CID unlock - once forever or i need to unlock it everytime?

originally i've had k-jam ROM on my wizard but then i've flashed it using aWizard with Qtek ROM and then using RUU with RadioROM. before flashing process i did CID unlock of course. but now i'd like to flash it again with this RUU:

but i've a bit doubt about CID unlock, so my questions are:
1) do i have to do it again before using RUU?
2) does this RUU lock CID again so after flashing wizard with RUU will i need to unlock it later?
i already know that using aWizard it's needed to enable RAPI every time but CID unlock matter is not that clear.

Noob help needed: Is phone CID locked or not?

Is my Wizard CID locked or unlocked?.
Here is the phone's details at present after I HardSPL(ed) it.

Question is, I thought that the HardSPL process, CID-unlocked the phone, why is the tool showing it is locked?.

HardSPL isn't CID unlocking; is 'simply' patching a modified SPL (hence the name) to fool the bootloader into allowing flashing any ROM.
When WST checks the CID status it reads the CID block zone (which wasn't touched) thus reporting the REAL CID status

Q 2:can you advice on any WM6 roms that are G4 safe to use?
I get the following problem error message with each WM6 rom is used to date.
[ERROR 300]"INVALID UPDATE TOOL: This update utility cannot be used for your PDA phone. Please get newer update utility".
I have searched and read many post on this problem in the forum but I am being super cautious, before I attempt anything I am not sure of regarding G4 limitations.
I am sure after I do the first upgrade sucessfully I will become more confident and adventurous.
Sorry forget question 2 I just read that ROM recommendation is not allowed in the forum.

The details posted lead me to believe you have a WM5 but can't be sure
As for the update tool you must try to use the ones posted by the cooks of the most recent ROMs
I don't know where you were told the ROM recommendation isn't allowed . What more experienced users say is that there are so many good ones that it gets hard to choose from. My favorites at the moment are the TNT ROMs

By the way I am presently using WM5. Just wanted to upgrade to WM6 to gain a little speed and newer apps.

how do you know if you have the new spl

I downloaded the spl from haykuros site and radio flashed the radio first then the spl on top of a jf build. I want to know how to tell if I have the spl. I think I have it because I had and ion rom for a while but I just need to know. I know I'm a noob

First: Search, if you cannot find after at least 5 minutes of search, then you're allowed to start a new thread.
Its annoying to answer questions that people have answered hundreds of times on these forums.
Anyways, to check, turn off your phone, then hold down the camera button as you press the power button, a tri-color screen will popup and on the top it will tell you which SPL you have. If you have the: HBOOT 1.33.2005 SPL then that's the new one.

How about finish reading my previous post?...

So to upgrade just flash the new spl right but I know you changed it its okay I might of been on a jf us if that was a problem

changed what?
And you need to read the guide to updating to the new SPL... there are dangers to it that you need to be aware of.
Req's:
The newest radio, make sure everything is the same, I've seen a similar version with one letter different that could brick your phone if you use it.
A PVT board which you said you have.

Also after flashing the new spl your phone will not boot so you will need to take your card out and put it in a card reader and load your rom up that way and flash again. The new spl overwrites your existing rom.

Go into fastboot mode and if thats what HBOOT says then you have it, if not then you dont

i followed these guides its unlocked, CID unlocked has ipl 3.06 and i flashed it to wm6.5 but its still wm5 why?
