Hi,
today I've started to create an iPhone-like skin for the WeatherWatcherMobile app. For now it's only the current/now screen. And it uses the HTC Touch v2 icon-set I've found somewhere in the Net. Feel free to download, to post suggestions or to modify this skin.
It's only for 240x320 QVGA screens (for now).
And sorry for this bad english.

giving us a screenshot is not a bad idea if you made a skin

I'm really sorry, but I don't know how
EDIT:
Screenshots now available!
okay, really nice graphics, and the application is not (not only) a todayplugin so it can be used for launcher applications like ifonz.
Althoug i can see that it is a older application (scrollbar on the right and ugly oldscool taps). But maybe i give it a try for my ifonz.
FOR WM6.5 ONLY!!!!
GlossBlack
by: m.carroll
A glossy version of PureBlack2 found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3651697
I haven't yet decided if it's too glossy for my likings, but hope you all enjoy.
FULLY WORKING for BOTH VGA and QVGA!!!!
Skin for Windows Mobile (Phone) 6.5, cab's fully uninstallable. Works with VGA/WVGA and QVGA/WQVGA, just download the correct resolution (without the W). Enjoy.
Changelog:
May 9, 2009 - Optical illusion trickery fixed in both versions. Please re-download!
May 8, 2009 - Added QVGA Release
May 7, 2009 - Initial VGA Release
This is superb, I've been waiting for this.... really!
Looks good. Thanks
Edit After installing this nothing happens? I soft reseted and it's still the same?
CraZyLiLbOy: You have to select the theme from Start->Settngs->Today and click ok.
do u ever plan on changin the scroller to a shaded one or perhaps the clock icon, those are the only things i wish i could change in you theme
awesome looking skin!
I am eagerly awaiting the qvga version.
Beautiful skin, which I will definitely use when you create the QVGA version.
Well done!
I haven't done much in terms of Titanium skinning, so I may change the clock and other icons in the near future, although I've been concentrating on only just the WM6.5 OS theming. The main purpose of my two skins so far have been to have a very Windows Mobile 6.5 feel to them not altering it too much, so in future themes I might do more with the scrollbar and other elements, but for now I'm just trying to do a bit without overpowering the MS feel.
I can do colored versions of this one if anyone's interested, just drop a reply with some color ideas...
I unfortunately don't have a QVGA device to test on (poor dead Wizard), and there are no Emulators available yet (will make things TONS easier), and PureBlack (my other theme) had some issues on QVGA so I need to sort them out before I port this one.
Im currently running pureBlack on my Hermes (QVGA) and I Haven't found any flaws yet
hmmm sweeetttt,
going to test it when AHEN 6d is installed in a few minutes ^^
thanks! ^^
Looks nice mate, thank you
Wow That is slickk!! I have the QVGA installed on my i910 of the flat black, but would love to try out the gloss black when it is available! Any ETA on when Gloss balck will be available for the QVGA for the i910??
I really like this. The glossy bars really stand out. Nice work man.
The much-requested, highly anticipated (W)QVGA version is now available. First post updated.
Time for some zzz's. I'm sure my body really wishes I didn't love this so much...
AWESOME !
Very nice work, that's perfect for me,
Thanx
Nice
One problem on QWVGA, the list item (as seen in the today plugin selection page) is a bit small in height. The checkboxes overflow a bit.
Thanks.
Really good theme Awesome work buddy, this actually looks good even on my QVGA screen, second after greenhtc theme. Kudos to you. Just if there was some transparency on the home screen, it would look more 6.5 stylish. But its fine even now also.

Could you take a screenshot of this and also one of the same screen with the Classic Blue theme? (CapSure is a great program for taking screenshots on your phone, or MyMobiler works with your phone connected to a computer)
krazy_about_technology: actually there is transparency on the homescreen, its just tough to see because the wallpaper is so dark. If you change to a different wallpaper, you'll see that the glossy top and bottom bars become transparent and let the background through. One of my next ideas is to see how far we can push the whole transparency thing, just about every ui element in these themes supports true per-pixel png alpha transparency, and there are a lot of possibilities.
it's amazing!!
Many thanks for the QVGA resolution!
Amazing skin, looks very nice
This will be my CHome skin for a loong loong time
Hello all,
as there are only few touch based apps for managing tasks (office tasks) in the windows mobile world i tested the few i got to know and ended up using GekoTask for now.
GekoTask does everything i want in an easy enough way. The only down side is, that the available skins do not fit my needs.
As an user of an HTC Touch HD i started to love the EnergyRom with the build in GTX Theme. And now as the GTX Theme development will be continued i closly follow their progess.
GTX Sense 2.5 Theme
To cut a long story short, i wanted my GekoTask to fit theses style so i made a Theme on my own.
I used many of the excellent graphic works from the members of GTX Team. So if anyone has a problem with my work please just pm me.
To install just put the theme in the skin folder of the GekoTask app folder. Select the skin via options and restart GekoTask.
If there are any bugs or problem please report them in this thread i will fix them as soon as possible.
Have fun!
Here are some screens of the theme and below the download link:
very nice skin, I like the background. Very artistic and neat.
I don't use geckotask, and my device is TP, which is VGA, if it were a VGA theme, I would like to use it
Nice job mate,,,
Yes, now it is reached. The GTX mania is running around. We have to warn the people outside XDA *lol
if there's more interest in a VGA version i might find the time to provide one

