Wizard ftp Admin needed - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario Software Upgrading

Hi All
We need a wizard ftp admin (maybe moderator) who will move files form the uploads into the safe area.
Any sugestions of users that understand this device and have posted more than once and also know how to edit a wiki page.
PM or post
Thanks

Don't wanna advertise here, but because I am a more then regular user of Redhat Fedora I've setup a sort of "know how" place for Redhat a while ago.
Because I have a HTC Wizard since a few weeks, I extended my website into a bundled website of know how's for Redhat and my HTC Wizard.
All stuff I collected for the Wizard, like reg tweaks, (free or trial) software, how-to's will be in here, just for a quick lookup for myself, but it can be useful for others too maybe, so here you go:
http://www.molski.biz
Please keep in mind that I just added the Wizard stuff last night and for now only reg tweaks are online, today I will also put in a lot of software that works for 100% on my Wizard.
Regards,
Molski

We have a wizard ftp admin
edsub has offered to be the wizard ftp Admin.
On behalf of us all thanks edsub!

Just doing my best, including:
- Keeping the FTP together (one advice to uploaders: Plz check back once in a while if your file from the upload sections is moved into a 'safe haven'. Subsequently you might want to update your link in any posts)
- Moving posts between forums (especially when they subject other devices as the Wizard)
If anyone has any remarks / complaints / advise, plz pm me.

Web Server

I know it sounds silly but is there a web server I can install on my Qtek 2020i?
Doesn't have to be a great webserver with php/mysql/ASP etc. Just html will do.
If so who and where can I go about finding it?
MS actually distribute a webserver: The Windows CE Web Server. I've never used it, so can't vouch for its featureset/reliability, but hey, it's there.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d...us/wceinet/html/wceinetwindowscewebserver.asp for more information on that.
Ok, so besides from that, there are other options: A popular choice is CEHTTP, available from http://www001.upp.so-net.ne.jp/ishi/cehttp/ . Alternatively, PicoWebServer, available from http://www.snapfiles.com/get/pocketpc/picoweb.html looks like an excellent choice. There's also a comprehensive installation guide for PicoWebServer at http://www.wifizard.com/tutorialsXP/WebServer/ .
Now again, I've not used either of these apps extensively, I've only briefly tried PWS purely to see if it would run ok on my PDA, as the only need I have for a webserver is on my main PC where I do all my web dev work. However, PWS _should_ work just fine.
Nice one, Will give both a test. Hopefully 1 of them should fulfill my needs.
Thanks again.
Sym
No worries mate, if you have any joy with either of them then tell me which one you found the best

Pocket Microsoft Access

Hi, This is my first post but have been browsing the site for a few weeks...thanks for all your help already!
I need to know if there is a Pocket PC version of MS Access?? I jknow that there are other 3rd party applications but can't find any reference to a "Pocket MS Access" anywhere...
Can you help?
Thanks
There was but it was discontinued before WM2003. You can download sqlceserver2.0 for WM2003 from the Microsoft website but that is just the backend.
You may be able to find someone who can give you the cabs for Pocket Outlook 2002. Alternatively look at a 3rd party solution such as AbcDB or Data on the Run.
search in this forum for database.
there was somebody asking general question about database and there were some posts from with links to some good programs. I think one database was even free.

move favorites from tomtom6 to tomtom7

hey guys, i recently upgraded to tomtom7, however, i would like to also move all my favorites from tomtom6 without having to manually enter all of them. where would i find those on my memory card so i can transfer them? thanks
omar
Anyone?
This is something I've been trying to find how as its incredibly frustrating, I can't see anything in the original documentation or anything on how to do this.
Have you tried here, http://www.tomtom.com/support/support.php?ID=2&Language=4???????????????
This is XDA-Developers, not TomTom support. Geesh!

Correct, and unless I'm very mistaken many people discuss various 3rd party software applications, their merits and also tweaks/twiddles to make them work correctly on their Kaiser, etc.
Checking the software forum I see various other topics that you could apply the same logic to.
BTW; TomTom actually advise to manually re-enter the favourites between versions, which isn't a very good customer support reply in my opinion. I'm now following a path which shows the .cfg in the maps folder seems to be the key to migrating favourites over.

Whats up with the Diamond folder on the ftp??

I was trying to look what's on the Forum ftp and I noticed that I can't get to the 'Diamond' folder?
All other folders ( I haven't tried all ) I can get in to.. but not 'Diamond...
I think this would be an excellent place to upload all Games, Apps, SPL, ROM's, themes....and so on... and have it linked with the wiki!
I think the wiki isn't being used as it should... or am I wrong?
Anyone know anything about this?
I'm sorry if this shuld have been posted somewhere else, but it is about the Diamond...
hi there. you know, there is a problem with storing MS property... microsoft said, that we cannot store ROMs, radios and other MS stuff, because you just bought license to use that software, no that software itself. too bad, because now you need to search a lot for older versions of ROMs and software, and it is not on one place. There is also a petition against microsoft to allow us sharing and modification of their windows mobile. if you are intrested, sign in - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=294213
ok, that to bad
As you said, now everything is scaddered all over...
But It's still the best place for me and my Diamond!
BIG thanx to everybody!
Yeah, I've signed the petition!

data flow meter

hello to all. my problem is a tricky one: i was wondering if i could find a data register which shows the amount of internet traffic that my phone makes. I recently got a bill for over 100 euro for my internet usage and as far as i know i have done no outstanding data transfer appart from the usual mail and weather application on my htc diamond. I run the standard wm 6.1.
Many thanks in advance.
i posted elsewhere on the forum as well. if it goes against the forum rules i kindly ask an administrator to merge the two posts.
the registry is just a big settings database where apps and the os can store their settings so as a rule it's not a place where by typing in values you get new programs and or features
