Whenever we are WATCHING A TOPIC on this Forum and we get a Message in reply to that, we get an e mail giving us a link to that Message.
IS IT POSSIBLE that we get the entire MESSSAGE in our mailbox instead of the Link ?
I mean Liks I am at this time watching 12-15 Messages and they do get 10-12 replies per day.
It is tiresome to click on the links on the day to day Basis.
Moreover the Messages which I shall get directly shall stay in my mailbox for Future referance too.
Any suggestions?
Maybe there is a Forum setting I have MISSED !!
If you use a RSS reader and put 1 of the following links you won't loose any message or post anymore.

First post so please be gentle. Just got my first smart phone but I cannot see a way to set up groups. Don't know if thats the proper name but I regularly send the same message to about 20 people and the only way I can find on my tytn ii is to individually select everyone which is time consuming to say the least when you do it probably 15 or 20 times a day. Please help!

Is there any SW which will show the Text messages one by one. Mine is showing in a Conversation mode ( Ex- If i send 10 different messages to a person it's showing as a Single message). How will i disable it? Pls help ...
Dear ithehappy,
Let my introduce you to the wonderful search function. Most, if not all, of your questions are already answered you just need to find them. Search is how you will find them.
If you wish to disable Threaded SMS. Do a search for your information and you should find it.
Also, If you notice my Signature has a like to the Kaiser FAQ Wiki. Check it out it has a plethora of information.
Sincerely,
JimmyMcGee
nice well thought out burn.....and I agree with everything you just posted
hi all,
i travel on the underground trains a lot, and sometimes its the only time i get to write / reply to text messages.
however when i click send all i get it "SMS CANNOT BE SENT" message and it gets saved in my drafts. then i have to remember later to re-send them.
is there not a way that we can queue the messages in our outbox so that the phone immediately sends when it gets reception?
my old phones used to do this but it seems newer ones dont..
many thanks!
just wanted to ask if people understand what i mean? i found a similar topic to this form last year with no replies also.
my old HTC (200mhz windows mobile 5) had no issues with this, so may be this is just a registry fix... ?
There is an easy way to do this...
type all the message in ur Tube Train
once all the messages are there in your drafts, go into your drafts folder, select all the messages and click menu>move and move it to outbox. Once your phone will get the reception sms will automatically go
Regards,
Vishal
see but this is the problem, if i do not have reception already then sms get automatically moved from the outbox back to the drafts folder.
i know you are trying to be helpful but i want it to do something different!
imagine this, you are on the tube, then you get off and make your way through the crowds up to the street level onto a crowded busy street where just standing in one place would be in somebodys way.. so i walk to where i have to get to and immediately once i am there the client will be asking me questions or i will be working to make a good impression for us..
it leaves little time, and by the time i would remember i would already be at home wondering why i havnt had a reply!
someone must know where to point me to find an answer?? i cant be the only one!
i've asked on a few more windows forums to see if anyone knows. ive also had a look through the registry myself to see if there is anything obvious which there isnt..
i'll keep posting back with my findings.
I really understand what you mean. That little thing keeps annoying me too, most of the times I believe I've sent the message but I haven't, leading me to missunderstandings.
My old Nokia n70 didn't have any problems with that....sometimes I miss that phone so much!
Please write down here whatever you find...

but of course I could not find the answer I want to do a one time transfer of a text message from my captivate to my pc , I don't want to always back up all my text messages or sync it to Google- I just want to save the funeral announcement for my stepfather text that was sent to all family members nationwide to give details of when and where it will be held-some my think it is morbid but i was there when he took his last breathe and for some reason I feel I need to save that text
I know there will be people stating use the search button and i have but have not been able to find an answer i also tried all the search engines and cannot find a free app that I can use once- I don't know maybe it's part of the mourning process as this just happened so I would appreciate any help
thank you,
Harry

long press on the message> copy text> paste to txt file> save > copy to PC.
or
forward message as email to yourself
thanks all, will just use simplest option as TRussello said just going to email it to my self
or screen shot and send it to your pc
Sorry for your loss. You could use an app called "SMS Backup". This save all your txt msgs and allow you to restore the msgs after reloading your phone.
Is there an app available that will allow you to forward a received SMS thread from one phone to another.
I have spent hours on Google Play and there are tons of "forwarding" apps but they are "all or nothing". In other words, they will send all incoming sms messages from one phone to another, but I want to forward a thread that I have already received from my phone to someone else. Kind of like forwarding an email. I know I can open the thread, long press on a text message and forward just that text, but I want to be able to forward the entire thread. Is that even possible?

I know it used to be possible but duno anymore. I did a little search but couldn't come up with much. In the mean time, you could delete all the other threads and use the ''all or nothing'' app? Just an idea.
I'll post back if I find more.
