Would someone mind uploading the original splash screens for the 8125? They are the only piece of the puzzle I need to restore my 8125 to almost out of the box condition.
Thanks!
i would imagine if you restored the old cingular rom it would be included.
Nope, they are not - I have already done that.
Not sure why they are not already on the ftp site - the radio rom, os rom, and ext rom are there. Just need the splash screen to complete the transformation, so please give me a hand

Best,

Thanks, just what I needed
Hi,
I've read through the posts on modifying your splash screen, but my problem is not addressed in the posts - my Cingular 8125 goes from the Cingular splash page directly to the OS....I'm not seeing the Windows Mobile splash screen at all anymore. Before this began I did go thru some software install/uninstall issues and did end up having to do a hard reset - did something get corrupted?
I've made notes of the procedures posted here about modification of the splash screen, but I'd like to get back to Square One first.
Ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Backup the things/aps you have installed and reflash the official Cingular ROM. Voila, square one achieved.

Splash screen
Thanks for the tip - I'll do the research on this, because I think I've seen horror stories about people flashing ROM and bricking thier devices...

Research is always good, but you won't have a problem as long as you stick to your service provider's official ROM.

Double check that you have the file welcomehead.96.png (in \Windows) and it is 320x320, file size 26KB.
Does it always have to be 26K, cus i did my own and it is greater then that and i have no problems!
At the moment i have a kasier running Dutty's EXCELLENT touchflow rom ..
when i boot my phone i get a 'crappy' tmobile screen, followed by a HTC animation followed by the windows welcome screen .. then the phone boots ...
am i right in saying i need to patch the rom to remove the tmobile screen ???
i'd be happy with the HTC animation followed by the windows screen .. can i just remove the first splash??
thanks in advance
Yes, you do need to "patch" the ROM to change the splash screens - and you can't remove one, you have to replace it with another one, which in your case would be the HTC one....
Read MrVanx's Guide on Custom Splashscreens for details of how to change it.
As always, if you're not comfortable with flashing/patching your device - in case you void your warranty etc. - then it's probably best not to!!!
HTH,
Mark.
I that would be the answer!!
cheers mate .. i'm fairly confident but i'll read over that thread a couple of times first
For those who have flashed the Beta HTC Europe WM6.5 ROM, you'll stuck with an ugly 'For Test Only, Not For Sale' splash Screen.
Attached is the orginal splash screen which I've extracted from the Original ROM.
You'll need Olinex HardSPL to flash.

Oh you're awesome! I was hoping someone had an HTC branded splash screen ready to go. Not digging T-Mobile pink at all.
BTW - do we have a thread started on custom power-on splash screens for the Rhodium? Maybe a how-to-make on the NBH file for the Rhodium? Is it similar to the Kaiser or other devices?
God bless you
all the best!
Ya Mun !!!!
Thanks for this....Legend !!
Fairly new to this, I have Energy rom installed now, Can I install this with it and get rid of the Gay - t-mobile STICK TOGETHER

Absolutely. That's the very reason why I flashed this.
How does the original look like? Got a screen shot?
EDIT: To get this on my phone all I got to do is the normal flash?

It's got a black background with 'Touch pro2' in the middle using the same font that HTC uses to put 'Touch PRO2' on the phone.
It's simple, HTC-branded, and it's not blaring white+pink.
Awesome, looks so much better, thanks For THIS A+
Flashed it this morning. Good looks!

What if you have to bring it back to stock so you can send the phone in? Do you have a copy of the T-Mobile Stick Together Splash Screen?

I'd imagine it would be part of the stock T-Mobile US ROM floating around here. Not for sure though.

Its not part of that ROM, is there any other way we could get it back becasue I need to exchange my phone, I have a messed up keyboard...
Does anyone have the technical know-how to do this but with the awesome Windows 7 little-spinning-balls one that I've seen on a 6.5 ROM somewhere?
I prefer 6.1, but do like that little animation
My phone keeps going into bootloader mode after I click on the RUU.exe file. Can anyone help me get past this?
TIA,
Chris
personally, i've returned many exchange devices without reflashing bootloader, radios, and splashscreens. as long as there's no water or alot of physical damage, you're fine. this is with tmobile us.

Just flash the stock T-Mobile ROM. All Stock ROM includes Radio, ROM and Splashscreen.

Make sure you have HardSPL installed to your phone prior to flashing the splashscreen.
If you already have, you can also put your device in bootloader mode, plug the device to your PC via the USB. Wait until the on-screen sign change from 'Serial' to 'uSB' and run the RUU.exe.
Thanks SJ.
I just flashed in the stock HTC splash screen. However, I still get the screen (tMobile) where all the pink words come together to form the pink square (stick together logo). Is there a download out there to replace this?
Also, on the initial screen, where it shows the red lettering in the bottom right hand corner, can this be taken off somehow?
Thanks in advance,
Chris
Anybody have a WM6.5 ROM that retains the AT&T Splash? or, is there a way to reload the AT&T Splash/Startup sequence after flashing to a WM6.5 ROM?
Thanks!
Moved as not ROM Development and you will be able to search for splash screens in Kaiser section to find the AT&T Splash etc.

Did a search.. I found custom flash screens but not the stock AT&T splash. Looked through the splash screen list post but no joy.
thanks!
Just got the splash out of stock ROM converted from .nb to .nbh flashed to check worked it's attached also the animated.gif
Thanks bro! I'll give it a shot!
That's cool bruv
The animated.gif is original if you notice a bit of black between transition let me know as i have one edited just cut first last frame off.
Just tried the flash at&t splash you posted. The at&t logo comes up with the version numbers at the bottom right but the animation doesn't come up. Instead the custom animation that originally came with the ROM starts. Do I need to copy the gif file you posted to my tilt?
thanks!
With advanced config you can change it.
Load Advanced Config go down to HTC Animation then you will see the name, mine on ROM using is animated.gif so you would rename the animation from the .zip to animated.gif, copy to Windows Directory with Total Commander restart phone.
Thanks!! That did it. Now I see where to change the startup sound too. Thanks for the lesson!
Glad u sorted and happy to help
advanced config is well tweaky worth also looking under right softkey more functions as button mapping and comm manager setup there.
Have fun
