I have a Cingular 8125 i've unlocked it and now i'm trying to decide if I should just flash it with the Cingular ROM or with the T-mobile MDA US rom since i'll be using the phone with T-mobile...
So what do you think, which has the better ROM?
I also have the Cingular 8125 phone and TMO service. I'm wondering the same thing?
Im doing the same and I use the new summiter cingular rom 2.17 with ad2p etc..... and it works great on my phone. The only thing is that u have to manually put in the mms and internet seetings

does anyone know the differences between the PDAMobiz and xelencin 2.24 roms.
i only saw the PDAMobiz 2.24 rom and installed that one.
now i found the other rom.
i am giving the mda vario as a gift to my daughter who will be using orange in israel.
the orange roms are dated several months ago.
she will not be using edge or gprs but will use wifi and the phone.
should i change the rom before i give her the pda.

I upgraded my TMobile UK Vario using "MrClean Goes to London" AKU rom and was wondering whether I could upgrade to the latest TMobile USA 2.26 ROM. Is it feasible?
As I upgraded from 1.x to 2.21 I unlocked the CID, but does it make it compatible with the TMobile USA 2.26 ROM? Will there be any problem owing to different languages (uk v. usa)?

I have an unlocked cingular 8125 using tmobiles service, i was wondering if it was possible to put a tmobile MDA rom on it? I want to get the new version on aim found on the tmobile roms. Any ideas?
as long as you have got rid of the CID lock by using lokiwiz (on the forums) then u can use pretty much any ROM to my knowledge but i'm a newbie so might wanna get a second opinion
whats the most stable and newest tmo rom for the 8125?

Just flashed it. Lots of bugs have been fixed. Seems to go faster too. Been trying out custom roms but not found one i am happy with yet. Cheers

This rom is not newer than T-Mobile HR's rom
I think it is not newer than T-Mobile HR'rom.Sometimes, it still can not turn on wifi from com manager.
Have to say been testing this with it at 247 on omap and it is very fast looks like a good rom over all

It's definitely a newer version than the latest version released by T-Mobile US but I think that in order to use this here in America, you will need to CID unlock your device.

That's just saved my brick Got stuck on bootloader after a failed wm6 flash. This has sorted it out -thanks for the link as I couldn't find it in the usual place on the t-mobile site.
Has anyone tried this with the T-Mobile USA MDA?
If so, how did the upgrade process go? Were you able to upgrade directly from the latest official Tmo USA MDA ROM? Did you have to unlock the phone first?
What advantages and/or disadvantages have you noticed, from the most recent official TMOUSA MDA ROM? Does your MDA run faster now? Does stereo bluetooth work better? Is your MDA more or less stable with this ROM? Any change in its functionality as a phone? Any change in battery life?
