A businessman enters a tavern, sits down at the bar, and orders a double martini on the rocks. After he finishes the drink, he peeks inside his shirt pocket, and then orders the bartender to prepare another double martini. After he finishes that, he again peeks inside his shirt pocket and orders the bartender to bring another double martini. The bartender says, "Look, buddy, I'll bring ya' martinis all night long - but you gotta tell me why you look inside your shirt pocket before you order a refill." The customer replies, "I'm peeking at a photo of my wife. When she starts to look good, I know it's time to go home."

HTC ROM not closing apps?

FIXED: Sorry ... my noobish self didn't set the "End programs by Tapping 'X'" option in task manager and I haven't figured out how to delete my post, yet!
Finally gave up on Palm and switched to the Tilt(HTC ROM). I'm just getting used to a Windows Mobile device.
Before I get flamed, I did a LOT of reading and haven't come across this, yet, so I'm posting:
Tupisdin very nicely provided the SIM Unlock code. I used HardSPL for the SID unlock and I flashed the shipped HTC ROM earlier this evening without bricking the phone (whew!).
But now my OS doesn't seem to want to close my applications. Java, Google Maps, SMS/MMS and even the File Explorer don't seem to close when I click on the "X". They seem to stay open in the oh so convenient Task Manager drop down in the upper-right corner of the Today screen. And I have to close it from there.
I've tried soft resets but to no avail. Is there something I'm missing?
Mahalo!

The red squiggles show where I think a clue could be placed to show there are more items in the list. It could be an arrow key or any standard method of indicating there are moe things out of view. The red and green arrows are just possible alternatives. The programs touch flo screen could do with the same as it is not OBVIUOS there are more items to be seen.
A nice silver triangle button that fades when there are no more items would be cool.
Some may ask why I suggest this interface usability tweak (in any format). Good question.

Hmmmm......after using TF3D or even READING THE MANUAL it is obvious that there are more items to display.....
Don´t need an arrow in e.g. the contacts application to remind me that there is more than just one page.......but then again, that´s just me.......
BTW: I´ve long turned off TF3D for a less funky but faster and more usable interface.....
But
RTFM and learning are not available to the people who are not 'lovers' of the technology.
They pick it up, look at it, and don't enquire..
Many business users are almost or over, half a century old.
They wouldn't see the value of XDA Developers, etc.

If anyone, for any reason, does not read the manual of the device, they don't deserve to use its full potential.

Very soon now

Don't know if you've already got this, but here it is in case you didn't..
And here's the link.

1) Hard-SPL flash worked fine, tested on 2 devices (thanks conflipper+drellisdee) and I will do the final Hard-SPL files by tomorrow. I'll post here when that's ready for a last formal test. do not nag testers for any files until then, they are far from final (not all features included in HardSPL).
2) can the people who know how to use mtty, do the following check:
enter bootloader and do "info 8"? and if the result does NOT show "samsung_kby00n00hm" for DEVICE NAME, then PLEASE post the different DEVICE NAME here! this is just in case there are imagios with a different nand version (my code should handle that, but I like to check things out properly). thanks!

[GUIDE] How to run iPhone/iPod touch Apps on a PPC

So I was just browsing through some of the sub-forums and I found a lot of questions asking, "HOW KENN I RUN iPHONE APZ ON MI PPC?"
I today have brought you a solution.
Using this method, your phone/device will not need any additional memory usage, or even any additional software/hardware for that matter. All games will run full speed too! And the best part is -- none of this will affect your battery life!
Here you go folks! A picture is worth a thousand words, so this video is worth a million (Or something like that! )
http://www.youtube.com/v/HA17r26Ytz0&hl=en_US&fs=1
Tada!!
edit: This will work with all screen resolutions!

Upon further inspection it works on every phone on every operating system
It's a really hilarious* video showing someone running an app on an iphone which he has physically placed on top of a PPC.
* when I write, hilarious, I really didn't mean it.
Thread can be closed now, if not deleted, please.
It will run on my Tilt, as long as it is on my desk. But will not run on my Tilt if it is in the charging dock. Any ideas ?
fail thread.

thank you. i love that you like it
Mini Bag report.
Flash is beautiful, but what would like to see in it what would have been easier and better:
1) Can you put a Wi - Fi from the latest ROM HTC Oboe?
2) Can you deliver and the Notification Manager from the latest ROM HTC Oboe?
3) Icon Facebook'a different from the other icons in the Sense
4) The date on the slider is not very well-looked.
5) Include in ROM fix HTCVolume, that would work with the HTC volume altered the upper bar.
6) In the Documents tab broken work left soft key and right soft key.
7) The background of Sens, who in all tabs, not looks. (It would be better if left it black, so would be at higher speeds.
Otherwise, everything is very cool!
Sorry for my bad English ...
I haven't been in the Rhodium Forums in quite a while now. I didn't realize there was a new chef in town. Welcome! That's quite a good looking ROM you have over there. Keep up the good work.
