Seems 2 B Very stable ROM upgrade!! Works for most...

I applied the t-mobile RUU_Prodigy_1060204_105_11210_TMO_UK_Ship.exe upgrade and all has gone smoothly.
In order to no longer have t-mobile dictate my homepage and other extended ROM, I did a soft-reset after initial boot process (straight after hard reset).
The device is much more responsive than before with NO lock-ups at all!! Great!!...so I thought.
1) Have installed operator settings, but got no MMS.
2) Camera pics are specled with snow - need a camera patch desperately!
3) Lost the functionality of changing the lower 2 softkeys - is there a single .cab file that can replace this?
4) Would love a simple .cab to replace bootscreen - but not essential to the running of the device.
If I could just get these things fixed and there are no software conflicts, I believe this to be a very stable OS.
Can anyone help? Much appreciated in advance.

To change today softkeys run the program attached and then you can go to system settings in the start menu every time you need to change it .

Someone knows how to install it? Which file in the T-Mobile UK extended rom should I install?
I tried the SmartDialing_enable_0915_signed.cab but is not working

Sorry guys, I've tried 'Buttons' Custom Rom and it Rocks in conjunction with the TI OMAP overclocking utility and 'batti' a useful battery checking utility with CPU temperature gauge. The ROM is also totally free from branding and annoying customizations and even the bootscreen picture can easily be replaced!!

My Vario now rockets along at 240 Mhz with only minor rise in temperature, but I'm still evaluating.
I would also hasten to add, that you don't need to be a guru to apply the ROM upgrade and other tweaks and improvements. Just take the time to read all posts of a particular thread and make sure it's NOT a new thread, as established ones usually carry with them the problems and solutions.
All said and done; it's not perfection by any means, but it sure is getting close!! :wink:

Is the keypad mapped the same as the o2 XDA Mini S on Buttons Rom?
I've tried other roms and the keypad layout is different to what is on my keyboard.
Other than that it's not a problem.
I'm going to try it out now anyway!

Keyboard layout needs one registry tweak (change value to a different number - each country has a different one), but all information is on the same thread.

Hi Chazam. I'm glad it's worked out for you. It all went bad for me I'm afraid. But I've now moved on to Qteks 1.6.7.1 ROM in the hope of a stable ROM.
I'll keep You all updated by means of a new thread once I've 'thoroughly' tested out this one! I spoke too soon last time, but that doesn't mean everyone else who tries this particular ROM will. As a matter of fact, most who've tried it praise the guy who made it, Button.
So all the credit goes to him and those that helped him cook up that Custom ROM. :wink:

I too am happy with the rom. I would sure like a copy of the 02 plus V2 for mine tho. Also, I had to remove the Magic Button program as it was causing lock-ups and a soft reset was all that would fix it. Once I removed it,my Wizard started working like a champ!

Good rom but problem with media player and wifi
So far of what I tested I advise everyone to use Helmi,s untested bluetoth stacks works fine. My jabra 620s stereo headset works perfectly.
Media player on the other hand wont work.
Wifi doesn't kick in.
I think with a little of touch this rom will be great.

Bluetooth and WLAN working fine, can be control from Wireless Manager.
GPRS connection works fine but the Radio signal does not change to SMALL "G" with the two little arrows.
Error on capturing photo - Unable to save the captured image. 36001:500:10 Unable to get data from camera device.
Photo and camera is 90'D rotated..is there a way to change it?

I would like to update to wm5 and tried to use your build.
but like the other builds, it wont works.
The Flashing sequence was successfull, but in the end it won´t boots.
After flashing, i reset the device and there are only appearing the colored bars, and some moments later appears the "R" Version number.
In some other Roms i found the guide to make a special reset, so that appear some checkboxes, but exactly this wont works.
I tired several combinations but without success

To access the 3 menus immediately after flashing on a PH20B BA you need to hold down the power and reset buttons and once the coloured bars appear quickly press and release the camera and voice recorder buttons simultaneously. It may take a few attempts but this is what you will need to do to finalize the upgrade.

Does i have to press it:
- before the version number
- before the version number and while it appears
or
- when the version number appeared
To now it hasn´t worked.

