Splash Screen - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario Software Upgrading

Ok I've read a lot of how to, and I have a question. Isn't an easier way to change splash screen, like we did on Magician or Blue Angel with a program?

i would like to see or understand the same!!!
the instructions are either outdqate witht the pre AUK roms's or either a little too complicated.
Can someone shed some light for us less than smart

Look Closely at the screen of the Black PDA2K
Or is just a Copy and Paste.
Likely a Photoshop job.
Interesting application, no setup program, no instructions. Just the EXE to drag and drop onto your PDA2k and make your own shortcut.
Don't kill the curious, but since I don't trust programs right away, I examined it, and it's interesting to find out the "unlock password" is hardcoded in plain text in the EXE file.
what do you mean by: and it's interesting to find out the "unlock password" is hardcoded in plain text in the EXE file.
I think he means that the serial number that unlocks teh full features of the software are easily obtained within the exe file; or in other words, this is not a well made program.
However, I see no reason why anyone would want to photoshop in WM2005 to those 3 different screenshots and then hide it behind giant tags. Seems real to me.
You're probably trying to be hopeful, and I don't blame you - I can't fathom why rumors say "no WM2K5" to one of the most powerful and recent Pocket PC Phones on the market.
But, if you look at the image, 1. a camera snapshot of the phone wouldn't produce that clean of a screen image, and 2. there is no thin black border around the screen image as we have on our Blue Angel devices (meaning it's not edge-to-edge graphics on our screens).
Do you know of any black Blue Angel device that made it into production? I've only seen silver (perhaps different shades and tints, but no black toned Blue Angel)?
The author's website www.jgui.net is full of examples of his work in photo editing, and that appears to be his focus rather than his website design or PocketPC work (previous JGUI programs used to crash all the time on my previous Pocket PCs).
And yes, the unlock code is plain as day in the middle of the EXE file. Open in Notepad or a hex editor, and you can't miss it.
Of course theres a Black (blue angel)

Well, on closer inspection, BeyondtheTech, I actually have to agree.
There is indeed a black BlueAngel, the XDA O2 IIs. However, this device has O2 and XDA IIs clearly displayed on the top of the device, as do all the other BA devices to my knowledge. The one in that WM2005 picture does not, which means that it was likely edited out, so it wouldn't surprise me if the rest was editted too.
On close inspection of the actual screen itself, it does indeed look photoshoped.
vbguru613, what the hell is that device pictured in your link? Its definately a BlueAngel, but it seems to be labelled XDAIIi...odd...I guess O2 renamed things a few times in the process.
same model and a diff name.
they took off the logo (o2) because of a possible lawsuit ????
Or they dont wanna advertise
Wm 2005 fir BA

How do I open my Wizard to...

Hi Everyone! Out of everything I have learned here I have not learned how to open up my Wizard and check my LCD. I believe it is going out (white screen with dancing colors) I can hear all the notifications and I can tell it is moving from screen to screen when I press the buttons, I just want to make sure it isn't a loose connection before I order a new LCD. Can someone tell me where I should start or is there a video on this out there somewhere (maybe utube)? Please let me know.
Thank you
Just do a search on "wizard service manual"
and you will find links to take it apart.
Hers a link.

Great! Thanks. That is what I needed.
Ok...too complex for me to do, I guess I will order screen and have someone else replace it for me. Thanks for the links and service manual locations.

Fun with Diamond Camera

Hi there!
Today I had a little fun with my Diamond using the camera to produce some kind of false color realtime background picture (or better background video?) in fullscreen (full 480x640 !).
This is what it looks like:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tiEji2sTyA
Well, it's a little bit battery consuming and somehow disturbing to look at, so it's not really usable, but it's a funny thing, isn't it?
cheers
Well... It's incredible!! Are you sure it isn't a fake!!???
How do you managed it ? How do you configure manile to be trasparent with camera underneath?
So curious!!
How did you do that ?????
How can your top & bottom bar be transparant ???
It's really fun !!!... I want to be able to do that too ^_^.
Wooow.
Please share your knowledge with us!
Greetings to all.
Yup share plz.How you did that nice trick?
SUPER
Expleine how pls !
Little useful and limited battery time
i want to know how you got the top and bottom bars transparent.
can this be made into a program that you can just run on demand rather than just being on at all times? so we can run it to play around with it then turn it off when your done?
Its a fake. He dont want or he cant tell us how it works.
He just want that we beg to him " Oooo please show us how it works, youre the best etc."
I think he just need attention and nothing more.
Poor guy.
FAKE
look at 16-18sec. when he moves the D closer but the image of the computermag onscreen does not get any smaller
also the angle is not right given the fact that the d camera records 90 dregrees to the screen
I dont unterstand why people doing this. He has no friends or why?
Great!!! You're the best. Pleeeeeeease... show us how it works!!!
You know it's actually logically quite simple to make such a program using video overlay as was used on older Windows operating systems before the DWM came to light.
What the deveolper has probably done is made a theme for the diamond that has alot of a single colour, most likely magenta, as this is not used often in WM6.1 (to my knowledge). All one has to do then, is render video onto any area of the screen which is pink. Using this technique, you could most likely render pre-recorded video onto the screen. If a program is created to sit ontop of all other windows, and remain ontop, and simply pass through stylus entry underneath it, then this is actually a relatively simple things to do...
This method explains how the bars appear transparent, but other visual elements do not. It also explaint why you can see aliasing around fonts and visual elements, as well as no transparensy on the Manila slidey bar thingy.
Or he used the colour as a traditional green screen, and added the video on his computer later.

