I'm new here so forgive if i've posted on wrong thread!!!
I have used the xda developers unlocking program to unlock my XDA IIi on 02 (Alpine) which ended up unlocking it but then got stuck on the Network code screen with the output of invalid code everytime i've entered the network lock code (00000000) as it states in the discription of the instructions that was posted on XDA Developers Thread.
I have tried soft and hard reset, aslo with the sim in and out ios there anyone out there that could shine a little light my way to help me solve this extremely annoying situation pls?

a quick question. I just bought one of these xdas from ebay. However when I got it the phone appears to be locked. When I insert a sim it saya 'network is lock please insert unlock code'. I am not sure what the problem is but am worried have been sold a stolen phone that has been barred.
The seller is not being helpful and I really would like to just keep the phone. My question is- if it has been barred is there a way to unbar it? I know it is possible to unlock xda phones by flashing new roms & changing the radio etc as i have followed the instructions on here before, but just wondering if anyone could offer any technical advice on my problem. It will be a lot of hassle to get a refund as seller is not at all responsive so any help would be appreciated please.

Hi thanks for the quick response! I will go read the wiki now. I guess I should phrase my question better though- what i mean is, if the phone has been barred/ blocked on the network etc will unlocking it with the unlocking tool be of any use? Thanks in advance.
the unlocking tool will remmove all network lock from ur phone.so ur phone can access any network.

No. If the IMEI has been blocked on your providers network, the only one who can get it working is said provider.
However, your description of the problem is a sim locked phone. Once you run the unlocker, you should be fine.
Hello, today I got a LG Optimus Black. It was used before.
The problem is that is has password which I don't know and the previous owner doesn't know either... It also probably has a simlock on an English network, and I live in Poland... Is there a way to make it work? I can't run any app because the phone requires the password on start up...
Help please. If it is not possible to do it myself, does anyone know how much would it be to service it? I don't have any papers or warranty...

It's not a PIN code, it's code of the telephone. Yes, I have.
If it is a simlock, without sim it wouldn't appear.
I remember a similar case in the forum... search and see if he resolved it...
Maybe you could reflash the phone!

I bought a Galaxy Note here in Mexico, actually 2, one for me one for my GF...
The only company that brought it here was Telcel, but in 6 months i finish my contract and want to move to a different (Faster) Company...
Im new at android, so i was told i could sim unlock my android easy.. well i have been searching lots of forums, and havent found an answer yet,
I even dare to pay to get an unlock code at http://www.cellunlocker.net which i do NOT recommend i havent got answer for my problem yet, anyway here is my problem, i got the code, so its easy i just have to input the code on my phone, the problem is that i dont know how to input the code.
This is what i have tried so far...
1.- Put a sim of a Network locked on my phone... i was supposed to get a screen saying insert Network Lock code or something like that, instead all i got the first 3 times was Network Locked... that's it no option to input the code, right now i dont even get that screen it only shows the icon that means network locked...
2.- I search in the forums, and found sever ussd Codes in this tread

So ok i tried #7465625*638*Code# / #7465625*638*# / and according to the instructions i got from the cellunlocker page i tried #0111*Code#, all of them returns the same thing "Connection Problem or invalid MMI Code"
I have tried other ussd codes and for example *#06# for the imei and *#7465625# which gave me the current status do work, also another one to see the Mac of the bluetooth, so i stuck here....

im going to answer your question, you can try to use an online tool to try to unlock your note, THE BIG PROBLEM is that you wont be able to use in any other company because telcel has locked the firmware, the only thing you can do is change your firmware and you will able to use with other provider
So.. When ics is out i can update and then unlock.. Cause there are no firmware updates right now

Just wanted to sat that i flashed a custom ROM... Then when using a different sim it gave me the option to unlock so now im unlocked and well that website i used for getting the unlock code was for real

using google play on your phone search for GalaxSim Unlock .... it worked perfectly for me
I think you have to have your phone rooted though...only minor prerequisite needed..
My lil cuz brings this phone for me to unlock went through the process got the unlock code when it came time to input the code it says network permanently locked need help asap guys. i'm thinking about taking it from him but i don't want a paper weight.
what can i do to get that lock removed
I am also facing same problem. My friend kept entering the code incorrectly 10 times and now the phone does'nt allow entering code.
message:
"this phone is permanently locked and can not be unlocked"

Hey guys, I flashed my friend's X8, with him. (Well we've been trying to fix this problem since yesterday)
And, now to the problem:
The phone is running on cm9, has never had a SIM lock or anything, before...
But now, we need a network code.... Can someone help me here???

i had the same problem when i install GingerDX v23b but to find this code you must buy a new corporation of gsm networks or press dismiss it when it shows up this message it have 2 ways 2 button press only dismiss and about the code i am not so sure but i think you can get it from the corparation sim card have been registered if you will go and tell her thats you need a password she will found it

Don' t try it. There is a counter for number of attempts for network code. Just click cancel if it works. If not search a little on this forum
