Delete or Format ROM - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario Software Upgrading

Hello, i'm new in this Forum.
I searched for an Answer to following Question, but haven't found anything:
In a previous attempt to SIM-unlock my Wizard, i tried a ROM from the Hermes unlocker. When i was prompted to where i wanted to install it, i picked "Storage Card". When i rebooted the Device, it had my actual Storage Card renamed as "Storage Card2" and the ROM is now called "Storage Card".
I can't delete it, and i cant rename the actual storage card. Now all my Apps that i had installed on the "Storage Card" are not working.
MY QUESTION: How can i delete this ROM, so that i can use my installed Software again?
Thanks in advance!

Storage card problems

Today i installed a bunch of different HTC programs and Skype
and i played with skype and it worked fine and after a little while i went to use it again and it wouldnt work .. and i find out that my storage card which was called "storage card" is now called "storage card 2" does anyone know how that happened? now any of the programs that i installed to it wont work because they are looking for "storage card"
any help would be greatly appreciated
Thats easy to fix, just delete the storage card folder that it created and reboot your phone and your storage card 2 will be storage card again. That's usually caused by you taking the card out and the phone trying to write something to the card such as email attatchments or whatever and since it doesn't find a card it creates a storage card file on your phone to replace it then when it find the card again it renames it to storage card 2.
i jus had the same sort of problem i deleted both sotrage cards, i deleted a new folder named storage card which showed as a normal windows folder and now wen i soft reset and the card is no where to b seen :s

All my cabs randomly deleted themselves

all the cabs and programs I've uploaded from here all say "The file _______ cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file." Now I understand what it says, but I havent moved, edited, or deleted any files/folders off my device. I'm going to reinstall all of it, but anyone have any idea why this would happen?

Did you install them to the SD card? Have you looked to see if they're installed? Most programs install to (root)\Program Files where (root) is the device or the SD card.
I suspect you installed them to the SD card and the SD card has a problem.
That, or you uninstalled several programs in a row and ran into the bug I see all the time where it doesn't remove what you expect it to, but in that case you wouldn't have shortcuts in the start menu (but you certainly could in other programs where you set it yourself).
There is a setting in Advanced Config to automaticly delete cabs after beeing installed, have you checked this?
i havent, but I'm glad I still had the cabs on my device as I just reinstalled them. If they werent on there, I would had needed to find them again...
This problem drove me crazy for two weeks. I decided to try to copy the contents of the SD card to my hard drive and then reformat the card.
While copying the SD card, I kept getting an error. I eventually figured out the Program files folder on the card has some corrupted files or folders.
I copied everything except the Program Files folder to my hard drive, reformatted the card, copied everything back to the SD card and reinstalled the cabs.

I have had this too. Twice in fact.
First time it was the My Documents folder of the SD card. Just a few days ago, the Program Files folder was affected. Soluation was to open the SD card directly from the PC thro the SD card slot, recover the files and reformat/ copy.
Lesson learnt: Always keep a copy of important SD card contents on your PC/laptop. I do, now. At 8GB, it doesn't matter much on my laptop.

what the heck is "Storage Card2"?

Ok so I started noticing that the songs on my storage card weren't all showing up on Media Player.... only some of them. I refreshed the library, and still only a couple more showed up.
So I popped up Resco file explorer to look at things... wtf? I have a Device folder called "Storage Card", and another folder with the storage card logo called "Storage Card2". In both are what look to be attachment storages.
How do I resolve this? I removed the card but I can't seem to delete the "Storage Card" local folder.
Oh and File Manager doesn't work at all
remove the sd card and soft reset the phone

My storage card likes to rename itself to Storage Card2 in the wiki covers this. Never had it happen to me personally but then I always take the card out when the device is powered off.
DO you solve this? the card2 appears when you have removed it and put it back again.
it recognizes it as card2. What I did was to back up, then remove card and erased card2. it worked to me.

help please?

I just got my note, for about 3 weeks now. I have installed some files. But somehow I dont know how to transfer the files on the "USB storage" into the SD card? anyone? Thanks in advance!
of course you need help when you are posting in Q&A, so dont name your thread please help. give it a name leading to topic -> read forum rules.
your sd card is mounted under /mnt/sdcard/external_sd in your /mnt/sdcard folder - normally.
open file explorer -> go to: sdcard -> external_sd. that would be your sd card.
uhm, Yeah I know where my sd card is. My problem is when I install apps and transfer them to my SD card. There are still some files/memory which remains in the "USB storage". How do I transfer those remaining files to the SD card as well? Thanks again.
long press the folder icon you want to transfer then it shown pop-up option for copy or remove or delete..

Is it a root problem? Sometimes you might just have to re-root the sucker.
Are all the things in your internal storage still present? With trickdroids 4.2.2 rom the "sd card" location moved so you had to find everything on the internal storage(folder named "0" for that rom) and simply move it all over to the new "sd card" location. I mean the SD card folder, not any actual sd card removable storage...
