Emoze Push Mail - PDA2, XDA IIi, 2020i General

Has anyone tried this and got it to work over GPRS. I have it working just fine when docked or connected via Wireless. But nothing doing when on GPRS although I have tried all the options on the menu.

I was going to try this but wanted to wait for the LOTUS supported version but if it the GPRS connection isn't working I may not bother.
Thanks for the info.

when i am at home i have to put my connections on My Isp.. when i am at work due to the firewall i have to use Work Network.. and i can surf just fine through activesync
Depending on what ROM you have, check if it has a proxy setting in your Connections tab.
latest tmobile rom.
has proxy settings, but not set, shouldn't need to.
so no one else has a problem with the latest activesync?
I'm on T-Mobile USA and i'm not having any problems with ActiveSync (Version 4.2) and T-Mobile's latest 2.26 ROM.
Can you post more information about your setup, both PC and MDA? As it could be a configuration issue.
Activesync works fine, syncs all my stuff no probs. Just cant use the internet.
I thought you could just open pie and it would automatically connect?
Can't get to internet using activesync
I can sync, but cannot update pocketweather. Any ideas?
Same problem, internet doesn't work for me at all.
Gosh dunno why I'm having such a hard time with the internet working. On my first 8125 everything went fine, internet work with activesync and wi-fi without setting anything. But now I can't seem to get them to work at all with 2 newer 8125. Try Mr. Clean rom, Molski, summitter, format my computer. None was able to get my internet back? Can anyone tell me what setting did they put inorder to get thier internet thur activiesync and wi-fi.....thou I thought it should just automatically be the same as my comp ADSL ....like before, plug and away I can update weathers and surf net?
Anyone out there, got there internet working smoothly like I had in the first time?
might have the answer, worked for me.
Okay for anyone that is having problems with Internet working thur Activesync, you can try to go into start, setting, connections, usb to pc and uncheck enable advanced network functionality.
And it work for me, yahooooooooooo....
But what about eMail?
I have my TMO MDA set up for a Comcast eMail account. When I go GPRS, the eMail works fine.
But when I use Activesynch and my USB cable, I get "Cannot connect with current connection settings...."
Also, is there ANY way to have eMail give me the full message the first time, rather than requiring be me to click on the full message and reconnect?

I've been having the sync without passthrough for about 2 months now.
Great. When I try to go into "USB To PC" the application basically crashes. Does anyone know the registry edit that would be needed to disable advanced network functionality?

thanks!
I've had a sync issue and the issue where passthrough internet didn't work for 2 months. This little change fixed both.
Thanks.

Also check Active sync, File -> Connection settings -> this computer is connected to: -> The Internet.
This did the trick for me, now it's updating perfectly.

WiFi again! - not connecting

Hi,
I had XDAIIi WiFi working fine on my home network until last week but it stopped being able to connect to the internet or download e-mails even though it showed connected with a good signal.
The icon at the top showed that it was still trying to connect, so I configured the tiacxwin adapter with a fixed IP address to connect to the internet. Now the icon shows that WiFi is fully connected but I still can't download web or mail.
Any ideas?

Oh yeah, I forgot to say the Netgear router admin screen on my PC shows that my two PCs are connected but the XDA doesn't. Should it?
When I try to download mails it says 'Unable to connect to the incoming mail server...etc." Used to work like a dream.
Oh yes and what is that list of Network adapters about? Are they all installed? Or Just a list of ones you might have?
Had a similar issue with a different WiFi PDA not connecting to the access point, the other PDAs i have to hand would connect fine just not my HTC Trinity, yes i know its not an alpine - that did connect just fine, a reboot of the access point cured it perfectly and now everything connects just fine.
OK.
The PDA now shows up as a connected device on the router but is still unable to find mail servers and is very erratic at finding websites.

