I hesitate to upgrade to one of the new AKU2 Roms. A2DP is not in, thus I want to be sure that I get some bang for the bucks
Currently I've got the ROM from button (thanks a lot) installed:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=37980
It's quite responsive, boot time around 50-55s (SPL, IPL - 1.01; GSM - 1.12.10; OS - 1.5.4.2)
Can anyone provide a comparision regarding speed and responsiveness? Btw, my device is/was the O2 XDA Mini S.

I used the same set of ROMs you wrote. I think this is the best combination for performance and reliability. If you do not want to use Push mail do not upgrade to AKU2 ROM. There is no performance improvement.

I was with Button ROM for 2 months and then I decide to upgare 2.17 ROM.
The best of Button ROM ( in my Dopod 838)
- unprotected Ext ROM: play with your ext ROM.
- Run fast and very stabe.
- Can change Splash Image.
The ungly of Button ROM (in my Dopod 838)
- Screen align always go wrong after few hour of use
- Keyboard is not so good
I felt the new ROM to be sligtly quicker compared to the custom ROM but most of all the wifi is connecting much more predictably with the 2.17 ROM
I am now with the new Aku2 Rom too, feels good.
With new rom, can not modify Ex rom (Ex rom automatic empty if have any editions)
Can not change splash image
Hi.
planning to upgrade my BA, can you'll guide me with the best and the most stable ROM avaliable. prefere to have a clean ROM
Thank you
ArtZ's.
None is 'better' than the others, they all have different positive and negative which would suit different needs.
TuMa is an easy, 'runs out of the box' type ROM that afaik any user would be able to install and use without problems, it also includes many applications that a user might need which is great, but if your a bit more savvy then you may feel your choice is restriced.
Ivans is a cleaner rom designed at the afor mentioned people who want their BA to be exactyl how they like it, with thier own choice of Apps etc. it also has Extended rom support so you can have these apps instal automatically.
Logouts, afaik is just a stripped own version of TuMa, with a few elements of Ivans added, i dont know much about this rom as i have never used it, but i'm told it is a good 'mid point' betweent he first two.
Artz's rom i haven't come across or even heard much about, maybe _TB_TB_ could supply some extra information?
Midget_1990 really good explaination
My choice is Ivan's rom (I repeat this is my choice, anybody may have difrend requirement for WM5 rom) I just love WM5 to be clean like a original Microsoft rom without anything else, and the decisions for adding software to be all mine
_TB_TB_ please post short resume for ArtZ roms

By the way, the poll isn't going to help you much. It's a little bit bias as not all who voted actually tried all three ROMs. Many started off with one and continued with the updates. I personally installed Tuma only for a day or two and since then its been Ivan.
Thanks a lot guys for the help, ive decided to go with Ivans ROM but before i do, id like to know if it has any issues with the bluetooth and if i can the 128 MB storage like 2003 allowed me to.
thanks
Ivan's rom till now!!!
ivan
so far, Ivan's latest version has been the most complete and stable for me with the following major issues fixed:
* bluetooth working (headset + activesync with pc)
* wifi working
* cellular network connectivity is flawless (no disconnect after soft reset)
* media player does not skip anymore at the beginning of songs
* speed is very respectible
I haven't had to do a hardware reset or reflash since I installed this latest ROM

Hello!
I have a quite new Qtek 9100, with no modifications done. What I've heard some of these modded ROMs will put some nice features and tweaks to the phone. At least I think my startup time is pretty slow at the mo.
What ROM do you recommend me to update?
Thanks in advance!
I'm new smartphone user. I've done research on how to flash ROM, cause I want to flash english version. Now I have german O2 1.14.
I want original (shiped) ROM as to be stable and reliable. I thought the highest version could be the best, so I'm prepared to flash this ROM --> RUU_BlackStone_HKCSL_WWE_1.19.831.0_Radio_52.49a.25.26_1.09.25.14_Ship.exe
What do you think of it?
I'd like to make sure because I don't want to flash my HD anymore then, until original 6.5 comes.

In my opinion yes HKCSL_WWE_1.19.831.0 is a stable Shipped ROM. I was using this for few weeks in Switzerland (Converted from German Version) and now i have switced over to cooked version.
tanks for reply. I just flashed HKCSL and I think it's OK.
What custom ROM did you flash? How is it?
Now with Laurentius
I use to change often currently i am running with L26_THDV7.5_WWE from Laurentius26 earlier was using rom from dutty. Though laurentius26 upgraded to Ver 8.0. I love 7.5 version...for its stability, will work with this for sometime and will upgrade to ver 9.0 release later. Guess it will be released in a week.
I've been using HKCSL_WWE_1.19.831.0 for a while... really stable rom...
b4 I switched to 6.5 Winmo ~^^
@rainbowsong2000, I'd change ROM often too, but I guess it's annoying allways to customize the phone after flashing!?
@lcw622, how is the 6.5 ROM (stability, user interface)? I'm allways interested in the new stuff - on desktop I use Win7...but on the phone I'm not used to test-->It's only my second smartphone after using Tytn for couple of months.

I am using the David's 6.5 V4 /w TF3D (only use TF3D for music playing ATM, 99% titanium bcoz it cost quite a lot of ram with the WMP+today plugin with titanium).. anyway the rom itself is stable enough for daily use... but since it's still the "BETA"... things might got a little messy sometime(for me the case would be...Dual Lock Screen....TF3D+Slide Lock..=0="...so...soft reset would be needed... but I enjoy being a test mouse XD ... and it might just bcoz of me trying to use WWE 6.5 ROM with the OEM Winmo Chinese full screen hand writing... but not the 3rd-party ones... and/ or might be the tweaks I did myself...
but I'd say... it's totally fine being daily applications...
Hi!
Currently I have ROMeOS.v4.21 WWE installed (ROM date 8/8/8). I'm curious whether there has been any significant on-driver-level development in the Kaiser ROMs, so if I can make my old Kaiser faster with another newer ROM. You know, make it more responsive, both touchscreen and the keyboard (I had applied various tweaks with only limited success).
Thanks
