Hi guys,
It's been great using Ivan's ROM for WM5.0.
I'm having difficulties in getting AlarmToday to work properly. My repeating alarms work but without sound. It only flashes the display message, LED and vibrates. The sound just refuses to play. However if I set the alarm without using AT's settings, the sound will play. I still need AlarmToday to make it repeat.
Does anyone know any other program that I can use to make my BA my alarm clock? I've been using AlarmToday to wake me up everyday when I was still on WM2003SE.
Please helP!
AlarmToday
Hi
I'm using pocket music as alarm (only one - wake up function  ) and plays actually good.

I know how to increase the volume normally.
However, I find that the maximum is still really quite quiet - often enough for me to miss my phone ringing when it's in my pocket, or for me to miss my alarm to get up in the morning...
Does anyone know how to raise the volume any higher? Perhaps past its normal maximum?
Thanks

I also don't hear thealarm sounds. Anyone have a loud alarm ringtone?
me too! i still need other alarm clock to wake me
I'm using this alarm sound to wake me.
Re: Alarm Clock and good wake up wav file.
I use SPB Time.
Its some cool functions including multi alarm, plus real-time clock screensaver.
Link here.

Also I made a special wake-up wav file, it does the job for me.
I got the SPB Time program, and it seems pretty good - the alarm is loud enough. However, do you know if I have to have it running constantly for the alarm to work? I mean does it have to be up onscreen overnight if it is to wake me up?
Re: SPB Time
For the screensaver, you do not need the program running. Another thing about the screensaver is you can customise it not to come on with certain programs, for example Windows Media and TomTom Navigator 5.1 etc.
If you have set the Alarm, then yes the SPB Time has to be running, but the plus is you can turn your pda off and it will turn it on to view and hear the alarm.
That's odd... I have tried setting timers and the alarm and turning my device off - they don't seem to sound until I turn it back on again
Thats strange it worked for me (XDA IIi) and my friends (QTEC 2020i). I'm running WM2003SE, maybe try re-install and/or contact spb support.
can anybody else help Anjow???
Anjow,
I got this from SPB Support, if a re-install doesn't work this may help.
My alarms do not ring when the time comes and the device is in sleep mode. Why?
Most probably you have a typical Windows Mobile 2003 alarm problem. Due to a specific WM2003 bug the system scheduling functions may have unpredictable behavior on some devices. Even native system alarms don't wake the device up from sleep mode on many 2003 devices. For our regret this problem is operating system and device specific.
However there are some known workarounds for this problem that may help (but still a 100% effect is not guaranteed). You may try WakeupTweak from BurrOak Software. Try these links: http://www.burroak.on.ca/ptafaq.html and http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=876
Thanks very much, I shall take a look at the fixes.

I have found a usefull piece of software called PhoneAlarm which solves this problem.
In ADV settings, change the shutdown delay to 30 seconds, also to increase the sound quality and volume in calls, selcect TAPI Signal, then softreset. Then do a test on your Alarm program and it should work.

Hi,
apart from alarm sound, is there any other patch or application to further increase ring volume?
Hi all,
I have a problem with the wonderful Chronos alarm/scheduling app.
I'm Running Duttys Touch v6.1 WWE rom with radio 1.64.08.21 on a UK Orange supplied TYTN II.
Can anyone using Chronos try or report the following behaviour?
1) Set up an alarm.
2) Force snooze option on and vibrate option on
3) When alarm sounds, snooze for 5 mins - screen turns off
4) When snooze alarm goes off, no sound; just vibrate.
After this the entire sound system is down. Nothing works i.e. Media Player, menu dropdown sounds, the lot. Only way to get it back is soft reboot.
Anyone else experienced this with Chronos or any other apps?
Thanks.
I dont think it's just Chronos. I have lost sound support after suspend on other programs but it hasnt happend often enough to record the entire chain of events. I'm running stock Att rom.
Was slightly suprised that a search of Chronos on these forums didn't find anyone else complaining.
Its very consistent with Chronos which does seem to suspend after snooze. Any fixes knocking around?
I used Chronos forever on my MDA but on the tilt I tried pocketalarm from wizcode. I've snoozed it and it's rung again every time.
I have the dcs 1.7 rom instaled however the alarm only vibrates when the sound is turned on! I have my phone on vibrate all the time so the alarm is no good if it doesn't work when on vibrate! I have tried other roms and it works as expected! anyone know of a fix or a freeware alarm app that may resolve this isue? I have put the rom on a copule of times so know its a problem with the rom and my phone! doesn't apear that other users of the rom are having the same problem as I have asked the question in the rom thread!
the strange thing is reminders work fine!
another thing i have noticed is if i leave the alarm after 4 minutes after it is set to go off it then starts vibrating!
Hello,
on all ROMs I tried, the alarm is not repeating its sound. I'm using TLR's rom (1.37). My friend uses 1.35 Rom and not working there either: better, when selected 'repeat sound' it is not playing at all.
Someone has a workaround, coz this thing is not waking me up at morning
I am having the same problem. First alarm is ok with the predefined alarm tone but the second or repeat alarm is click sound. Hardly hear it unless u already wake up.
yes, seems like it repeats before the alarm is finished, so instantly starts repaiting.
use pTravelAlarm all the while....never fail me....
Fizz alarm's interface is nice, but does not really work as good as above....failed to wake diamond and me up several time...
I have this strange problem for quite a while already. When my alarm fires, there is no alarm sound at all (only vibrate). Sometimes it will work again after a soft-reset, but it will cease to work later on. I have make sure it's not in silent mode, and I have selected a sound file already.
BTW, I'm using Dutty's V4 rom
To be honest, I suggest you use G-Alarm. Google it. Its very good and reliable

Thanks for the pointer. However, I did that everytime and I still didn't get any alarm sound. The sound is working when I "select" it from the drop down, but when the actual alarm fires, there is only vibration.
I'm also getting an unreliable alarm. Mostly it doesn't sound, just vibrates, but I'll have to figure out when it works and when it doesn't.