Actually, I think that has helped for the Internet access at least.
Now the only problem is downloading emails. Still getting 'Unable to connect to the incoming mail server...etc." GPRS is OK.
I had this problem when I first used WiFi at a University last year but it was resolved when I first logged on to my Home Network a few months ago.
Now it's gone again.
Sigh.

wmIRC will not connect

I'm having problems getting wmIRC to connect to an irc server which I use every day.
Direct Push works, IE works, and other applications that access the internet work.
When I launch wmIRC and select to connect to the server, the phone tries connecting to MyISP GPRS... but it fails.
I'm using isp.cingular in my connection settings.
I'm kind of stumped as to what it could be.
Any suggestions?

ditto - wont connect via wmirc - whats this gprs?
i'm gonna try it via wifi
no luck with wifi - seems to be client is broken..
but seems to work fine with zsirc - free as in beer :>
http://www.ircreviews.org/clients/platforms-wince.html
let me know if you get any others working :>
I tried wmirc the other day and didn't like it at all. Didn't connect here either. I used/use PIRC, much better and more reliant.
yea, I use pocket irc and it works wonders especially since it's i think either freeware or trialware but I still haven't been forced to put in a reg #. But like you, I can't connect on EDGE but I can connect on 3G and wifi. Weird.
i use pocket irc 1.2.4
Weird because i only use it on wifi. I don't have the data plan so i have to.
seems to have started working [zsirc]
but i think the problem is it doesnt have a way to natively dns - try finding the ip address of the irc server and put that in
i turned off wireless entirely and did a soft reset and it was working when i knew the ip address - not had time to try on many ircds, just rizon thus far.
speaking of which is there an irc channel for this yet? if not come to #xda-developers on irc.rizon.net -- if owner of site comes and idents to me i'll turn chan over to him neh?

E-mail not using WiFi connection

Hi
I have a tytn 2 with standard HTC WM 6.1
All of a sudden, when i check e-mail with send/receive whilst i have an active wifi connection, the data connection activates to download the e-mail.
There is no problem with the internet connection as opera/IE works fine at the same time?
I cannot find any settings on e-mail allowing u to select which default connection to use.
It was working fine B4.
I tried HTC support in South Africa but they cannot help.
ANY IDEAS?

It's under advanced server settings when you set up, or edit, your mail account settings.
So that would be, at the messaging screen, hit menu, the options, then click on your account, hit next four times to get to the outgoing mail server screen, then hit advanced server settings, there is the network connection drop down. It's probably on media net right now. Click it over to the internet. That should fix it.
BRILLIANT
Thanks alot
Works perfectly now!
I wish HTC support was as clever as you!

Wireless ON & GPRS keep connecting

Hi,
I have a problem with the GPRS and Wireless connection. I am using Windows Live mail and and set it up so it is manually synchronized! Same with other mail accounts.
But, every time I connect to the internet using wireless and then press Send/Recieve, it keeps opening GPRS and use it to retrieve new e-mails and ignores my wireless connection!!! Which is really annoying.
How do I fix that?
I have exactly the same... but then with internet sharing with my laptop... keeps using my gprs/3g instead off the wifi that is 100 times faster.
annoying
and it is really annoying as you said, it is much faster with wifi and for people like me where I do not have monthly GPRS data included, it's really annoying and costs a lot.
Earlier, I had my e-mail to automatically download new emails daily and suddenly, I got a huge phone bill because of that problem!! So, e-mails are downloaded manually now until I fix the problem!!
You can find the answer here:

Newer Windows Live always tries to connect using your default Internet Connection even when you are already online. To solve this, you need to go to:
Start->Settings->Connections->Advanced->Select Networks. Change everything to My Work Network.
With this, Windows Live won't try to connect when you have active internet connection. The problem now is, if you have no active internet connection, it will force your device to connect to your gprs/3g but will fail to work. You will need to reset the setting above to your gprs/3g connection.
yes but
Yes but chaning preferences for my network would result in not having my mms working, or gprs when I need it?
However, I have to go back to settings and change everything again to get things to work!!!! I would rather have a solution than a workaround
not working

Have you tried NoDATA with HTC Diamond with WM6.1?? NoData seems to be an old cab file for older versions of WM?
