Hi all,
I will be on business trip very soon and just bought a second hand xdaIIs a few days ago. However, the phone seems very unstable with the bluetooth and wifi connection sometimes. It just hanged but a softreset can help.
I heard that the new Asia ROM 1.31 appeared in Singapore and many users found it happy. Is it possible that someone can send me the new rom using the SD backup method?
Thanks very much in advance.
Cheers,
I am uploading the original O2 xdaIIs Asia ROM version 1.12.62 and the Radio 1.02.00 by using the SD card method.
The files seemed very large cause I used a 512M SD card (only available in hand at that time), so I have to change other card (128M).
Anyway, I tried the files and it worked so I posted it here hopefully if someone want to downgrade to get its warranty will find these files useful.
However, again, downgrade at your own risk.
At the end I still want to the most latest ROM in asia so hopefully if someone is doing a hardreset for something will spare sometimes on loading the latest ROM to the ftp. Cheers,

The files stored in CE Rom directory.
The ftp is ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/BlueAngel/
The user name and pw are the same: xda
Hope you can get your device back.
The size of the ROMs are both around 128M cause I used a 128M card and backup them separately.
Base on your case, I suspect 1.08 Radio is only work with 1.22 ROM or higher. 1.12 ROM is not suitable.
Cheers,
thanks chris for the quick response........
but i am unable to access the ftp ??
it shows "ftp folder error..... 530 permission denied"
is there anything i missed ??
ftp://xda:[email protected]/BlueAngel/CE_Roms/O2 Asia xdaiisradio10200.zip
ftp://xda:[email protected]/BlueAngel/CE_Roms/O2 Asia xdaiiscerom11262.zip
Hope that works
and could you make the file smaller? cause i only got 128 SD card..thanks a mill!
thks MDAIIIUser
downloading now
fingers crossed .. hope i cud get my iis up and working.
The files are 128M cause that's the smallest SD card that I have.

Hope everything fine and I am still waiting for the Asia xdaIIs 1.31 Version.
Cheers,
sigh......... only managed to download 1 file, the ftp is down
chris_khho..have you tested this? cause i got me a 512 SD just so i can do this..it doesnt work. what i did was "ntrw write filename.nb1 I:" . am i doin something wrong or the file aint working? help dude..cause my IIs is always showing that flash manager error thing and the Storage folder[this is the diskonchip device ryt?] keeps disapearing after ive done my first soft restart, i was hoping this would fix this..HELP! damn this phone..

Dose anyone still has a Extended Rom and see version # on WM5.0, After upgarde from 2003 to wn 5.0?
I don't have extended rom any more after i did upgarde.
if anyone does, please let me know how? or how to rebuild new one under 5.0!!
Thanks
If you following the wiki instructions, while upgrading, you were instructed to remove the ExtROM partition (actually, make it 128 KB only and format it). Thus, there is no ExtROM anymore. So, no one with a WM5.0 currently has an Extended ROM unless he made it manually.
Thanks for your reply. now i am happy that was not a mistake
I recently upgraded my Qtek 9090 from Win 2003SE, to WM5 according this thread http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_5.1.1700_build_14343_Upgrade.
I had some problems with this WM5 so i decided to downgrade again to Win 2003SE with this ROM : http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=129930#129930
The problem is that i now have problems because i dont have MMS messages (but i have text and Email) and sometimes the screen keypad when selected appers on the top of the screen, not letting see several information.
Can please anyone help me?!
I try to answer you because i had the same problem i think and nobody answer me (thanks!!! ) See the post above
After a downgrade in my extended rom no more mms. The problem for me it was the size of extended rom . When i downgraded my wm5 to wm3 without resizing my ext rom any attempts to upgrade any new ext rom seems to be ok but really nothing happens.
So i resized it on 16mb (1684kb) with doc repair and after the last upgrade of my network ext rom everything it's ok.
I don't know if your problem is the same but .... try.
Regards
cescof
Sorry if this is posted before.
I've a problem with my extROM in my xda2s. Before it, ive followed all instruction to unlock my extROM, then partition it then i've made an upgrade with my xda2s with WM2k5_1.60c.00WWE_XDA2_HIMALAYA, first i've got checksum error, so ive made an editing with editfix, after that the himaupgrade checked that the rom, the extrom with strange version (its not like, eg. 1.40, it shows somekind of block & the other ascii character) except the radio. So I kept continue it doubtly & it 100 complete. After that ive got my device just showed with bootloder mode, even ive reset it. i guess that ive done a destructive way ( right ?) so i flashed it again with WM5_pack_V3.rar but with no extROM, & my device alive again so i tried to unlock my extROM with ExtROMUnlocker(for_WM2005_Only).cab, unhide was succeed, unlock was unsucceed, so what am i gonna do now ??? , please help me ... or i'll go to hell with the wrath of my parents .... hiks

