i installed molski aku 3.2 rom few days ago. it was working good but i realized that when i press z button it writes y, and when i press y button it writes z. then i installed aku 3.3 but it didnt work i mean i have same problem. i also installed RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE but nothings change.
so i need your help

You need to remap your keyboard. You can use a registry edidtor, but I don't remember the reg. value. It depends of your wizard. Where is it from. For example i got mine from france and the letters are not "qwerty" but "azerty" That thing don't bother me tough, coz I have english keyboard and I know where to find the keys.
Edit registry key \HKCU\ControlPanel\Keybd\ and change String Key called "Locale" to "0409"
mine is form germany o2 xda mini s. and i use english rom and have qwerty keybord on my xda.

What AKU are you on now? If >=3.0 then you must use the new IME reg patches. I don't have a WM5 device here now as all mine are testing WM6 but from what I remember this patch should work.
aku 3.3 installed on my device. i added all in text to regestry. but still same.
when xda mini s came to me a german rom was installed but i dont know did i have same problem in german rom. do you think installing any german rom can fix it
use aekmap to install the german keyboard settings

That should change the keyboard layout for either AKU. You could also try to download http://ae.inc.ru/aekmap.php but I'm pretty sure it does the same things.

I read this thread as I have a German T-Mobile HTC PU10 MDA that I upgraded the rom to 1.30.68 WWE. This worked quite well for me but mapped my Keybaord to QWERTY rather than what it is QWERTZ. ie Y and Z swapped along with variuos FN kys changed. I have been luiving with it for almost a year. I just follow Pencilcases instrcctions below and downloaded aekmap (free) and the English-Gernan Key borad and now Z and Y are in the right places (still some FN not were they should be but I am ging to work on correcting that. Do it yourself instructions for modifying layouts are included.

I want to put my keyboard in Spanish under WM6 and the old locale string in registry doesn't work.
It seems it uses this new IME reg, so I think applying this should work... the only thing is that I don't have the kbdsp.dll for the Spanish language.
Somebody know how to get it? I have found a version of it, but for XP. Do you think it will work in WM6?

Hi guys - I flashed my German Vodafone VPA compact II with the new Qtek ROM (incl.AKU2) 2.17.7.2 WWE. I love it, it works perfect - but there is only one problem : how can I change to the German keyboard layout (QWERTZ; the symbol layout (reachable with the red key) is also completely different from the US one !) ???
I already tried to modify the registry keys (HKCU/keyboard layout and HKCU/Control panel/keybd) but without any effect - the device stays with US keyboard layout !
Can somebody help me ??

The issue is, that I will have the operating system all in english, but change only the locale for the German keyboard mapping ! Is it not possible to extract the ROM, patch the keybord table and then flash it back ?? I guess that they have removed the other mappings due to size problems and thats the reason why the reg settings don't work :?

OK, after reading more carefully all the other postings, finally I got it !
How to make it :
Insert a new key(MUST be string type NOT Dword !!) 'Locale' under HKCU/ControlPanel/Keybd. The value is then '0407' (this is for a German keyboard layout). After that do a soft reboot (switching device off/on with the power on/off switch) - works great. The only thing that remains unsolved, is the ability of typing 'umlaut'; i.e. [a]+[red key]+[space bar] should give 'ä' but results in 'à'.
When somebody has also a solution for this, let us now

the Umlaute are stated in the sym.txt in your windows folde. Just edit 'em or use my language pack for there are more "bugs" for Germans using english ROMs (e.g. Transcriber, autocomple,..)

Hi all.
I´ve searched and searched but havn´t found either answer or file regarding my question.
I recently bought a used Qtek 9100 (still have warranty thou) and it has all the standard bugs of the old ROM. The ROM version I have in my unit is:1.3.7.13 SVE which obviously is an old one.
I´ve tried registering on the myqtek site to get the latest update ROM but without luck since my unit isn´t delivered by the Brightpoint corporation apparently. I´ve been in contact with Daangard as well who also wasn´t the deliverer. My only option then is to send it back to the original store where it was purchased and get it done thru warranty, but that will take around a month since the store is not in my town and due to service time etc. Obviously I don´t want to be without my phone for a month just to upgrade the ROM. I also don´t want to use any of the english versions since I want my regular swedish keyboard. So if anyone knows where I can download the latest swedish or scandinavian ROM (SVE) I would be extremely grateful!

Yes, it´s very wierd. At Daangard they said that if you for instance buy your unit thru webshops that is regsitered in sweden but operate from a different country, this can happen, and he mentioned expansys as one of them that operate from england but have a base here in sweden as well. My phone is bought thru a store called My Telecom here in Växjö Sweden (I live very far from Växjö), and I apparently have to send my phone to them first, and then they will send it to their support place!! And they said it could take up to four weeks!! Four weeks for a simple ROM update!!
Anyway, I really appreciate if you can upload the latest SVE ROM update for me so I can see if my problems with the phone being VERY slow and that it hangs from time to time and re-starts by itself etc etc..

Installed this latest ROM file yesterday, and I can´t believe how much better my Qtek 9100 performs now! Totally outstanding! Only been using it yesterday evening and today, but still, no hang ups whatsoever (used to be 10 times per day), no slowness at all, all menus open fast and it feels like a faster processor in it bascially even thou it´s not.
So thanks a lot again! I´ve gone from pretty much disliking it and wanting to sell it, to wanting to keep it because it performs so well!

