Touch Flo 3d

For some reason mine dosent have it, checked the disc and the today screen plug ins where on earth is it to enable it. Yep its a gray import.
It should be automatically installed when you first open the device.
If you don't have it, then look at the great collection of cooked ROMs on this forum
alittle new at this any reccomendations on a cooked rom and where it is, and another question also i have read alittle some cooked roms greatly reduce battery and sound aswell as reception so i hear. Dont really want that to happen on me device.
Anyone who is using cooked rom and works fine with a good completion of media things like decent mp3 player and avi, mpg ect ect.
File explorer is a waste of time too resco explorer would have been miles better.
U can do one thing...go to start>settings>today>items>enable the touch flo3D if its not checked...should work though...
cheers
You must do a Hard Reset...

Maybe the device is installed without the "customization process", which doesn't start if the device gets a soft reset after initialization of WM6.1.
In other words, try doing a hard reset, and let the customization proces (countdown starts after you have calibrated the screen and see the first of the WM6.1 desktop) start and finish. That should do the trick if you cannot find it anywhere else.

No Windows Live

Hi,
today I got my MDA compact Iv from T-Mobile, which is basically the HTC Touch Diamond.
I was so excited about this new phone and it's new features.
But I missed the Windows Live Messenger, which I need.
So far I used the MDA compact I, which got the old MSN Messenger.
I guess T-Mobile deleted it. Even with Hard reset and reset befor T-Mobile installs it's fancy software there were no Messenger.
Can you help me install it?
Thank you for your help
Idea
Any idea???
A site where to download or the files which I need???
try to setup in email settings a windows_live account first...
it will have been taken out of the ROM.
you can either install a cook rom with it in, or try and find a live messenger cab... i'm sure there is one..

edit - see above
just to make it easy for ya
go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=405728
scroll down about 3 roms (its one of the lite ones and there is a link for extra applications)
download that rar file and it will have messenger in it. and it should work fine.
Hey mattie01,
this is the first messenger running on my device. Alle the cabs from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334621 didn't work.
The messenger starts not, but I can't log in.
I still can't creat a live mail account. When I click sign in messenger says, that there is a connectivity problem, even if a connection is open.
I hate T-Mobile for deleting it!
This one worked for me on a dutch MDA compact IV:

EDIT - NB - site is down I have cab if anyone wants it...

Poorly Duck

Hey everybody,
I got a wing through tmobile and I`ve been trying to install PoorlyDucks Vista app but its not happening.Loaded everything on to my phone, installed what I was supposed to but nothing. Now the Comm Mgr and Audio Mgr show up in my programs when I go to that tab but its not like its there all the time like if I installed SPB shell or whatever, know what I mean.I have to actually open the app from there but then when I close it it also goes away. Can it be loaded on the wing?
It might not be a compatable program and so it wont install.
However you will get more help from the T-Mobile wing forum instead of the s730 Wings

What ROM should I use?

Hi.
I've just SIM and CID unlocked my HTC Herald P4350 and now I've got the WM6 from the HardSPL method.
I've already seen other OS's like TouchIT and I liked it very much but since there a lot of them I'd like to know which one I should use or how do I choose the best ROM to flash my PDA.
Peace.
That's a thing only you know!
Do you want to use Manila2D? with Opera full? => OpenTouch 7.7 Biggy
Clean ROM? => Just2Clean
very clean ROM, but with some individual Programs like Opera Mini => JustME
Do you want an Opal Clone? => Try Gullums one
Do you want a clean ROM where you can install Manila on top => Open Touch 7.7 lite
you see, there are a lot of things to think about!
Give us some information what you use your Herlad for and we can help you better I think!

So, I'm 21 years old and what I'm looking in a PDA is that it works like a media center, a workstation and a GPS.
I may need to use to load some PowerPoint presentations. But more importantly I want all of this but with the most atractive look and lots of gadgets and informations on the "today" screen. i also want to play some games, see movies, listen to music, etc.

you could also look at the OPT that ttran made with the omnia theme... no power point but you can download mobile office anyhoo.
- Good luck mate
Well if you want to have something to play around with, you should perhaps use OpenTouch 7.7 biggy!
Manila 2D
Opera Full
Youtube
etc.
You only would have to install office (perhaps on storage card?!)

