Dear gurus,
I have 2 Blue Angels here at my office, which were bought at the same time. One of them has been through many WM5 ROM upgrades without any problem whatsoever, and only now, with the recent advancements (esp. conection Sharing), the other user is willing to do the 'leap of faith'
Strangely, his machine has been behaving consistently bad when trying to upgrade using the cradle, although it syncs without problem.
Thus I'd like to try to back up the WM5 ROM from my BA and flash it using the SD card on his device.
Is it possible?
Instructions are welcome.

Thanks Joe for raising the question. I will not have access to my PC for sometime and flashing from an SD card sounds great.
Thanks in advance,
Since it doesn't seem HTC wants to give us a ROM update, I'm thinking of flashing my p3600. I have some questions:
-What are the roms that support minisdhc? To me this is more important than wm6, I don't even care about wm6, but I really need the 4Gb the minisd can provide?
-How well would a backup process work (like spb backup). I understand they say it doesn't work with rom upgrades but has anyone tried it? I have tons of programs and it would take me days to install everything again.
-What are the best roms?
Thank you.
it could be that it's a hardware issue rather then a software issue
with sdhc
many sd card readers for pc also dont support sdhc
micro SDhc 4gb
my friends, i have a 4 Gb microSDhc and its works fine
SanDisk with an adaptator for mini SD
with faman 3.3 rom
Well I bought a sdhc card and tried it on my p3600 and it works, with the original HTC ROM so I didn't need the upgrade.

I have a similar problem.
I upgraded my Kaiser rom from WM 6 to 6.1 about a month ago and it was fine until 2 days ago, my SD card folder suddenly disappeared.
I tried downgrading it but still didn't work. Any senior member can help?
Hi I have
HTC Himalaya PH10A
[CE OS 5.2.23001 (Build 23001.5.0.60)]
and I want to upgrade my radio v1.06.01
I downloaded two radio versions v1.17 and v1.19
i read that v1.17 is most stable version,
and v1.19 has a flight mode issue but it is the latest version
I dont use flight mode so I would like to upgrade to v1.19
but my connector is broken so i can only use SD card
so my question is how to upgrade new radio with SD card on my himalaya
i cant find this anywhere i used search and nothing, or im searching wrong
pliz help!
1.17 is better anyway.
ok then ill use 1.17
but i didnt get an answer how to upgrade new radio with SD card
i think it's no so easy to upgrade your hima from sd, you need to have a sdcard backup for have some information and the only way for do a sdcard backup it's to have your connector.
i think it's better to solder your connector on your motherboard.
i already done the rom upgrade with sd card, friend has the same himalaya and we did it with his!
but is it the same process for radio rom install with sd card??

Don't know it exactly, it should be the same. Can you wait about 2 or 3 weeks.
I'll disassemble the old one of aeroflyluby and use the spare parts. Are you able to solder a new used connector or is the mainboard damaged?
i think its not damaged, idiot in some mobile service soldered only 2 pins just for charging but usb doesent work, i dont even have a usb cable or a cradle so i find out few months later at my friends place, i seen this when i opened my himalaya the guy didnt even tell me that he done that
but i cant solder small pins like that, even he couldnt do it i think!
i would like to update my radio cause sometimes i cant get normal connection in places where is normal signal, and for the battery life cause my battery lasts on only one day if i use it a little
Did you test this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=596798
Underclocking when the phone isn't used works fine. You don't have to overclock, if you don't want to! Just set max speed to 400mHz.
So, it is a new connector badly mounted to your device? There should be a workaround to fix it, maybe someone else knows to fix that easyly !?!

Flashing Radio from microSD

***IMPORTANT***
Please make sure you have HardSPL on your device. And also make sure you have more than 50% of battery left or you can plug in a charger just to make sure there is no power failure. I am not sure if SIM unlocked is necessary prior to performing these steps, so hopefully someone (maybe pof) can help me with this. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
1. Get a 128MB MicroSD card (or whatever size you like) and format it (***please make sure you format it, but not just delete all contents on it) NOTE : Make sure you format it FAT32
2. find the Radio image you would like to use, normally named RUU_Signed.nbh, and rename it to "KAISIMG.nbh" [i think this part is not for hima, its Radio_.nbf]
3. Plug the card into the phone, then enter boot loader mode by pressing down the Power and Camera buttons simultaneously, and using the stylus at the same time to press the RESET button at the left side. Continue pressing the two buttons for a few seconds after pressing and releasing the reset button until the bootloader screen appears. (taken from Wiki)
4. You will first see a tri-color screen then the information on the card. Press power button to start flashing.
5. After all these are done, press the reset button located at the bottom of the phone to reset the device.

I take no responsibility for any conflict, fault, or damage caused by this flashing procedure. No warranties of any kind are given.
Can we try this on our himalaya??
No. We can't

Hello,
Ive got a HTC touch diamond (DIAM100). Ive allready tried a lot of android roms, but never found one that i could really use in daily life. Some of them are to slow to use and some of them have problems with connecting to wifi and gsm. Has anybody a rom installed on his HTC touch diamond (DIAM100) that i could use for daily use. Please let me know where to find it! I dont mind if it isnt the latest release, as long as its works smoothly for my device!

I'm using Tiadroid8 which is very fast and stable also you can use Tiadroid9.to run these two roms you have to create 4 partition your sd card(internal storage 4GB)one fat32 and 3 ext this is for the tiadroid8.to install tiadroid9 you have to create again 4 partiton one fat32 but not 3 ext2 but 3 ext3.if you need any help i will send you link for these two great roms from tiad8.

Press the "thanks" button if I'm was helpful
Does tiadroid9 fully work ?
Also i tried installing tiadroid8, but it doesn't work, it keeps repeating a message after i launched haret. Just to be sure, you flash the updata-T8.zip in recovery right ?
Thanks

Have you formated right your sd or not for tiadtoid8 .Yap tiadroid9 is fully working but is ext3 format so one fat32 partition and 3 ext3 partition one name system 200mb one other data 500mb and one other cache 250mb
yes true that it says chrisg4! to be able to flash rom android on the SD card, before you should have already partitioned SD card FAT32 and EXT3. use Minitool Partition Wizard to partition your SD card, after that placing all android rom file on the SD card (FAT32)