not really ... thats a regular 3g / gsm device from t mobile germany ..
Kleiner Hirnloser Spacko, na geht Dir jetzt einer ab weil alle gebettelt haben?
Nunja T-Mobile User, was soll man dazu noch sagen....
It appears the video is real time.
As for the part at 16-18 seconds, well that effect is caused by just moving the camcorder closer to the phone and at a slightly different angle. It can be seen happening throughout the video.
No one in their right mind would choreograph the exact steps and angles to match the video this exactly. It would take many hours I assure you. Therefore the video must be real time.
However, the elements displayed in the foreground could be faked. Lucky me, I have a 61" monitor/hdtv that I can see some elements rather clearly. One of those elements is the time displayed on the phone.
At 20s into the video the clock turns
14:02
at 1m17s its
14:03
Do the math. Where did the 3 seconds go?
Perhaps he just edited out 3 seconds where it displayed his name or something similar. The world may never know..
If it's all indeed a fake, then why would someone do this? Advertising the newspaper on the table maybe? Or just for kicks... If it's just for kicks then likely it would be someone here, and likely someone drawing attention to it at roughly around the same time this thread was started.
My theory is that it's real, it's from someone here, and they want to get people talking about it. Eventually, someone will say, "Hey I figured it out"...and that will be them.

A few questions about themes and such...

I have searched and searched for a way to change the color on the my home page from black as best as I can tell please tell me if I'm wrong but I need to install a theme that has a different color text in order to do this.. Is this correct????
Now a few questions on the new themes... If I install a new theme on my phone am I stuck using the background that comes with the theme or can you change the background to whatever you like?
If you can change the background does anyone have a link to a simple theme that has white writing, Maybe the Buttons I saw one that was almost like the original just a little more 3 dimensional. I don't want anything to different just keeping it simple..
Now when you are talking about installing themes.. I have read many terms I do not understand and so I think if I understood them I might be better equipped to actually tackle installing a theme...
What does ROM stand for?
What is a .cad file?
Do you need anything special to install a cad file or does it do it on it's own?
This program I've read people say you have to use to install themes.. Total Commander. Do you install that on your computer or your phone?
I'm a total newbie to this and trying to sort through little bits and pieces everywhere is really overwhelming me.. I really want to get a grip on this phone..

Check out the link below. Also there is a thread in the Raphael/Rapheael forum for q&a like this.
Okay, first of it's a CAB file, in windows(desktop computer) it will be labeled as a cabinet file. copy it to your device, in any folder, open file explorer, and double click the cab file. it installs automatically.
And a ROM? you answer is HERE
Read it and read it closely. Also the wiki is a good place to read about the problems and solutions that can arise from flashing a new ROM.
Both those questions, shouldn't even be asked on the forum.
read here about font colors in TF3D
and remember always to search, i just don't feel like you had done enough. Hope these help you, and remember to read, read, read, read, search, read, search, read, then ask. Keeps the forum clean, and easier for the next person to find what they are looking for.

HTC Pure How do I change ATT World Phone?

I've been searching these forums to avoid asking something that has been asked.
But I can't find out how to change the first splash screen for my phone, the one that say, AT&T world Phone.
I've already changed the animation, and WM splash screen, I really wanna change the AT&T one to anime lol
Help?, you may proceed to call me a dumbass if you wish.
I think you can change that animation with Advance Configuration Tool (xda-developers forum thread/cab download site).
I am using the TESS Pride III rom and it is already installed in there.
Maybe I am wrong. I don't know. I'm pretty new to Windows Mobile too.
I've tried that, I've changed all the screens, except for that very first one
Same here. I'd really like to get rid of the AT&T initial splash screen. The one that comes up before the 'X' animation on the Energy ROMs.
Any ideas?
Thx