How about TouchIt WM6.1 Full?
And can you please link me those ROM's mentioned?
Open Touch 7.x ROMs
I only suggested ROMs I tested! I never used a touchIT, but if you like it, try it!
ruebyi
I can't find any of the download links in either of the ROM's... Neither TouchIT or Oper Touch.
http://www.evolvers.net/Herald_Roms/Version%207.7/
What about the TouchIT last version for the P4350? Can't find it either :x.
I'm still a bit confused by the amount of ROM's that exist and a question is still on my mind, does the ROM's for the Wing work on my normal HTC P4350? Because I've read somewhere that the Wing was the name given to the T-Mobile version and that it uses different ROM's.
Can anyone help me with this?

Vario III/Kaiser - Quick Question - Plz see my last post

Hi guys,
My dad's handed me his Vario III / (Kaiser 120) to use.
I did a reset using the option in 'SETTINGS' to reset it and lose all date. Now, when I start it up, it looks like new and the time/date has to be set. All my dad's contacts have gone. Cool. - 1. Was this a Hard-Reset ?
I went to something like SETTINGS > INFO and got this:
Radio Vers 1.70.18.02
ROM DATE 9/01/08
ROM Vers. 3.31.110.3 WWE
Build 19212.1.03
When I start it up, it says Windows Mobile v6.1
A couple years ago, I loaded tomtom navigator on it for my dad. It was really good with the internal gps.
Anyway, now that I have the phone, I'd like to install tomtom navigator on it, use the camera (maybe 10 photos a week) and upload pics to my PC, and browse the internet (email, twitter etc.) from time to time. Also, I'd use the handset to connect via bluetooth to my laptop so I can use it for internet (in emergencies, as it is kinda slow). I also text (3-5 texts a day)
I also downloaded an app called Shazam.cab from a site called mobilism, which I would love to use as I have seen it on my lucky friend's iPhone and the app is awesome!
2. Apart from the usb cable, and active sync on my pc, do i need anything else to install shazam on my phone/micro sd card?
3. I assume a ROM means operating system? Like windows xp, 7 etc.
I see that people are putting new ROMs on their phone. My phone has
Storage Free Space: 121MB and Programs Free 55MB. There isn't a lot of 'bloatware' hogging up resources on there, as far as i can see.
4. Do I need to install a custom ROM now that you know my uses (in blue font above) for the phone? / do I need to flash it? I.e. will a new ROM/flash make my life a lot easier? Better to convert to android system? Will I need to do any of these things to install shazam?
I was goin to do this on the weekend so I can use other sims in my phone:
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334679
fingers crossed it goes ok.
Can you please help?
Thank you
Sonny
ps. I may need to ask a couple more questions after this. Once again thank you for your help. If anyone needs advice on cameras, please let me know as I am a regular contributor to a photography forum.
1. Yes, it was HARD-Reset (removes all settings, contacts, messages, ...). It doesn't do anything to the MicroSD card.
2. I don't know anything about that. Sorry!
3. Yes, ROM means operating system. There are stock ROMs and modified ROMs. For Kaiser (a.k.a. HTC TyTN II) you'll find only stock Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM and lots of modified WM 6.1 and WM 6.5 ROMs. There's no stock WM 6.5 ROM for Kaiser.
4. Android is not stable enough. Sometimes it crashes, doesn't wake up and so on... All your mentioned things can be done with both WM 6.1 and 6.5, so it's for you to decide what to use. WM 6.1 looks a little bit old and terrible, but it uses less resources than WM 6.5 which looks a little bit... like system that was made to be similar to iPhone OS. Yes, WM 6.5 is more finger-friendly, but the applications grid drives me crazy, it uses more resources (and loves draining the battery)
Thank you very much for taking the time to post. I found it really useful.
I stuck with original HTC ROM with 6.1 and I am loving it. Shazam works wonderfully well. The phone is so damn sharp. And, using 2 apps at once is brilliant.
Does anyone know if I can put more icons/apps on the TODAY SCREEN?
At the moment, I am only allowed to put 6 in the start menu screen, and 1 (tom tom) on the today screen.
My Start menu has: 1 File explorer, 2 organiser (i use the calculator a lot), 3 internet explorer, 4 MS word (for my notes), 5 shazam (use a lot), 6 Resco photo manager (for uploading to FlickR)
I'd like to add 2 more apps (wunder radio + core player) somewhere with quick access.
Any ideas?
Thank you
Try copying applications links (.lnk files) from \Windows\Start Menu\Programs\ to \Windows\Start Menu\
I'm not sure if it's going to work with Windows Mobile 6.1, but it's safe to try
