I have upgraded my Cingular SX66 to Tuma 1.3 I must say it is very nice. I do need some help with a Radio ROM update. I get a code 100 error and I know the id needs to be set in the ROM I am unsure what ID to use. Here is the current DeviceData .txt results -
P H 2 0 B 1 W W E 5 . 0 3 . 0 2 TuMa NONE 4 % 4
xda3nbftool -sd ????? -sl ???? -so ???? ms_.nba
xda3nbftool -sd ????? -sl ???? -so ???? nk.nba
sd should be PH20B1
sl should be WWE
but what should "so" be?
THANKS

Hi
On PDA2k_WWE_12200_162_10600_SHIP I got a country code error
I was 1.12 WWE on a GER T-MOB101 PH20B
I have the very strong feeling that this is caused by one of two problems.
1) The Country Code ALWAYS has to be the shipped version and not that was obtained in DeviceData.txt
and / or
2) the fix bat
xda3nbftool -sd PH20B -so T-MOB101 -sl GER ms_.nba
Needs to read
-sd Device -so Operrator and then -sl Languge
and not
-sd Device -sl Language -so Operator
Can anybody confirm verify if these are both true or only one of them.
Thanks
If you have , how did you get the upgrades to work?
I've been trying to upgrade my radio only and i've been getting
ERROR: 100 MODEL ID ERROR
any help?
Q1: are you using the fix.bat with the correct Model number ?
Q2: Are you using a radio that we know that works 1.06.02 FRA ?
how do i set up the fix bat to work with my phone?
Can you post me step by step instructions for that because i've searched everwhere for it, i included my device data fie with this post, just in case.
Thanks

I have an MDA III from T-mobile and I want to replace the rom with:
"Qtek (Dutch) WWE DANGA001 1.40.00 1.40.556 1.13.00"
I changed the provider code & language code with editfix.bat
When I ran editfix.bat the dos windows said:
"Warning:this does noet look like a nbf header, possible you provided the wrong password"
Then I used MaUpgradeUt_noID to install the patch but it doesnt work? It said the update was complete but the rom is still from t-moble?
I seached the forum for the rom-password (like told in wiki) but didn't find it.
What do I have to do?
thx in advance,
Adrian

I own a Qtek 9090 from E-PLUS germany and as I always use my company SIM Card from T-Mobile, I thought it would come in handy to have a T-Mobile GER ROM in the newest version. So I read the wiki on how to upgrade my phone and did everything stated in the wiki.
I edited the fix.bat as told in the wiki and when I run it, I get the same notification as the guy above.
Do I need a different PW forthis rom? Does anybody have it?
The ROM I try to install is the:
MDAIII_TMDE_14201_116_11300_Ship
HELP!!!
the details I edited in the fix.bat
the deviceinfo from my Qtek says:
PH20B 0 B GER R BRIGH102 1.40.01 0 1 1.40.750 1.12.00 12.00
And i edited the fix.bat to:
REM ~DeviceData.txt PH20B 0 B WWE E T-MOB101 1.12.22 2 2 1.12.169 1.02.00 02.00

REM 'sd' stands for device, e.g. PH20B.

Just follow the upgrade to newst rom 1.42 on the main page of the BA section.
Use the german rom.
Fix.bat will not work on a type II rom
thank you, you use the vodafone 1620 too, and where r u too?

I managed to sucessfully upgrade to BA_TMUK_14200_112_11300_Ship - now everything is in english which is great, what isnt great is that it is T-Mobile branded. My goal was to get the latest ENGLISH ORANGE rom on my phone.
I assumed the upgrade path was BA_TMUK_14200_112_11300_Ship to RUU_v2.5_OrangeUK_v5.40.1.179.ship, but i guess i am probably wrong.
I used GetDeviceData.exe to get the new information from my SPV, which now reads:
PH20B 0 B
WWE E
ORANG202
1.42.00 0 0
1.42.112
1.13.00 13.00

I extracted RUU_v2.5_OrangeUK_v5.40.1.179.ship to a directory along with UpgradeTools.rar. I edited EditFix.bat with the above information. I ran EditFix.bat and it gives me the following text:
WARNING: this does not look like a nbf header, possible you provided the wrong password

I have been going through this for about 5 hours now, and im getting pretty frustrated. Most of the posts here with similar problems all point back to:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blueangel
Which is great, only that i have read through it maybe 50 times. Not sure if i am missing some vitally important part in it and i am blind, but i really dont see any info about passwords that i can put in the fix.bat file to make it work.
Any help at this stage would be great. Passwords for RUU_v2.5_OrangeUK_v5.40.1.179.ship would be even better.

You doint need the fix.bat on rom version that are above 1.31 as most if not all of those roms are Type II.
If you want an unbranded device then run the upgrade of the t-mobile without the ext rom file (nk)
What you realy need to do is cook your ext rom (wiki has a section on it).
take the ext rom of the orange france 1,42
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_ERK_Available_Ext_Roms
Extract it and merge it with the T-mobile 1.42.
Like I said wiki has a good section on it.
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_RomKitchen
Hope it helps
I actually want to use it in the UK. I assume that i take the UK ext rom and merge it with the t-mobile rom ?
I will try it, if i come back crying you will know that i screwed up somewhere.
Jason
How do you make the extended rom into a .nbf file ?
