2.5 rom, when?

summiter mentioned a 2.5 rom a bit back, but i havent heard or seen anything about. is there such a thing? if not, what is the newest and best rom out there, i have a i-mate k-jam on cingular, i believe im using the first rom with the a2dp and its not the beta qtek rom.

With some community effort, we could create an AKU3 ROM with BePe's stuff.

Nope. That's their AKU2.25 that's been shipping on recent 8125s WITH the G4 flash. I overwrote mine with Mr. Clean's AKU3 using Risidoro's instructions and now am trying to cook Summiter's sutff in just for fun.[/url]

Thats the 2.25 ROM they released in July. It's a pretty good update from stock, but I'm still waiting for 2.5 or 3.0 from Summiter.

I haven't seen a real 3.0 around... which carrier has that?

Hopefully Summiter could pop in and give us an update. I have been surfing the AKU 2.3 thread and seems that it is the latest one he put out. I am holding off on that in the hope that the 2.5 will show up.
Maybe I shouldn't be waiting?

Which version of WM6 is better for the HTC Wizard/Cingular 8125/MDA? PDAVIET3 OR PDAVIET4? Will it run as snappy as a brand new untouched WM5 device?

pdaviet4 = pdaviet3 + WMP error while playing mp4, mid, arm, ... fixed!

I just hate the complete PDAViet editions of Crossbow!!
There is only 1 Leaked Crossbow version from Microsoft and PDAViet already maked 4 versions and every time something wasn't good.....memory leak, Faria's name in the Camera app, WMP fix not included, wrong registry values and so on...
To me it looks that they just want to act though but are releasing unfinished and not well tested Roms.
Too bad I cannot release my Crossbow edition

to answer your question, i think PV3 seems a bit more smoother for me...there are issues with it, but u can fix those with some tweaks...

There are a fair number of people, myself included, who have tried the various Crossbow ROMs and concluded, yourself included, that they are not ready for primetime...
But I reallyreallyreally want to move on to Crossbow! So, PLEASE, you, Faria, risidoro, the rest of the Wizard wizards, let us know if there is anything we can do to help!

I just installed it on my pda.... it's ok, but the key on the keypad are all wrong! when i try and type in y i get z and when i press z i get y... and so on... anyone know how to fix this. Or a beter rom build?

His CB is probably based on the same leaked version. He probably has done a better job at testing it. PDAViet CB's problem is they don't test it completely before releasing it. However, most of the tweaks are known already; therefore, all we need to do is do some minor fixed to make it works perfectly for us. Can't see how he can do a better job than what have already been known.
Back on topic. To the OP. Most of the "old" timers, the one who have tried the CB ROM since it was first realease such as Vilem will tell you that they like PDAViet ROM better than the Underground. Most of the Johnny come lately will jump on the band wagon and tell you that Underground is the best because it was released recently . Well, you can always test all of the version by yourself. I have tried the Orwell, Underground, and I still come back to the PDAViet.
PDAViet 4 = PDAViet 3 without the cooked signature on the splash screen and some minor fixed.

Mr UZI man, am looking forward to your release whenever that might come. But I would say Orwells with all registry fixes is best. If it HAD t be bewtween PDAviet3 or 4, 3 is better than 4.

It is....but it is much better tested and less bugs and more integrated in the Rom itself!

yeah , i was also testing PDAviet4 and it sucks can't actually believe people are still using it , i went back to faria's version that look like WM6
I recommend not to used till T mobile release its MW6 version

Used registryWizard ant It states that I'm having AKU 2.0 and my question is:
What is AKU and what is the functionality??
I've seen there's a AKU 3.3 v2 in the forum and what is the difference?
Is It any idea to upgrade to AKU 3 if I'm running WM6 already?

AKU 3.3 is WM 5, so no if you have WM6 AKU3.3 would not be an upgrade for you, though it may work better depending on what you use your device for. I don't think there is even a 1.x AKU for WM6 yet. Most threads tell you what features are new or changed on the first post of the rom thread. It is up to the individual users to place a value on these features and determine what is right for them.
I would suggest you don't worry about AKU just read through the threads and find out which rom offers the best iterations of the features you want/need for your device.

Since there's almost nobody replying any more in the wizard upgrading forum I'm asking here for some rapidshare or other dl links to get my hands on some Windows Mobile 5 AKU 3.3 OS Roms.

The thing is no one is really messing with wm5 no more. thats why its harder to find roms. I just recomend you get on wm6 .

Problem is WM6 is unreliable on 8125 on Cingular/AT&T with any Radio

Isn't that ROM you gave us a T-Mobile one?

That's just what I don't want. It's not as stable as the WM5 roms.
Been trying out lots of WM6 roms but they all have their problems.

Only PM me if you are going to give these ROMz the respect they are do!
Vilem did and continues to do an excellent job hosting WM6....
