hi, i am using wizard with t-mobile rom and i dont really think it is the newest and best one. i would like to upgarde it. so can anyone tell me what rom should i get and where and how to upgrade my wizard ??? if i am on t-mobile is it nessesery to use t-mobile rom or can i choose different one and if i do will i be able to configure my GPRS settings and all this staff ?? Please Help

I'm in desperate need ofLATEST UK ROM FOR XDA IIS. There r so many roms on this site.. but i wanted to get the original UK o2 rom.. also i'm not sure whether i will get a country ID code error or not.. and what am i suppose to do ... pls help me.
I recently bought this phone and i realised that i can't use mp3's as ringtones as the phone would only recognize Wav formats unlike the XDA II Mini i had.. can someone pls guide me with the latest UK rom may that will fix my dilema... I don't even know if my phone is called Alpine or Himalaya... pls help me out .. thanks.

guys someone can atleast tell me if there's a way of getting phone to use mp3 as ringtones or no.. (without actually screwing up the phone or making it unstable by downloading wm5)
If it's the XDA IIs from O2 that you have then it's not an Alpine, or a Himalaya, it's a Blue Angel!
You can confirm this by going to Settings->System->Device Information->Identity, it it says the Model No. is PH20B then you have an HTC Blue Angel branded as an O2 XDA IIs...
The latest ROM is available for download from the O2 UK website if you have an O2 number, but I'm guessing you don't... I have the O2 installer, it's 40.2MB, so if you have a site I can upload it to PM me...
More importantly, why do you want the O2 ROM? There is a little app which lets you set an mp3 file as a ringrtone without changing your ROM, and plenty of apps give that functionality as well, MortRing, PhotoContacts Pro, RingoPro etc...

thanks guys.. i finally got it done through O2 UK website... wasn't that tough... now i ordered a Tmobile MDA (wizard ).. should be getting it soon... have to unlock it... thats another task..
P.s - I hate the Stylus on this thing.. keeps coming off.. for the moment i applied tape on it.. but looks stupid if you ask me.

HI guys...you guys rock with the help you give to others...i really appreciate the hard work and effort you guys put into this... I just got back into pocket pc and got a tmobile mda. As soon as i got it i screwd myself by installing the latest update (not knowing that the providers are stupid enought to stop you from upgrading to other custom roms). Now i have to cid unlock it in order to get one of the best roms on this site... what i need to know is....
1.What should i do next to get a good rom working and installed?..
2.what is the best rom i can install that makes the phone go faster and makes the wifi reception better?

Hi C_Shekhar, I have download ur ROM and use it since MW6.0c i found that it was very nice and every thing work fine. I have tried to research another ROM from different creator but i don't meet what i need like yours so i love ur ROM the best. A few days ago i have upgrade to WM 6.1b and i met some problem. would u like my feed back?
I found that FTouchFlo is now working but we can replace it by installation from ExTROM. another problem is PPT can't install from ExTROM it said that the programe is not compatible with this device. One more thing is when i use ur ROM the dial light is not work. would u like to creat WM6.1c with all this things.

However I am little confused how to do that. So can you tell which rom should I use for my HTC topaz. Please step by step... thx... Would prefer most stable Rom,
Is there also dictionary somewhere.. I don't know what all these words me... cooked...radio.. and so on..
(I googled but roms come out very fast.... and couldn't find any good tutorials..)

Our Chiefs are always cooking roms with the newest applications and share them to us.
In the benchmark you can see which rom is the fastest. But I woud suggest you just try them out!
Are you 100 % sure that as a newbie you really need to flash new rom first? Why not to get to know your device a bit before making any changes?

probably in september we will see new phones with wm6.5, I've read about it in czech forum today (official information from czech office of microsoft)
I have HTC Tytn II with a custom rom installed. it always happens to give a no sound problem. it just goes all sounds muted I've heard about it might be because of wrong radio version installed. I've installed Ultimate-X v9 WWE 6.1 rom. What is the best radio for me? Thank you for your help.

It depends on the rom...and frankly I wish you the best of luck in finding a working link to radios...a lot of them expired years ago, and I've not heard of any places that have an active archive of radios. You can try them all you might get lucky.

Guys of anyone still alive I need any working link to download - upgrade my HTC Kaiser so it can work with 3G ... I have HTC Kaiser working in great condition only problem it's still with shopped window and Ron etc ...plz try ur help and redirect me where I can find working not dead link so I download the rom and radio etc ... For my HTC thanks

Mate looks like we both in the same issue here with dead forum and all developers of HTC Kaiser were all gone ... Anyway I can help u finding the proper sound cab utility I will send u a working website where u can find more than 4K working cabs for HTC for free I tested the site yesterday it's great , but only if u can help me by sharing ur rom,radio and all updates u have cuz 3G isn't working in my HTC cuz it's still on shipped window 6 ... Any working link for new window 6.1 or good custom rom that can solve my 3G will be great ,,, uploade ur rom and replay to my message and I will redirecting to the website where u can find ur sound cab fix
