Is the xda ftp down, or is my ip banned ?
Accessed it from work a couple of hours ago without any problems..
Noticed that I couldn't access it from home yesterday aswell..
If I'm banned somehow, I would like to know why

okay i have the wing with Tzones with the proxy settings and i cant seem to get to any websites lyk google etc...none of my IM programs work even with changin tha port to 110...funny thing is "www.yahoo.com" works nd loads up but when if i click any links from there it says the same when i try to access any other websites " Error requested conent cannon be accessed. you do not have access to the site."umm yea so ive posted a bunch on HOward Forums but no one can seem to help me out on mayb what givs with this whole problem...i was wondering mayb if i flashed to a new ROM would it make a difference....any help is apprcieated.....thanks guys
Are you using 216.155.165.50:8080?
If so, then that's strange... unless t-mobile closed the hole in your area...
Either way, a third party ROM is always a good thing... unless you have the patience to go around and properly cleaning the wing ROM. (The WING ROM isn't that bad, it's just badly cluttered. My clean ROM is based on it.)
I went through a similar situation 2-3 weeks ago .... took about a week for everything to get back to normal.
Yea I'am using that proxy IP...i think ive like tried everything lol...I live in NY so idk if any1 thats around here can acutally connect using tzones...
NextPiMp...you say you had similar problem...but its now fixed??...did you do anything yourself to fix it or it just started working all by itself...the thing is i dont really feel like waiting 2-3 weeks for it to start working cause if it doesnt work by then im kinda paying for T-zones for nuttin ( although its 6 bucks it just feels like a waste )
Ivanmmj...yea i know what you mean....I might just flash my ROM for the hell of it...thanks guys
Anymore similar incidents or ideas / opinions...if you guys would share i would appreciate it.....thanks guys
I recommend getting Pocket ToolMan v2.0.21, then use it to set all three Connections Setting (T-Mobile Data, MMS, Modem) to Always On. This help with troubleshooting identify you have your t-zone setting correctly or if it's just not connected when you troubleshoot. I click on the Edge icon and it will show you that all 3 is connected.
I took my G1 to school today and tried to connect to the WiFi there. It is an open network, but it requires you to login using your school account via a website. Usually, when I connect with my laptop and open my browser, I get automatically redirected to the login page.
With my G1, the browser can't load a single page. It says connected to the network, but I have no actual internet access, and can't get to that login page.
Any idea how I can get around this?
Thanks
I have the same issue at my work. I have a captive portal that does not seem to redirect properly on the G1. Other phones seem to like it just fine. My work around is to add my mac to the auth bypass, but this only works because I am the actual admin for the wireless network.
try finding the address your laptop connects to and bookmarking it on the G1 and see if it lets you pull it up that way.
As I am pretty certain entering the redirect URL won't work (though I am trying it tonight) is there ANYTHING else anyone can think of changing or looking at? I had the same issue on my old Nokia N80, but only recently.
As predicted, the URL method did not work. Tried many variations and still no luck. Any further thought on this, or if the G1 will ever support Enterprise authentication?

I have the same issue in our Enterprise captive portal using different Android moldes ( Samsung Galaxy S 2 and mini ), can not get the login page, but works fine with an iPhone.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Hello,
Has anyone else had a similar problem? From my G1 on t-mob I am unable to connect to rapidshare.com
I am unable to even ping rapidshare.com from the terminal, the initial ping just refuses to send.
If I use the IP of rapidshare it resolves fine.
Anyone have any idea at all what could be causing this? I know it worked as of a week ago and I haven't made any changes of note.
WHOIS also gets mad at me, maybe someone in my providers ip range has been abusing services?

Rapidshare.com rarely works with downloads and the G1 in the first place, so why you would want to access it in the first place is beyond me.
Regardless, if you can access other websites on your G1, it's either a problem with Rapidshare or your provider. Try accessing it from a WiFi connection and see if you get any luck.
I actually haven't had rapidshare problems in the past, I just happened to be sent a link and didn't want to wait until I got home to save it.
Will check with wifi, thanks.
It works fine for me, but I have a RS account.
So I share a 512Kb/s internet connection with people I don't know, and now it is slow as hell.
I heard that there is a software that hangs computers on networks, don't know the name tried googling but couldn't find anything.
anybody knows anything don't hesitate.
p.s I tried remote shutdown but failed every time

hahaha I wish it was that simple, I don't have the router's username and password and they are not the default. Also I don't have the router only a 50 meters network cable between our pc and the building owner appartment.
too complicated I know
Try this;
Download net tools 5
Find the udp flooded
For ip thing put 27.27.27.27
Drag the slider to ten and fill that box up with LOADs of stuff, next hit start and leave it for a bit it should flood your network so everyone else gets kicked off when you wanbt Togo o turn it of
Or use the ip flooder if you can find the ip of everybody on the network
Bet there's someone downloading torrents or some other P2P thing.
A friend of mine in Tel Aviv used to suffer all the time because her daughter would leave her PC seeding.
They had 8Mbps down, but only 128Kbps up! It was so easy for the upstream to be flooded and grind everything to a halt.
the net tools works like a charm
i even tried doing an adhoc network connected my tp2 and no site opened
I'm from jerusalem btw only in jordan for studying

Hello,
It is a off-topic thread so my problem belongs here, hope someone will help me here with this....
I have a weird problem accessing http://www.yahoo.com since last week i thought it was a server problem for a while but no it is not as i checked the sites with my neighbor's PC and both the sites working flawlessly... and we have same ISP i.e MTNL Delhi. Whenever i access any of the two site i get the following response, attached:
at first i thought it was some virus or bot problem which is taking my these two sites request to another sites so i switched to linux but of no use, same page is over there too when i access the sites... :| Can someone please help me with any solutions to this problem?
XDA does not allow the use of torrent sites. I have removed your link. Please do not discuss anything related to copyright material/warez and further.
Seems you have something that redirects you to a different site and that site is down.
