MDA Vario T-Mobile Software - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario Software Upgrading

Hi everyone
I have just bought my MDA Vario all is great, but I have noticed that the T-Mobile Customization software slows the device a great deal, has anyone attempted getting rid off it and how? The T-Mobile software is really annoying please help guys !!!
Cheers
Arthur

Hello Arthur,
I suggest you read the Mr Clean goes to London post or look up the Molski rom.
Custom T-Mobile 2.26 Rom (Dutch and WWE). (wwe is the language code for English).
I will assume that as you have just got your Vario its a G4 version so you will need to be brave and follow this tutorial to get a clean rom system on it.
[How-To] Install any 2.x ROM in a CID-Locked G3 or G4 Wizard.
You could also follow this tutorial to start with.

Wish someone had felt sorry for me and given me this advice when I joined the Forum a few weeks ago but yuo will find that you will have to do a lot of reading yourself as Newbies tend to be treated a bit as thought hey are an annoyance which is a shame!!
If you get stuck PM me although I am nearly as greeen at this as you.
All the best mate

ps. I have flashed mt rom using the Mr Clean and it works although I have a few software conflicts. Will try the Molski Rom tonight and report back.

Hey Purser,
Newbies are always welcome here, we do expect you to do your own legwork though. The problem is not that we are annoyed at Newbies but rather that too many seem to feel entitled to just pop-in and ask questions without even reading the stickies at the top of every forum.
If a newbie posts a question about AKU 2.3 Rom in one of the AKU 2.3 threads then they are generally responded to kindly. On the other hand when someone just starts a new thread titled "NEED HELP!!!" and then Post "Just got my 8125 3 minutes ago, what's the best Rom" (oh and this is their first post with 1 minute of joinging XDA-Dev) then they will not get the same respect.
We were all newbies once. I remember find this place when I had my SX-66 (BlueAngel), I read for two weeks before I tried anything and then I nearly messed myself during my first Rom flash. Now almost a year later I'm more experienced and on my second HTC device (already eying #3). I had been reading the Wizard forum for about 1 month before I purchased my Cing 8125.

I think you need to do a lot more reading... I'd advise you to spend a lot of time reading all the stickies in this forum and learning everything about them.
No one ROM suites everyone. Spend time looking to see what ROMs have what you think you want / need. Then make sure you understand what you are getting yourself into and the risks in doing this.
Search is your friend in this forum. Make sure you use it heavily before posting questions, or you will get ignored or worse
BTW, room is different for ROM..

first post and congrats thread.

hi all.
firstly, many thanx to all for this site, great reading.
just upgraded my XDA2S to WM6 and for my first ever 'flash' it went great (apart fom the odd 'have i fecked my fone' moments)
one problem i have is TT6 refuses to load back up....any ideas?
many many thanx to Helmi.
hiii, first of all welcome to this forum and i agree with you this forum is very good when it comes to hacking / upgrading a device.
but the best thing is the people are friendly here

Best Rom for HTC Wizard/MDA Vario?

Hello Community,
today i received my new mda vario from t-mobile. Of course i immediately installed some programms, but thats not enough anymore i want to upgrade to windows mobile 6 or 6.1 if possible. I searched lots of hours in this forum, but i still didn't find a good rom for me.
Could you please help me to find a good rom for me? It should have this "touchflow", to use the phone without a stylus, like an iphone. Other things are not that important...
Thanks in advance for your help.

PS: Sorry, if my english is not that good, i hope you understand me

You should search the WM6 section. You can read a lot of opinions there
I'm using the AMP ROM with very pleasant results (without need to overclock!!)
cheers
there are plenty of "Best ROM" out there...you just need to read and test one by one. There is no 1 so called-best ROM suit every individual. You have to experience it yourself. Last but not least, read before you flash. Everyone here was newbie before, it took sometimes to get familiar. But believe me, all sources are here in XDA.
Good luck and happy reading,
Cheers

Web and Walk MDA Compact IV T-Mobile NL

Hi all, I have been reading the forum for a couple of years now and its really helpful and i want to thank you, but this actually is my first post ever. Usually I find everything I need in here, but I don't post messages, just because I don't really understand and know a lot about the topics discussed here.
Anyways, I recently bought MDA Compact IV with WebNwalk(I was using MDA Vario II for a couple of years) from T-Mobile in the Netherlands. My problem is that the device is with Dutch Rom, meaning everything is in Dutch, which is a problem for me couse I don't know Dutch. My questions is if I install WWE Rom on the device, will I be able to use the webNwalk with the new Rom. I tried to search for that in the forum, but I couldn't find anything.
Your help will be highly appreciated, Thanks
yes, but make sure your phones sim/ cid unlocked before trying any cooked rom installs.
Read the diamond wiki & upgrading/ installing roms threads etc...
No matter what language your phones on, if u have a dutch t-mobile web n walk deal going, you'll get access to the web np's i would think.

I heard somewhere that you have to do something special before you can flash an Orange branded Handset
Is this actually the case and what do i need to do if it is.

I have been flashing my touch HD for months love new roms
Its just my gf rom is the Tytn 2 but i want to give it a new lease of life for her
