Can anyone recommend any good mp3 player on WM5?
GSplayer its free
GSplayer is OK, but to save space, and handle playlists, and be free, use TCPMP.
Does movies (properly encoded) and MP3's
Conduits Pocket Player is well worth the $20
MortPlayer (freeware)

I use an MP3 for a ring tone that works just fine. Inspalling Morph PLayer or PocketMusic buggers up playback of MP3s as ringtones - I think it's an association problem. Does anyone have a workaround as I hate the default Media player...
I had the very same problem!
I solved it by converting all my ringtones to .wma format then I unchecked that file type within the music player. I don't use .wma for my music so this wasn't a problem. MP3 serves me quite well as I download that file type from emusic.com direct to my Alpine.
Hope this was of help
Matt
I don't use WMA either Matt - I shall try your cunning plan today. BTW, anyone have a player recommendation while I'm at it
.cab file!
will play Real Media files on ur pocket pc!
thanks. may i ask if there are types of files that real player can play, but tcpmp cannot?
Well, if it plays RMVB, then I'm sold. I can encode DVD rips down to 300 mb and have the same quality as a divx at 700.
thats a huge file at 300mb. im happy with mine being at 200mb still get good audio and video. tcpmp all the way. i dont know why but i just never liked real player

It won't play RMVB, only RM. Also, speed is not really good in our wizards. I suggest you to encode your DVDs in divx format (or xvid) and to use tcpmp. As for size, if you create PPC-optimized divx (resolution 320x200) you can compress a movie in as low as 100-150MB. Use pocket divx encoder 0.3.60, it's free and it's the best i've found (sadly, it doesn't run under server 2003, only XP ) Bye
Does anybody know where I can get an mpg player for my WM6 K-jam?
Cheers
Steve
tcpmp plays mpg, avi etc. I think there's also a plugin for media player to make it play mpg too.
TCPMP isn't wares. Get it here from there website.
Hi,
Did you solve the problem? I got the same problem and need to solve it.
Thanks
Hector
Here is what I want to do:
At least be able to listen to aac and flac files in the HTC player.
I would love to be able to automatically sync with itunes.
I have a brand new kaiser. I have licences for pocket player and pocket music (with the aac plugin) which I don't necessarily like to use. If I can't use the HTC Audo Player for aac or flac files, do you have any suggestions to make listening to music on the kaiser as convenient as it is on an ipod.
Am I dreaming?
google tcpmp 0.81 i believe that has the codec for aac
what is the best video player for kaiser. I have tcpmp but want to know if there is another one beside media player (no .avi files) an tcpmp
Check out coreplayer.
