yes, the card reader reads my card but the mda3 dont read

format using card reader your card into fat file system and try it, the other option is to format your card using pocket mechanic in your pocketpc

I sent my BA back to the shop due to the same Issue,
SD was not readable, new rom did not help.

sd card not working

Hi,
I need some urgent help...
today i got apacer 1gb 60x sd card.
the card does not allow any write function when it is in my pda2k, thru active sync or thru file explorer on my pda2k,
though it works fine in a card reader, can write and delete on the card.
my older 1gb mmc card is wirking fine in the phone.
i also formatted the card using a card reader, even that does not help.
i tried a format utility on ppc, but that can't do anything on the card, it says the card is read only or the access has een denied,
pls help me!!
I have the same problem and I can not fix it.
I think its the quality of the card.
Same problem here.
For future Reference it is a 1GB, Pretec High Speed
my friend bought 2 cards and sent one to me,
his pda is O2 xdaIIs and mine is imate pda2k, both blueangles..
but the card is working on his pda, and not mine..
hardware is supposed to be the same from HTC...
i fail to understand how can this happen.
Possibly the size of the card, 1gb, is the problem?
FWIW, with regards to size, I use a 2GB Sandisk card in my XDA IIs without any problems.

1gb mmc card is working fine on this phone..
so size should not matter..
i can read the stuff from the sd card... but can not write on it when it is in pda, i'm able to write to it by using a card reader..
Actually I think it may be the speed - 90x on this end

Copy of files is very very long

When i copy a big files, for example tom tom maps, the time is very very long. Why?
Are you talking about between pc and ppc? If so it's slow for everyone. If you using SD Card you should put that into your pc and copy from pc to card instead of pc to ppc/sd card.
I have insert the sd adapter on my card reader, but he tell an error and not read the card

I don't that problem.
Maybe you have to reformat, make sure you have nothing important on the disk right now or it get erased.

Ok, download and try
I have download the program, but he tell: "The device is not supported". Why? What can i do?
Your reader might not support SDHC. You'll have to get one that does.
if you are using a SDHC card then your computer probably doesnt support it. Only newer computers/card readers will support the SDHC cards
I've used MicroMate adaptor and is all ok!

2 gb sd card

can anyone help? ive just brought a 2gb sd card and my o2 xda iis wont read it? is there a patch or software to help?
2gb cards are general ones any pda can read them if u r getting any problem try some other cards on ur pda, if they works repalce the 2gb asap.
tried a 128mb card and it wont read that either...
Make sure the card isn't a SHDC-type of card (most likely not, but one never knows).
Does the phone even see the card, or does it just have problems reading it?
Tried reformatting it in the phone? A known issue is many programs on a stand alone computer will try to format SD cards as drives (floppy or otherwise), which is the wrong formatting for flash devices.
no its not a shdc card.. ive no idea how to format the card in my phone ( a o2xdaiis), it shows the slot in use but no storage card

Well, you can format it from your computer using a card reader and the flash formatter software from panasonic, or you can get an evaluation version of various different programs for the PPC platform that will do it as well.
Google for it, there are a lot of different ones and I've only ever used the panasonic software and a usb card reader.
not hain any luck .. got a flash card programme but my xda wont read any memory cards at all

If the cards are readable with the computer and/or other devices but not in the phone, I would suspect a hardware or potentially software problem with the phone.
Has the phone been able to read any cards at all, or is this the first one you have tried?
Have you tried backup up your data and hard resetting the phone?
tried a 128mb card and the 2 gb.. it reads the slot in use but no memory card ..think the problem may well be the phone... it had mobile 2003 on when i brought it have now upgraded to mobile 6 and still donrt work

brick Sdcard. Can i help me :( Pls...

Hi,
i'm having serious problems with the SD card on my Milestone. Let me explain :
1. If i try any generic app which tries to access the SD card, it says it's not there (Camera says "Please insert a SD card", other apps say similar warnings). And i can't use "update.zip" on recovery mode
2. Settings>SD card & phone storage says Unavailable to everything, like if the card is not mounted.
3. Recovery mode say "can't open /cache/recovery/command"
Any ideas ?
Try cleaning the gold contacts on the sd card an the sd card holder...
Also try seeing if the sd card works on an external sd card reader
Hope this helps
Sent from my Milestone using XDA App

If it works fine in a card reader, it might be the card slot in the Milestone that might be broken.

Have you ever been brick sdcard? Also possible that so many people use android brick sdcard failed. I think the milestone card reader works fine: (
I would recommend taking your SD card, backing up the contents to your computer, and then doing a non-quick format on the SD card. There's something corrupt about the filesystem of the SD card that the phone does not like, and a format of the SD card should repair things again.

What format are you putting it in? If it is in NTFS, I believe it will not recognize it.
