Hello,
I have recently updated my 8125 to the new 3.0.0.0wwe Rom
now I used to be able to do a modem link and use my phone to connect my laptop to the net but now with this update my computer is asking for drivers for the phone can some one possible point me to a link or can someone email me the drivers so i can connect again thanks jon
I am running winxp pro the file being asked for is generic Rndis driver
i am using the folowing program on the phone Start-programs- internet sharing.
when i activate the pc askes me to install driver for Generic RNDIS
basically what i have to do is uninstall the original modem link driver. that was recently needed inorder to connect the phone to a pc. can someone please tell me what the name of this driver is (the driver was supplied on the CIngular welcome cd) and how to go about removing it.
[email protected]com
WinXP professional has the driver for USB NIC. Note that with AKU3.0 you can use "share internet" instead of modem PC link
I've used this one since my desktop never recognized my phone as a modem without this

Guys, please do follow my articles, they are all cross-posted to the General forum here. In the AKU3 Networking Bible ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=282780 ), I've also linked in the driver.

bit of a problem here... my pc crashed and i'm forced to use a new one... after connecting my BA using the cradle, my pc recognized the new hardware but was not able to install the driver for RNDIS BA... tried using the companion cd but the driver is not included there... already googled for it on windows.com and any other site i can think of but still cant locate it. d/led from ms.com the RNDIS USB kit 2005 but have no idea how to use it, the driver is not also in there. btw, the pc i'm using is not yet on SP2 so AS 3.2 is installed here.
so i used a laptop, upgraded to [email protected] and was able to install AS 4.2. connected my BA there and still cannot install the RNDIS for BA on laptop also... how come? do i have to downgrade first to 2003 so that it can be installed then upgrade back to wm5? hope someone can help me, or at least point me in the correct direction. thanks
The RNDIS driver actually is in the BA itself. Connect ur device with PC. Wait 4 a pop-up from bottom right " Your new hardware installed and ready to use". Then it will connect to ur active sync... You Hav to wait for few sec(depends on your pc performance) for it to install the driver.
If it won't work try uninstall the old driver then reconect

actually the pop up window will say there is a problem with your hardware and it is not installed and your new hardware will not work properly... not sure why, i didn't change anything in my BA...
I guess you installed ActiveSync 4.x.
Try this: open the devicemanager and selected the device not installed. right click and select update driver, now guide windows to look in C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync\drivers and it should detect the driver.

thanks meehaa, i downloaded that file but when i try to redirect the wizard to where the .sys file is, it won't recognize the file...
also tried to direct the wizard on all folders inside c:\windows hoping to get lucky but still no dice...
is it the device itself that has the problem? i can easily downgrade to 2003se and upgrade but since i'm not sure it will work, i'll just screw myself
I had the same problem
after rcoganizing it doesnt istall the driver
so install RNDIS
and after that you need to install this one too
try it

Are these drivers you are looking for...
I buy an HTC P3600 at second-hand, and I don`t have usb driver for Windows XP, my phone version is WM 5.1.465, can anyone help me with driver pls?
No driver needed.
there's no driver needed when you connect your ppc to the pc, however you need to install the microsoft's ActiveSync software to be able to synchronize your ppc with pc...
you can find more information and download activesync here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/activesync/default.mspx
I was performing the radio update on my MDAIII and now he hangs in the bootloader with USB in the upper middle und 2.08 in the under middle. All resets won`t bring it back to life. If I try to reinstall the update all I get is a blank message screen (update from version to version) in my Vista. How can I get out of there.
I did everything what was stated here
The original BAUpgradeUT won`t find my device. The MAUpgradeUt_noID.exe gives me the blank screen with the update from to screen.

I'm using a Vista PC.
After the Radio update to 1.15 the error described above is not to go away yet.
What to do, I'm nearly in tears.
Finally I got it back but with an old Romupdate from T-Online. Is there someone who got the QTC 9090 update (latest one)
That was fast..
im glad you solved your problem.
i think someone here has it.
just post what you need and make it as a title for others to read in the digest.
Im not a expert but is vista the problem??
Most likely.
Failed MDA II flash with vista notebook
Hello everybody,
I just read this thread in hope to find a solution for my problem, which is quite similar to the one described here initially.
I got a used MDA III with T_Mobile ROM. Since I'm a customer with O2, I wanted to change the ROM to O2 as well. I followed the directions given in an other thread here (don't have the link just now) and during the flashing, the flash application suddenly had no connection to my MDA III anymore. It was securely settled in its craddle an connected to my laptop via USB. Now my MDA III is stuck in Bootloader Mode with USB v2.07 displayed on the screen.
Each retry of installing either the O2 or the T_Mobile ROM now meet with the error 101: no connection. I read here that you managed to update successfully with a vista pc. Thus I wanted to ask, how you did that since I just don't seem to find the reason for the connection failing each time.
Here is what i tried to establish connection so far:
* disabled virus scanner & firewall
* unplugged the mda III and plugged it in again. It was recognized as a new device but that didn't help the connection issue
Could you please post what you did to make the update work under vista? Help would be greatly appreciated