Ive upgraded BA device
Posting my experience for desingo
Well, i went so mad that i created http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_WM5_Extended_ROM
that wm5 has no extended rom, i downgraded to wm3 first.
created with the doc resize tool a 'partition" of 4mb's.
than i upgraded back to wm5.
installed the patch, rebooted
now my extrom is visible (see picture on the wikipage) and big enough to put files in, i consider it for now as the /storage of wm2003.
The data survives a registry and storage reset under wm5, but it wont start up,(yet).
The BlueAngel seems to miss a extended rom driver and some registry settings.
If anybody knows what files are used to be in the extended rom driver, please tell me, i
want to try with the wm3se files to recreate that "driver".
Or will the registry cab "EXTROM" thats on the wiki will do if they where integrated in the patched rom version?
After i installed this patch, after a reboot my autorun starts to "install"
So this is where i stranded with this problem, since i got wm5 on.
Curently running on my BlueAngel:
Wm2003SE 4.21.1088 Build 15159..2.6.4
Rom version 1.42.00 WWE
Rom Date 09/05/05
Protocol 1337.42
Radio 1.13
Bluetooth build 3900
Extrom: 1.42.115 WWE

under wm2003
if you resized your rom to go to wm5 you need to resize it back to ?? i gues around 12 or 16mb? for himalaya do not know the value, must be done under wm2003
Than reinstall the wanted extended rom in .nbf with the no id loader.
note: make sure other 2 are nbf are not in, unless you want to do a full upgrade again.
You can always see ur extrom again, but it must be bigger then 128k
and use the extrom cab or a extrom unlocker tool.

i think i dont understand the problem proberly.
Once you upgraded to wm5 with 60mb storage, you wiped out the extrom password, so your extrom is already unlocked.
so if you go back to wm3 your extrom is stil unlocked.

Only if you want to stay om wm3
The time, id could save you 15minutes, but you must be running wm3 and resized your extrom back to the original size, before you can reinstall your extended rom

U need to unhide it. use the cab from mamaich on the wiki page that i created
Hi,
I upgraded to WM5 then realised I hadn't resized my ExtRom so I downgraded to 2003SE and tried to resize the ExtRom but I get an error: FL_IOCTL_FORMAT_PHYSICAL_DRIVE_Failed . I have unhidden and unlocked my Ext Rom and can write files to it. I have tried hard resets etc but nothing works. Please help if you can.
If I can't resolve this what are the implications of leaving the ExtRom as it is and upgrading to WM5 :?:
Many thanks for your help
Simon
i am having this problem also
no solution yet it seems
the implication is tat we have less mem to use at 42 instead of 60
other than tat, its just a little performance hit, else works fine
i have this problem too !
downgrade to wm2003 and when trying ro unhide my extended ROM with extrom.cab , a folder with extrom icon apears at my device with label NAND Disk and i can't resize it to original size ! when trying to resize using REPORT_DOC.exe gettin the FL_IOCTL_FORMAT_PHYSICAL_DRIVE error.
isn't there any solution ?! is my EXTROM dead ?!
Same here...
Same here... I have the same problem. I had search the forum for solution. Tried all kind solution. Even tried out different version of WM03 ROM to no avail. Hope someone out there can provide us with some help here.
Anyway, there are no implication for leaving the extrom as it is. Hope this help...
