Printing via wireless - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario Software Upgrading

Hello guys it maight be a stupid question but I must ask
I have wireless router in my office with a network printer directly connected to it so all the pcs can use it, so is there som application that can permit me to add a printer to my qtek 9100 or to let me send files to the printer. In general is there a way to print directly from my PDA via the wireless network that i connect to.

newbie wants learn about WLAN FOR PDA2K with Laptop

First of all if some one can help by explaining “that how to connect PDA2k with Laptop by WLAN”
I want that my PDA2k can connect to laptop than I can brows internet by WLAN through laptop that is connected to internet via LAN.
It can be possible or not?
thanks in advance....
Yes it is possible.
Just how you do it depends on the the OS on the Laptop.
In general you will need two NIC (Network Interface Cards) one will need to support 802.11b and one will need to be your wired LAN.
The wire LAN should not use addresses in the range of 192.168.0.xxx
You'll need to run ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) on the laptop, or a program like it. See; http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/ics/ics.htm
The wireless card will need to be configured as an Ad-Hoc network. The Laptop will need to be on and connected to the internet to browse it on the Blue Angel. The PDA will need to be configured as per this page; http://theillustratednetwork.mvps.org/WM2003/Connection_Manager/ConnectionManager.html

1.you need a wireless access point to connect your pda2k to wlan.
2.you don't need laptop to be using wifi, laptop should be connected to the same network though (thru wired lan also it works fine)
3.if u want to sync pda2k with yr laptop, enter the WINS server address as your laptop's ip address in yr pda2k.
4. if u can connect to wifi access point, u don't need to go thru yr laptop to connect to internet, if yr network is connected to internet (directly or thru proxy), just check the proxy settings (if any) on pda2k

Use PC + USB cable to access internet on HTC

Is there anyway to access internet on the HTC if you just have a PC connected to internet ?
using WM5 it's possible using active sync, but after i upgraded to WM6 it's not possible..
any clues ?
upgrade activsync
well....i downloaded the active sync from internet..
my IE on the desktop is using a proxy.. not sure if i need to configure something on the phone.
thanks for the reply
Is Active Sync required?
My nephew doesn't have AS installed (doesn't have a WM phone) and I wanted to be able to conect to the net without having to remember to taked an AS disk with me.
it's possible using wifi and routing the wifi from the pc to the isp
otherwise it's not possible
The only way how i know is whit bluetooth
Whenever I travel I take a bit of internet with me so I can use it in emergencies.
Another way to access the "computer's" internet over your phone is to use internet sharing from the laptop and create an ad hock wireless network between the laptop and the phone. That works great for me in places where there is no wireless but wired internet.
Check out this link if you would like to learn how to setup Ad Hoc Internet Sharing.
I can access the Internet whenever I have the HTC connected through my PC via USB and ActivSync.
Accessing the internet normally engages the GPRS data path, but with the USB to the PC (assuming the PC is connected to the 'net) it connects without engaging GPRS and routes through the PC.
It works on Vista and XP without any problems.
Another neat trick is using the HTC to allow me to access the Internet from my laptop when I'm away from the Office i.e. HTC -> USB -> Laptop -> IE Browser -> Internet. By using 'Internet Sharing' in programs folder.
Don't you just love technology !
this is what u need

Should I be able to transfer files over wireless between diamond and pc?

hi, i have my diamond connected to my wi-fi router and it surfs ok (if a little slow). from the pc i tried adding a wireless device to my network (currently just my router and pc) but it wouldnt find the diamond. should i be able to see the diamond from the pc? i just want to transfer files between the two. ps the pc has vista and is connected by ethernet to the wireless router.
thanks, kristian
There might be an easier (native) way, but I use Resco Explorer 2008 on the Diamond - it can see SMB/Samba shares hence allowing me to access my network fileshares. As the Diamond is the client it needs to do all the work (i.e. I cannot browse the Diamond from my other machines).

sharing my desktop internet TO my diamond?

hi,
Is it possible to share my desktop computer's LAN internet connection to my phone?(via bluetooth?)
I already have a bluetooth dongle for my pc and I have a personal area network under network connections..
Remember, I need to *send* internet from my desktop to the phone, not the other way around.
Also, I have a separate laptop without an internet connection but 802.11 b/g WLAN, can I connect to the diamond to share files wirelessly?
Thanks so much
you can share internet TO your Diamond using activesync, and if you have a infinate amount of patience, in theory you can connect Activesync via Bluetooth (its in the options, and microshaft says it works, but i have tried with 4 different PPCs, and never have made it work).
As for the file sharing, you would need to set up a VPN (Virtual Private Network) which i have no idea how to do
Interesting, I'll try that.
But is'nt there a way I can make a network adapter for my diamonds bluetooth and then have it accept the personal network connection on my desktop?
It seems this feat is possible with symbian phones and an app called gnubox which *takes* internet from a computer via bluetooth.
Thanks so much.
yes they call it PAN
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=InternetOverBluetoothNetwork
the instructions on that page is wrong.
Theres no Network cards under Settings>Connections!
hey, the active sync sharing works! =P I'm quite happy with it!!!
Btw, you can also try connecting activesync via bluetooth with shared internet. Seems to work ok for browsing but not for WL messenger.
Also, Wifi network is way more easier to setup.

Print from Galaxy tablet to Wireless/bluetooth printer

Hey all-
Trying to see if this is feasible. If I set up my tablet to be a wireless AP, can I then connect a wireless printer to it and print directly (without use of having a home network ie..no router)?
So essentially have only tablet w/ 3G connection and use a wireless AP program to make it a hotspot. Connect the wireless printer to the AP and then print. Will I need a program like PrintShare too?
That would be interesting
anyone?

WiFi printing
Dunno what you guy's try to achieve , but if you have a wireless printer check the drivers from the manufacturer. I popped over to Brother and got in no time my printer (DCP585CW if you must know) up and printing away ....