Try on computer with Windows XP and kill activesynk (wcecomm.exe on taskmanager/processes)
Maybe it will work. If u cant flash O2 ROM try to use "MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe". On my Qtek 9090 allways flash using this APPS and allways work.
U can try too format device first, put it on candle and use "mtty1.42.exe". On XP, kill active sync, and open mtty1.42.exe and select port USB and put OK. Do "Enter" on command and should appear USB>. After this write Task 28. This will format all your PC. Try install SO after this. This command delete all files on PPC. I have attach files that you maybe need.
thankfor the tipp and sorry for my late reply. Since I have no XP PC available i tried the mtty1.42.exe on my vista notebook. When i run it however, it only lists com port 1-3, no usb port. Do i have to make a special configuration on vista for it to work?
Thanks in advance,

In vista i dont know...sorry for my late reply too.... in XP u must kill ActiveSync process called wincecom.exe. in vista, maybe u have to kill the Windows Mobile Device Center....i dont know...
Dont forget, put the Qtek 9090 in Boot Loader Mode (Pressing Power Button + Record Button + Reset), maybe will appear USB and u can format the device.
If this does not work, try on Windows XP....Find a friend with Windows XP and ask him to use his PC only to do that.
Maybe somebody in forum have the Windows Vista and can help u....
Sorry my terrible english....

Downlaod the XDA IIs .exe file and run it - no need to put into USB mode
http://www.o2online.ie/wps/wcm/conn...es+&+accessories/Xda+Range/Software+upgrades/
this should reset to factory default (o2)

Hello I am new here and a noob in the scene. I was trying to upgrade my Trinity D810 with my Vista Ultimate 32Bit. And I keep on getting the same error after going into the 3 Color screen (on my D810). Is there any solution?
And If possible can it not involved installing XP juz to get it to work? Cause I lost my copy of XP.
Goto www.trinityguides.info and it explains how to get it working in Vista, you need to install different drivers and it will work, I am using Vista and have the Dopod ROM on it
Thanks.
But I have been trying to follow the guide there.
But I can't seem to undate the drivers of XP on to my Mobile.
My connection from my PC to my Mobile is only through USB, and if I follow the guide, I cannot update the drivers as it ask me to not authorize USB connections.
I'm at a lost of what to do now.
I think you need to read it again, You should be changing the drivers in Vista for the HTC drivers from the USBAS folder, Then after you turn off usb connections in WMDC it uses the USBAS driver to connect. I found that I had to update the drivers every time I wanted to change a ROM.
I just want to connect so i can update to the newest swedish rom released.
And of course everything else
When i connect the usb to phone i get the alternatives "Activesync" or "disc-unit" or something like that.
I choose activesync.....it connects but after a few seconds it disconnects.
It will show up on my pc but just disconnects right after....it has always worked before.....i really don't know what to do.
Then i use the other alternative to connect.....it seems stable but it is extremely slow.....one mp3 at 3mb takes about 40minutes to upload to phone.
I have the "Official Update 1.37.401.3" installed but i want install the newer one.
Please help me.
My usb cords i have tried using is flawless....everything works.
Im running Vista Ultimate Retail.
Please help me through this ordeal....I'm almost at the point that I'm going tp buy another phone and leave htc forever
I really want this phone to work. It worked before actually...It might be when I updated with the Official Update 1.37.401.3 or exactly a few days after that my problems appeared.
REALLY NEED YOUR HELP XDA-PEOPLE!
Have you tried connecting it while it's in bootloader mode? If all you want to do is flash the ROM that's the best option.
One question, why did you "upgrade" to the 1.37 ROM? Isn't that what came on the device?
Open active sync (it allready might e open as u tried to connect) and go to menu (on the right) select connections and see if u have use usb connection enabled.

Yes it is enabled.
Windows XP uses Active sync V.4.5.0
Windows Vista uses Windows Mobility center:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-vista/features/mobility-center.aspx
First check your advanced energy-settings (control panel, system)
To make sure put everything on 10 minutes, as these settings will reset as soon as your new (and faster 1.93) rom is installed.
Connect your phone and make sure you select the sync option, not the external disc option. Make a backup.
Then use an unsigned hard-spl if you have firmware 1.37 or higher. (signed won't work) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=400950
When finished install the rom you like.
I Resolved It!
I managed to flash my phone with the new swedish official rom.
So I can connect now.
Thanx for helping me.
The problem seemed to be in Windows Vista...it wouldn't allow my HTC to keep beeing connected for too long
I resolved the problem on my other computer.
And I love the speed of the new rom by the way ...It gets better and better all the time.
Thanx again XDA Developers.
have same problem
