Need Midlet Manager (JMM) cab file for 2.26 ROM - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario Software Upgrading

Does anyone have the Java Midlet Manager install CAB file for the 2.26 ROM? Please note that in the 2.25 and previous ROM's, one could create a shortcut to windows\jmm.exe. However, it is missing from the T-mobile 2.26 ROM.

Place the ZIP_WWE.CAB in your Extended Rom
in the \Extended_ROM\Config.sys add the following line
Quote:

Ok 2 things,
1 you need the extended rom unlock util which will allow you to see and edit items in the hidden extended rom folder on your pda.
2 dont bother with the ZIP program, get pocket rar, its freeware and works much better. You can install cabs from within rar or zip files without needing to extract them to the file system first etc.
PS: You can copy the config.txt to your pc to edit, or edit with pocket word of similar.

I have unlocked my extended rom and can extract the contents. In the unlocked extended rom there in no config.txt file?.
Would it be possible to just replace the ms_.nbf file that contains the extended rom with another extrom, just like I replaced the Radio file then use the fix.bat
Many thanks
The newer ROMs do not use a config.txt they run a setup.exe program called from a modified version of autorun.exe instead.
You can use the old config.txt file by replacing the autorun.exe from an older rom and creating your own config.txt (you can also then delete the unneeded setup.exe file).

ok so correct me if Im wrong, you unlock your extended rom delete TPEnable.exe, TPDisable and setup then hard reboot. unlock extrom again then replace old for new, new having autorun.exe and config.txt?
Many Thanks
I usually do the upgradein this order:
1) Copy the ext rom unlock tool to PDA - run it and then run unhide + unlock ext rom.
2) Soft reset to unhide ext rom.
3) Make a full backup of current ext rom to PC!
4) Create my own ext rom by adding / removing apps as necessary to ext rom as cab files and modifying config.txt.
5) Hard reset PDA to install new apps and clean copy of Pocket PC.
Note:
As mentioned before, if you do not have a config.txt then you will need to replace autorun.exe with one from a pre v1.31 ext rom, create your own config.txt (Use one from ftp server as a base) and you can delete the setup.exe prog as it will not be used.
I have left the TPEnable and TPDisable on the ext rom but have removed their entries from the config.txt file so that the screen is not disabled.

TMobile WAP

Is there a way to get the TMobile WAP program that was released in the 2.26 update of the Wizard on the BA?
I tried to just extract it from the extended rom and copy over the cab file but the BA said it wasn't a valid install file.
Any ideas?

Install Extended ROM?

How to Install Cingular Extended ROM?
Ok, so I hate to have to ask, what I think, is a dumb question. I downloaded what I think is the Cingular 2.25 Extended ROM from the FTP site, and need to install on my device which is freshly flashed with Molskis 2.26 30 MB Free ROM. I have copied the entire folder on to my device then from file explorer, I ran the "Auto Run" app. All it does is re-install the Molski performance and customization tweaks. Any help would be great
I couldnt imagine in having to install each CAB file individually?

Extended Rom T-Mobile AKU 3.3 How to ?

Hi,
I try to customize my extended rom. I have search in every direction but do not find.
I have flashed my Wizard from AKU 2.0 FRE rom to new AKU 3.3 WWE T-Mobile ROM. I have CID Unlocked my Wizard. Now I try to customize the extended rom with my custom data (cab & XML files)
If I try to write something on Extended_ROM2 i Have an "the media is write protected" error message. I don't have deleted Autorun.exe file but it does not appear any more. I could not delete anythings and now autorun does not work anymore.
I have dump all the content of the original ROM.
1- So how can I customize the extended ROM ?
2- Can I extract all files from the T-Mobile nk.nbf (os, ipl, spl, radio, extended rom) and replace only the original extended rom with mine and redo a nk.nbf with nb2nbf_wizard.exe ?
3- Or Can I upload to the wizard only a new custom extended_rom ?
I'm completely loosed and must re flash with original ROM.
Thanks by advance for your help.

WinCE Cab Manager

Hello.
Just want to ask,why I cannot lot of cabs open in OCPSoftware WinCE Cab Mgr? Some files could be opened, some not. Or exist another similar tool?
Thanks.
I had the same issue with WinCE CAB Manager version 3. The solution was downgrading to version 2, which seems to take all CAB files just fine.
