC service centre are quite liberal, or may be quite unaware of what you have.
It may be my own imagination. I feel that 1.14XX Rom is faster than 1.19xx.
Would be real nice if someone is able to upload the stock 1.14X WWE ROM.

So I have the 4 RAW files but I'm not yet sure how to properly rebuild an NBH.
I'll try today and keep you informed.

Thank god. Whatever you do, don't throw them away. I also had this ROM on my HD and forgot to make a dump of it. So when you are ready, please dump it here becuase this specific ROM can't be found anywhere.

Yes it works, but it hasn't radio rom.
I tested. It is 1.14.401.3 (22273) WWE 11/12/08 rom, CE OS 5.2.20757 (Build 20757.1.4.0).

this is a uk version and the one 1.14.401.3 is the wwe europe version

the reconstructed rom dump - will need hardspl to flash.

why do you need it, as a backup rom when hardspl comes out?
I want to extract some things from a french rom.
I have a german phone and an english rom now with success installed (thanks QMAT).
I have many registry values modified (keyboard, regional settings, ...) and have now a french windows mobile but the included software not.
I have a french unbranded TP2. I will try to dump the rom as soon as possible this week end. Tell me if you find what you want before I start .