Actually I don't think there is such a thing as a 'Danish' or 'Swedish' keyboard, but rather a 'Nordic' with both Danish/Norwegian and Swedish special characters, and the reason for this is that I have a Qtek 9100 where the keyboard in addition to the Danish æ, ø and å also has the Swedish ö and ä.
I have WM6 on this Qtek 9100 and have all the Danish and Swedish characters in their proper place on the keyboard, so if your keyboard is the same as mine, i.e. it has öä + æøå, then all you have to do after installing WM6 is to make a simple registry modification to have these characters in their right place.
The registry modification is to add a String value Locale="0414" under the key HKCU\ControlPanel\Keybd
This is also what you would have to do if you intall e.g. a WM5 WWE rom.
I also have a 2.17.7 WM5 SVE rom with a 2.61.11 radio, and I can upload this one to Rapidshare, but I'm afraid that it won't be before sometime during the weekend. there are tools to do that. Make a search (PHM regitsry editor) and read the Wiki...

So, I got it finaly working!!
I Wanted to use the Opal eT9 Keyboard Suite in my WWE Rom for quite some time now, but the T9 Menu with FN+Space maked it for me unuseable, because I need the function to produce ü,ä,ö for writing in German!!!!
I tried to make a fix cab but it didn't work...
So i made a cab with the Entire Suite which forwards the Original Funktion of the Fn-Space Key!
Many Thanks to DupinBJK for its original HTC Opal EzInput QVGA Project and MBarvian for his Keyboard Suite which i modified!!!

So I think i got a working fix cab now!!
Just install it over the original HTC Opal EzInput or the MBavarian Keyboard Suite and it should work!

Hey dude,
Let me explain you what I did:
1- installed a wwe rom as you said;
2- went to this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=426281 and downloaded [Full Keyboard] - phones with full HW keyboard (cab here http://www.4shared.com/file/65653543/320f3183/BJK_HTC_EzInput_QVGA_FullKbd_0409-RC1.html ) and installed the language from the same post (cab here http://www.4shared.com/file/65653788/aec7369/BJK_HTC_EzInput_QVGA_LPack_PT-RC1.html )
I can now use that nice keyboard, but when I slice hardeware keyboard, before if I want to do a "á" I should write "a" and the click fn-space to choose à, á, ä, etc.
After install those cabs and do the fn-space combination I get a menu to choose T9 portuguese, abc, choose language of the keyboard, t9 settings and about t9.

I have just installed a new rom for my S730 (from thread called NEW ROM FOR s730er(20279) )
Works pretty nifty (after changing language to english), but I got some other problems.
My old Æ, Ø, Å (danish letters) dosn't work anymore. Before they worked fine with the fn-key.. I guess it's some registry fix I have to make it work?
Also, is it possible to install some danish dictionary?

My guess is that that ROM doesn not contain Danish xt9 ldb files (and probably it doesn't contain keymap as well). You'll need the 0406/1030 files. You can extract those from a WM6.1 rom that does, then copy the Danish files over to your English ROM, add registry entries and you're settled.

I followed the instructions in the latter link above. The only thing to watch-out for is that in the registry you may get "Vox" instead of "Wings". Either rename the file or change the registry.

Need russian keyboard for S730. Any suggestions/files? Even without xT9...
I've managed to get Danish keyboard and dictionary just fine. One thing though. Before the 6.1 upgrade word-suggestion would suggest words with æøå even if I just wrote eoa. Example: If I wrote "star" it would suggest "står" too.
Any way to get that functionality back? Kinda of character alias function or similar.

I would like to hear if it is possible to get original scandinavian "HTC WINGS S730" Keyboard settings - in a cab - ready to installation, so letters like æ ø å would be listed in their original places, on the HTC keyboard, like fn + arrow right = Å etc.
PS. I had before a working version of the WM6 on a S730 ..
Then i installed 6.1 US English(flashed version) and the danish keyboard layout suddenly disappeared.

I have Nordic keyboard containing äöå-letters. I'm just wondering can I flash what ever WWE ROM and my nordic keys will be still working correctly?
Or should I just keep flashing the ROMs which are designed directly to Nordic region like 1.19.414.1 (51489) WWW (06/22/09)?

Hello, im in the same position... Happy owner of the Rhodium Scandinavian version.
What happend when i flashed my TYTN II with ROMS i installed a swedish patch onto it afterwards. Which means i could install any ROM and still use my keyboard as a swedish. Thanks to some "Gullum Svensk Diamond keys".
So maybe not at first but i bet it will show up. And also it seems fairly easy to modify the keymap. According to this thread:

I used to have my hardkeys working with Danish keys on my Kaiser, even on WWE ROMs. I'm hoping that someone will put a selection of language CABs for hardkeys together, once more ROMs are available for Rhodium.
You can easily change the HW keyboard to the Nordic/Scandinavian Keyboard layout. This will work for Norwegian, Swedish and Danish. (Also see full thread: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Rhodium/ChangingKeyboardLayout)
In short you need to do two minor changes in the Registry on your device with a registry editor like PHM Regedit.
A) This will give you Nordic Keyboard:
Change the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD\?CurLang from “1033” to “1044” for Scandinavian (Decimal)
B) This will give you Nordic FN keys:
Change the value HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Tegic\eT9\Ime\?KeyboardLayouFiles\07FF from “eT9.Rhodium.wwe.kmap.txt” to “eT9.Rhodium.0419.kmap.txt”
Soft-reset your phone after any change.

I just flashed my Touch Pro 2 Norwegian with the EnergyRom, I simply love it.
In order to get back my norwegian keys the two registry changes above did not work. The new value in both registryfields has to be 0414. Then all my keys are working as they should.
