I try to do a ROM upgrade from French to English. When I launch the upgrade program (from I-Mate) in my SVP M2000 I get an eroor message:
ERROR 120: COUNTRY ID ERROR 28-28-12-12-12
Can anyone tell me, please, how can I upgrade my SPV M2000 to an english version?

you need to change the country ID insite the rom by editing it, but do not forget your SPV2K keybord is AZERTY and the upgrade will be QWERTY...

Suppose I have an Qtek 9100 with an English version of Windows Mobile 5, is it then possible to use the on hand (FTP) Dutch Qtek 9100 Rom update in order to get this Qtek 9100 updated with a Dutch WM5 version?
I'm asking because I once had a Qtek 9090 which needed a Rom update. But when I tried to use the official Qtek Rom update back then, the updating process failed due to this "Country ID error".

is possible to install a ROM of another producer on a HTC Phone?
Example I have a HTC Wizard marked MDA Vario or XDA Mini S with german language and I would to instal ROM of I-Mate k-Jam with italian or WWE language.