WM6.1 ROM (build 19209) is finally out for testing. Though there is not much of distinguishable difference but they claim more stability and bug fixations. The size of the OS is increasing with every release of new build. The tailoring of those new builds to fit into the small ROM size of the Himalaya is definitely becoming a challenging task. 1. ROM builders... people who actually make the new builds for new devices (Most Difficult)
2. ROM porter... people who port the ROM from newer devices to old devices (Difficult)
3. ROM tailors... people who cut and paste the ported ROMs (very Less Difficult)

Do I have to flash the rom again?

Yes you will have to Re-flash the Rom
But there is an easy way..i created this prog only for those who were Noob Cookers
Instructions to change Splash Screen Easy :
Goto to ur Windows directory
locate a file called welcomehead.96.png
replace that file with any image you want
NOTE : Make sure the image format is .PNG and the size resoulution 240X320 or 320X320

What is new over 19199?
Can someone tell me what is new or improved over Build 19199 (6.1.1c16CS) ? The problems I have in that rom are,
1. Absence of a STK software,
2. Cell Broadcast not working (at least for me)

I turned on channels 050, 010 & 063. but none of them were working as on wm2003. I still couldnt find a working STK (Sim Tool Kit) software to use my built in menu of the sim for mobile wallet & location based services... Are they solved in this release?

German & Russian Lite ROMs

Hi everyone, who have HTC Jade or also known as HTC Touch 3G!
Introduction: I glad to introduce my first modified ROM for this model. It will be "Lite" version of ROM, which contained minimum standard software. This gives us free place and improve performance. So and you install software which you want instead HTC vendors choice =)
Many thanks to udk for the Jade-Kitchen and OliNex-Team for Hard-SPL, cause without them I can't do these ROMs.
Why 2 ROMs, are they different?
No. At first I start develop only Russian ROM, because am natively from there, but right now I'm in Germany and, as I know from my friend, there are "deficit" with German ROMs =)
So, I decide make ROMs in parallel for 2 localizations. They are completely identical in content point of view.
Russian ROM v1.* based at 1.40.411.1 firmware
German ROM v1.* based at 1.40.407.2 firmware
Russian ROM v2.* based at 2.32.411.1 firmware
German ROM v2.* based at 2.32.407.2 firmware
There are little announcement: I want release also another one version "Sterile", which contained nothing 3rd party or OEM software, except Windows 6.1.
My strategy is not fast increasing version and build number, but stability.
So, right now many monstrous HTC components like Manila 2d, Office, Windows Media Player are in system yet. In general I a little bit learn about inside structure of ROM. I'm newbie in WinMobile and PDA devices. Jade is my first one.
I want receive more feedback from you about bugs, request some features and so on. It very important for developing and improvement.

I am looking for my HTC Touch from Vodafone G3, a German original HTC ROM. Have found nothing yet. Only as. Raw file, which I can not anfangen.Hast you some info for me? The Lite ROM in German, which includes the ROM? Pictures?

Achat, this ROM based on ROM Without branding.
So, my ROM contained ALL origrnal stuff exept list of removed stuff, which i write at first post in this thread.
ROM contained melodies, just only which set as default:
Alarm-Dawn
Alert-Atmosphere
Alert-Glass
Alert-Signal
Alert-Soft
Alert-Sonar
Ring-Innovation
Pictures are only for "shaped" avatars (~Avatar-0*.png)

1) - Sorry, now I have no time and want to assembly new version at weekend
2) - Likely no because no reason to do it. Jade work without it and if you need this tool - you can install it separatelly. Try to use search. For example I found ready packet here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=17203. Or I can send German package from ROM

Are there evident improvements in your ROM?
I have one certain problem with my Jade/Toch 3G:
Incoming call, the ringtone lasts a bit until I can hear it (see the light of the screen going on before), and when I pick up, there is about 1-2sec delay until the line is connected.

Still have the official one... Am wondering if I should give it a try... Mostly it would be because of the ringtone delay, this wake-up-delay...
Can you try yours please? Put the phone into "sleep" mode by pressing the off button, wait a bit and then call it with another phone. Hear the dailing tone in the phone and check the jade... I have a delay of about 2-4seconds... And as well the acceptment of a phonecall. I press the green button, but it lasts about 1sec until the line is connected.
