Hi there, I have a BA (Imate PDA2K)running TUMA WM5 V.3. My problem is when I have my BA connected to a Seido powered in car cradle, I could hardly see the screen. In ambient day light in the car , the screen brightness is just faint. I have the back light setting in battery and power mode set to max.
Anybody out there has this problem, not being able to see the screen in day light??? And is there a solution. My wife has a MIO P550 and has excellent day light screen brightness.

Hi everybody,
I had a problem with my Qtek 2020i xdaIIi, the amber led light just wont turn off, even when unplugged to the charger, even it's not in charging mode, the battery discharge very quickly, only one night! (I use 2400 mAh battery!).
If I do a soft reset and don't turn off the PDA, the amber led is not turned on, so looks like normal, but if I turn off and turn on again, the ambed led will turn on in 4s approximately.
I have this problem since the day I unplugged my 2020i from USB cable on PC (usb mode with CARD EXPORT) without desactivate usb connection on PC side.
I've tried everything but still not working, flash rom, activesync & usb mode, unscrew and open the pda completely...
Can anyone help?

Do you have the original battery. Swap the 2400MHZ to the 1300Mhz. Before you close the cover, press the power on button and close the case.

Thank for the answer, I did tried it, but still didn't work.
By the way, I notice that only external power backlight brightness bar works normally, and the battery backlight brightness level bar fail to function.
Any others suggestions? Thanks.
Both with the default ATT ROM as well as with the TILT AKU.0.7.0 ROM my phone will not turn the screen off when docked.
I have the backlight and power settings adjusted to allow the phone to turn off the screen after 1 minute and turn off after 5 minutes.
When docked, instead of going dark and powering off per my settings, the screen drops to about a 20-30% brightness level and the phone never turns off.
I supsect some app may be keeping the phone awake, but disabling my plugins did not make a difference.
Anyone else experience this behavior?
I have an unlocked TyTN II, with stock HTC ROM, and thats how it's always been out of the box.
Maybe I'm just used to how my old Hermes behaved.
I noticed this too. Now if someone knew how this could be deactivated so the screen was completely off, that would be nice.

The Kaiser's screen, unlike Hermes, is not transreflective and if the backlight is off, the display is completely blank. HTC elected to have the display stay ON at a minimal brightness when the timer runs out.
At first I wasn't happy but at night, navigating, I like the fact that it auto-dims while attached to a charge cord.
As topic says, how can you make the screen dim itself during navigating with tomtom 7.
I don't have a car charger yet and the screen is constantly on when I'm using tomtom, which drains the battery.
Any ideas on how to change this?
You could always turn on the automatic backlight feature which will automatically turn the brightness up in bright light and dim it when in the shade.
Start, settings, power, backlight tab. Saves a lot of power when on the battery.
I've allready turned on that feature, but the screen won't dim at all when I'm using tomtom.
When I put my phone on the wireless charger at night, the screen turns on. Its like a beacon in my bedroom.
Anyone know how to disable this? I found the xposed module to turn off the sound, but that's just half of the problem.

Mine only makes a chime. Does yours stay on?
Do you have 'Stay awake' enabled in Developer options (see attached)?
Is the wireless charger magnetized?
Well, it doesn't stay on for long, but its bright enough to cast a light on the celing for a few seconds before turning off.
I dont want it to light up at all.
Its not a magnetic charger, just the little Nokia puck. Worked well withy Nexus 5.
Use a dark black background and the pixels will be off. You could even set it up so it switches to that wallpaper around your bed time or when it gets plugged in.
Just take the battery out.

You can't do that actually. One thing you do is to turn on the adaptive brightness and then put the brightness to lowest, now put it into charging. brightness is too much low with this
Like many I assume, I have my watch on charge on my bed side table, and use the alarm clock function to wake me in the morning.
What is slightly annoying is that when it is on charge, the watch face turns itself off after a few seconds, and you have to touch the screen to wake up the display to see the time if you wake up in the night.
Now by accident, after reading this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/watch-sport/help/lg-watch-sport-adb-t3554776
I have turned on developer options, and I now have the option while under developer options, to 'stay awake when charging'.
Now when the watch is charging, the screen rotates as usual, shows the time with charge status as before, but now, the display does not time out but remains on! The perfect bedside clock while on charge!
:good:
However, is there any downsides to having the display on all night with the potential to damage the display?
