i just upgraded my iis with the imate rom as well. personally, skype works a lot, and i mean A LOT better than it used to. i think it is mostly attributed to the upgrade of the radio.

Sprite Backup and ROM upgrade/downgrad

Has anyone used the ROM upgrade feature in Sprite Backup? I am currently using KTamas' RC 1.0 version of if AKU 3.2 ROM and am thinking of downgrading to Molski's 2.26 ROM (unless he comes up with a AKU 3.2 ROM before I do so) and was wondering if I can simply restore using Sprite's ROM upgrade restore process or whether that will cause any problems.
Thanks.
I've never heard of anybody doing it, but it's a great idea. You could just make sure to back eveyrthing up and be a guinea pig. I'd appreciate you informing us of how it works.

I may just do that but will wait a few days to see if any other AKU 3.2 ROM's come out prior to taking the plunge.
I used it to upgrade from AKU2 to AKU 3. It works flawlessly, except for the restore of the PIM data, as the structure is different. So restore without the PIM and e-mail databases and sync with outlook, as the data are there anyhow.

Radio Rom Help..

I have a RADIO Rom GSM 1.12.10
I want to upgrade it and test .. But how can i Backup this present radio rom any specific steps.
this sounds silly but i am nube .. thanks for your helppp
Euhm, maybe it's much more easier to check the FTP if your version of your radio rom is present there. If it is you don't have to make a backup. If yo decide to flash a WM6 rom, from my experience and what most of the newer WM6 romcooks recommand is to use the UK 2.19 Radio because that one is known to run best.
Or you can use WST (Wizard Service Tool) or aWizard and make a backup of the 'gsm_data' zone
Thanks a lot bro lemme tryt his one ..

back up problem

good day to all,
just want some help. im a newbie here and i just upgraded my Xda II from wm2003 to wm6.1 and its been working fine and ok. I backup my contacts on my SD card so i can restore it on the new wm6.1 interface but when im trying to do the restoring, i cant see an option on how to because the application that i use was not there already. can someone please help me!!!
Any help will be much appreciated!!!
thanks a lot!!!
Better solution.
I think you used the build in Backup function of WM2003.
We have good and bad news to you:
First the bad - this function is gone, it doesn´t exist in WM6.X
The good one there is a workaround for your prob:
Flashback to 2k3 and restore your data. Install PIM-Backup WM2003 version and backup all you want. Switch to WM6.X and restore by using PIM-Backup in the WM5/6 version.
thanks a lot sir!!!

Well just get an original 6.1 HTC ROM and flash this in the same way as getted the 6.5 on the blackstone.. As the HTC stock roms are also shipping with the radio it will also up or downgrade our Radio.
Hi,
Just check the website of HTC for the latest Blackstone rom.
Before downloading you have ot enter a serial number...
It's behind the battery
And make a backup of your personal stuf because your phone will be totally overwritten.
Personal I use PPC Pim Backup, just google and install the backup on the storage card.
Good Luck

I would suggest trying Topix 6.1 rom as it is more upto date than stock roms and faster and very stable, I have used it myself.