Hello People, sorry for the bad title i couldn't think of another.
My name is xiq and i've been on this forum since 1-2 years, because I really appreciate the tools etc. =)
I'm looking for a way to make something like a more advanced skin for my wm phone.
I have a Eten M800 with a VGA display (not very good), and a Palm Treo 750 with a square display.
Well i really think that the Treo's not really good dressed with Windows Mobile's Appearance, so i want to make a more standard skin, something very basic.
I thought about something like this:
i610.photobucket.com/albums/tt185/xrlsky/home.png
Home Screen
i610.photobucket.com/albums/tt185/xrlsky/menu.png
Menu Version A
i610.photobucket.com/albums/tt185/xrlsky/menu_alternative.png
Menu Version B
Icons © by "Zerode.com", i just used them for a quick "sketch"
---------------------------
As you can see, it's not really so mad about touch like most projects, i don't want to center on a yank-a-doodle-dandee
Maybe someone want to team up with me?
I'm a experient Designer, as you can see on photobucket,
I'm also the guy behind the XeBoy Advance skin (v0.4 upwards)
I'm just not the fittest at programming...
Does any of you guys know of an easier way to realize this?
come on people, 200 views and no idea?
FIY, i don't want to find a skin, I want to make one, just a simple clue would be awesome =)
Moved to correct section for more coverage.
bumpedy bump still interested
well, it's been some time, but i'm still bumpin'
Hello sir my name is not Trekfan422991 but that is my username and i have what you are looking for...
the program you should use to achieve this skin is called
THROTTLE LAUNCHER..
with a little XML. you can design any kind of Theme your little heart can imagine...
this theme you are asking about would be sooooo!! super easy to code....
i can either do the coding for you...
or even some GRaphics ... i am a graphic designer...
take a look at one of the beautiful popular themes i ahve made for peoples phone .....
HERE
i would be happy to partner up with you to bring this theme to your device..!!!
i realized that your Eten M800 has a joystick and you post says your not looking at the touchscreen aspect of the theme....
so if you want to use the joystick for navigating the theme if i make it in throttle launcher .. will not be possible... you will still need to use the touchscreen to navigate the theme
Try ThemeGenCE its great for starters (well I'm still using it )

NOTE: I don't plan to make a (W)QVGA version of this skin. My last QVGA (and VGA skin) was a lot of work and I missed the support by the other community member (Thank-You-Posts / PM's / DONATIONS). And I don't have a QVGA-Device anymore which makes testing for me impossible. So don't try to convince me. I will only share this one!
THERE WILL BE NO QVGA VERSION
BUT
You are allowed to resize it for personal use only
You are not allowed to share it here or elsewhere on the internet or spreading over PM
If you are good with QVGA skinning and you taking the challange to make it for QVGA (not resizing) feel free to PM me.
If you like my hard work, buy me a coffee
CAUTION!
Modifying my skin without my permission isn't allowed!!! Please respect my work and ask!!!
Very beautiful work, thanks!
Awesome job Lycox as usual
Top notch as always! The GTX guys are going to be loving this for sure.......cheers my friend.

Looks awsome Lycox, how did you create the bar at the bottom with the return and shift keys? It was the main thing that bugged my about touchpal was that i couldnt hit return... I didnt think the layout was editable!
Great job anyway, think I prefer it over my own skin
edit: spacebar/keys are in different places also, how do you change the layout like that? gunna have to have a crack at it myself

Skinning the bottom bar is easy. You just need to edit "tl_itms.png" "lang.png" and "tl_bk.png" to your own needs, but one note: Mostly it's a bit tricky to skin them because of some stretching issues of TP4. It took me a while to skin them.
I think, I couldn't follow you? Which are the probs with skinning the spacebar/keys???
Looks awesome as usual . And I can confirm that the CAB works flawlessly
Hmmm, I'm not sure I understand...
your layout seems different to mine, but we are both using TP4. For example, the spacebar on my skin is in the center, wheras yours is on the left. I also do not have that bottom function bar.
Are we using slightly different versions, it does not make sense to me that you can change the layout simply by editing png files? What am i missing?

Ahhhhh, I understand. That's very easy. You can move the spacebar by swiping it from left to right and vice versa. The same with the backbutton.
The toolbar you can activate, when you go to options -> page 3 -> Enable Toolbox.
Quite simple he
Edit:
Just one more hint: When the toolbar isn't active, you can have "return" too. Just swipe down the backbutton.
Now thats what am talking about.. Clean and pure GTX. Great work lycox, you always deliver.
teach me not to explore a skin properly, can't believe I missed that, probably also means my skin Is missing those bits, although I think I skinned all the pngs tho so maybe I skinned It by accident.
