Hi @ll!
Can I put the Config for my Provider from the Wizard on my BA with WM5?
My Last Bill killed me because my BA sent SMS and PhoneCalls over other Countries.
Thanks in Advance!
Hi All,
I have a problem with my wizard, most of the time it works ok, but some time when someone is calling me it goes to voice mail and does not ring the signal is maximum.
i am using radio rom 02.25.11 and vodafone NL sim.
can someone tell me whats wrong???
thanks
Typically that happens when your phone is engaged in some kind of Internet activity, such as ActiveSync, checking Pop3 email accounts, etc.
hi, recently I have updated my Radio Rom to 2.25.11 version, and have the same problem, I didn't reach 4 bars in signal, only 2, and very often i lose my signal
anyone with the same problem?
is there a way (by the setting on the wing itself) to receive only data(emails) and no phone calls while overseas? (tmo WING)
no one?
no one has an answer?
I am running XDA WM6 ROM with Radio 2.71.11 (no Cingular fix applied). I noticed that while my GPRS is active that my phone doesn't ring when I have an incoming call. In fact the network diverts the caller straight to voicemail as if I'm out of coverage.
Is this normal behaviour or is it something to do with the WM6 rom and 2.71 not being compatible? I've seen that there is a Cingular fix for this radio rom. Is it supposed to fix this problem or only a problem particular to the Cingular network?
I have experienced this once using 2.69 radio on WM5SEr5.
Turned out something 'went wrong'during startup.
Soft reset fixed it.
BTW: It only happened with an active Blackberry GPRS (via RIM APN) connection.
When internet connection (via Vodafone APN) was active all was OK
I have seen on cingulars website that it has to do with the 2.2* and up versions. It does not allow you to do data and phone at the same time. I ahve a 8125 with the same issue... I use to check my email every 3-5 minutes but changed it to 15 so I can at least make a 15 min call now.
I was hoping that the 2.71 radio would fix that but I guess I was wrong.
sobbie
I dropped back to the 2.19 radio but it still happens.
No, this is the way how GPRS in GSM works.
Data service and Voice service shares the same channel, so incoming calls are not received when data is transferring. However incoming calls are received when connection is idle, either when GPRS connection is established but no data is being transferred.
There is no way to overcome this limitation, unless you go for a 3G phone (as well as 3G service, for sure)
I have a Kaiser, WM6.1, BBConnect 4.0.0.103 or 4.0.0.104 same experience - The Blackberry configuration applet always shows "Network Available" (unless of course it shows blocked by ActiveSync, or Suspended by User). It never actually connects.
This is with a Vodafone.ES (Spain) SIM in the phone.
Earlier this year, with a T-Mobile USA SIM in the phone and a 4.0.0. late 90s or maybe early 100s BBConnect, it connected fine. The key difference now is the Vodafone Spain SIM, I believe.
Note, regular data - Internet, web, ActiveSync with DirectPush - all work fine.
So, any idea what it takes to get BBConnect on a Kaiser with WM6.1 in Spain with a Vodafone Spain SIM to actually connect? (The Vodafone Spain account to which this SIM is configured is on a BlackBerry Enterprise plan).
Thank you!
Jay
